Wow, the graphics are awesome, but it would be better to have more indications. In general, this game is great and I loved the atmosphere it creates. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the player collider which was ill-fitting in my opinion. Great job!

I think you should make it more clear to climb the mountain. I love the atmosphere and the sound effects where great! keep up the good work :)
Skyrim taught me how to climb mountains like these :) Great game.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this game - discovering the caves feels awesome. Great work!
Great game. Calm and just a little creepy. Great Atmosphere. It was fun being a tiny bit lost. I'd love to know how you made the cave and how long that took y'all. Thanks for the fun little experience.
The game was actually supposed to be a creepier type of game where you climb down into this mountain and there are pitch black shadow hands in the walls that would grab your head if you got too close. But it ended up being a chill game which I am happy with!
For the caves I just used rudimentary shapes like cubes and extruded them along to make a path way then I loop cut and extruded it some more to make other path ways. I didn't want to make it too complex and have it be a serious maze but just a nice small, easier paced one. I then modeled around the maze that I had made using basic shapes. I didn't get a ton of time to texture paint so it does look awkward and bad in some areas (in my opinion) because time constraint. I then went around placing the mushrooms and crystals around which took forever, they have an emissive shader on them; they emit lights that was able to be baked into the environment and that was pretty much it. The caves didn't take me that long because after making the mountain which took me too long I had figured out an efficient way to do it. The mountain and the hole took me about 2 days or so while the caves took me 3 or so hours for modelling and texturing. Placing objects though took around 2-3 hours because there was so many objects and I had to make sure the lighting was okay by baking constantly.
Thank you for your feedback and i am glad you had fun!
This is quite mesmerizing to play, love the whole atmosphere of the game! This is definitely not your traditional game! One thing that I noticed was the clipping was quite noticeable, sometimes breaking the illusion, but at most it was fun. Another thing I noticed was the player felt weighted, maybe a design choice? Overall a good experience(notice the words used). Not much of game play in this. Another thing that would be great is if we had some kind of "Developers hand" tricks used to guide the player. I found myself lost at time, both literally and figuratively and for a game like this that's kinda good sign. But I can see how it can be frustrating for few, so maybe adding more dynamic sounds and some kind of visual representation in the level to indicate that we are going deeper and deeper into the hole
Thank you for your feedback; the camera was troublesome and I didn't get enough time to play test it to really get the feel of it.
My friend was trying to code a climbing mechanic but we realized that it was much harder than anticipated. We did have ideas like repelling with rope and actually scale / climb down the inside of the mountain.
[Spoiler] I'll try to implement it better next time with leading the player. There was some signs of it but nothing really in your face. In the mountain cave there is mushrooms and crystals. You start in a room full of mushrooms and if you follow them it leads you to the end while the crystals lead you astray. I do understand that it is hard to see because they are both strongly lit cyan. But i'll try better with the actual modeled environment itself next time!
Thank you for your feed back; it is greatly appreciated from a different perspective! I hope you enjoyed playing :)
Oh my... 15 people rated already. Here, have a sixteenth, this is awesome
Would love to see a fully fleshed game with this kind of style. Rolled around the over world for a while until I just decided to scale the mountain. Eventually found the bonfire :D
I started exploring the forest and by the time I got to the mountain I forgot about the jump, climbing took some time haha. But sprinting quickly through the hole was really fun, not sure if it's made so all paths lead to the end or I was really lucky, running deeper and deeper without stopping was a nice reward for climbing, decent game!
Beautiful environment.
If there are more guidance, it will be better!
In the maze I can't find my way and also the cave is too dark.
