Nice concept and style. I like the gameplay a lot, and the audio sounds pretty good except that it's mixed a bit too low. I had my volume turned up quite a bit to hear it. I would've also like a visualization on how many "Q peaks" I have left. It doesn't seem like the play can go back up once they go down, which is a shame. The player can fall indefinitely once they go outside and walk off the level. There are other small things like victims being counted before being thrown out a window, and I wish you could pick up multiple people at once, but otherwise great work!
Thanks Daulton! We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us!
Since we wouldn't have time to implement an audio slide or some form of options menu, we opted to leave the music not to high so we didn't blow people ears out lol, but in some systems or audio devices it can definitely be an issue.
We also like the idea to include a counter of how many uses you have on the Q powerup, and carrying multiple people at the same time.
We decided to not allow the player to go back up the floors by default*, because we thought it would provide an extra challenge since the player would need to make sure he got everyone on the floor so he can proceed to the lower levels, which makes the Q powerup more relevant and valuable.
*What I mean with "by default", is we have plans to add placeable stairs as an item like the bomb, so the player can go back up if he needs to, but that is part of a future iteration.
About the rest of the issues, those are part of small bugs we didn't have time to fix, but we'll definitely have a look at that on future updates.
Once again thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it!
Fun Game
UI is awesome
Thanks for the tutorials
All the best and Good luck! Do check out our game we need the feedback! - https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/574293
Had a play of your game in this video here - at 23:50 -, where I give my thoughts while I play. Hopefully it's helpful feedback.
If you have time I'd greatly appreciate it if you could give my game a go to, happy jamming
This game is very funny !! :D , i really enjoyed playing it!,
it is challenging and have a lot of different mechanics so it makes it doesn't feel recitative.
The UI is very cool too, the tutorials are funny !
Overall Excellent game :)
Waiting for your feedback and rate on our game :)
It's a really great game. It's unique and pretty fun to play. Good job!
I'll say its a pretty good game. I liked playing it. But instead of a time limit there should be system like STAR RATING, like ANGRY BIRDS. So you don't get punished for NOT finishing under time, but you get higher distinction for finishing quicker. Or like Sonic S A B C D E F ranks.
Well, pretty nice game.
Brilliant!! And very, VERY funny!! I loved that!! Some ragdoll poses were absolutely hilarious. XD
Great job! Please keep on developing this!!!
Here is our game, please consider rating it too ;)

Really cool mechanic and great execution. The controls were buttery smooth. I like that you instantly pick up the people. While it would have been more realistic to animate picking them up, it would have been so frustrating to wait for that to finish while on a countdown. The destructible walls were so satisfying to knock down too. 10/10 would defenestrate again.
What a cool idea..... How do you manage to make the breaking down of the walls so clean? This was definitely one of the more innovative games of the jam. Sometimes there were slight hicks in the gameplay wit movement/picking people up? but Im pretty sure that was all on my end. The only thing that upset me slightly was the fire, for me it just felt a bit out of place.
Overall, I'm quite happy to have stumbled across this game, has a nice look and feel and I look forward to seeing you participate in future jams!
P.S. Also you should definitely try to spread the word of your game a bit more, not with spamming the forums but maybe rating other peoples games (it deserves to be much higher than where it is now)
We used a plugin by Nvidia called APEX Destruction that turns a mesh into multiple chunks set by us, and with a line trace we apply impulse and switch the normal wall with a destructible one and a second to be the "leftovers" of the original wall and deactivate the player collision response on the chunks so you can move through them with no problem. It's now discontinued, a little big buggy to work with, and can definitely not work for what you may intent to as it almost didn't for us, but it's what we somewhat knew how to work with. I would suggest studying chaos destruction from Unreal (the game is made in UE4 btw) if want to make something similar, since it's their in house implementation of what APEX did, but that I would imagine it's much more stable and reliable (even tho it's in pretty early stages).
The problems you described it's not super common but definitely not just on your end, those are part of small bugs we didn't have enough time to fix as you can see from the 15 minutes before deadline (lol), and yes! We agree on the fire thing, it was kinda rushed till the end, thats why you couldn't see it present on the first two levels.
Thanks for the review and we're super happy you got to enjoy our game! We're sure out there playing other people awesome games and leaving rating and feedback in hopes other people do the same to ours, thanks for the tip!
How to save her?🤔😄
I really enjoyed the gameplay but one important point: the stairs!
HAHA, and here were we crossing our fingers that nobody would notice the lack of stairs! We had a talk about that, we originally planned to include space for stairs but block them with fire, it didn't make into the final version of the jam as you could (not) see lol.
Thanks for playing and we are very happy you got to enjoy our game! And oops, looks like the collision is a bit funky there mate, sorry!
