In what way does your game fit the theme?
I have two features that include REWIND. One is the reversal of enemies of like colors and the second is actually turning time in REWIND for up to 5 seconds to help avoid enemies. (Some enemies are not effected on purpose)

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and assets are my own. I have uploaded 3 Audio files that I did not create myself

Good game and I like the used music in this game.  I'm not sure how to rewind since there is nothing telling me how.  Adding controls information in the game would help.  Good job with the extra features like the achievements and the character selector.

Developer(+1)

Thanks Abdulla! I put the controls in the description of the game since I didn't have time to build out my tutorial before the deadline. I am for sure adding that as a feature.

Thanks again for playing my game!

Great idea and particles.Want to see diff shape of particles where u rewind it,it hit others and make way for u.

Developer

Funny you say that. That is one of the features I had on my chalk board did not have time. Wasn't really sure how I was going to implement that, so I pressed on with what I could make in time to submit.

Thanks for playing my game!

I had fun playing this one! I agree that moving the player could be a bit fast at times, but I managed okay there. I like that you change colors and can bounce back the same color, but it was hard to time the color change. I saw the bar at the top, but I found that most of the time it was easier to try avoiding them than to bounce them back in case I changed just beforehand. This is a good game for trying to beat my own top score, though! Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the input Aaron! Yeah, I kind of wanted the gameplay to be a bit hectic and about chances. Do you really want to go for that square when the timer is low? Sometimes it works out and some times it doesn't. ;-) I think with all the comments on player speed, I might add a setting for that.

Thanks for playing my game!

The velocity on the player is to high. Slower is better. Overall good game.

Developer

I am seeing a reoccurring theme. I will definitely look into that as an update. Thanks for playing my game!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea, but the player moves too quickly. I think having a higher acceleration and lower maximum velocity on the player will make it easier to control.

Nice game feel.

Developer

Great input. Will look into that. As I mentioned in an earlier comment, I might make the player speed a setting. Thanks again for playing my game!

Good game. I liked the particle effects. The character moved a little too fast.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing my game. I might think about having a setting where character speed is a setting.

Fun game! It doesn’t make rewind the most important feature though. The audio was very good!

Developer

Thanks for the comment. I am up for suggestions, though I didn't want the game to be too easy with a rewind and I wanted that if you died, you died. What were you thinking could be enhanced? I might implement it.

Thanks again for playing!

I really liked it! I do think the countdown slider should've been closer to the player so it'd be easier to keep track of, and maybe signpost what the next color might be.  That is, if you are planning on any updates. Good submission!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I do plan on updating and will take that in to consideration. Thanks for playing my game!

I felt the controls were very difficult to handle and that the color changed far too rapidly to do much more than make split second "do I need to dodge that one?" calls. There were also some colors that were impossible to distinguish from each other (the purples). The pale magenta (as a square) is visually the same color as the darker purple (as a solid surface).

Not sure rewinding was ever all that helpful to me, but I had troubles with the controls generally, so I can't say for sure.

Developer

Noted. Thanks for your input. I will definitely take all that under consideration.

Love the music and the game is really fun too, I wish I knew how to rewind from the beginning though :D Good job overall!

Developer

Thanks jsokol! Will start working on that tutorial soon.

Fun game with great music! I will admit it took me a little bit to figure out how to use the rewind mechanic but it did save my runs more than once when it did haha Keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for the review Cudzer! What did you think about my twist on the mechanic that not all the enemies were effected by the rewind? I thought it would add a bit of complexity to it. Not sure if that proves true.

Things I liked, I thought the controls were *very* smooth, I liked the feeling of sliding around as  I played. The act of matching the colors to the correct squares was also cool and I really liked the fact that the circle got bigger the longer the game progressed without hitting anything.

Things I didn't like, I think your game would have benefited from some form of tutorial or some way to better have the player learn as they played. Even when I got hit by an obstacle it was hard to tell what happened and whether it was good or bad.

Other than that though, I think you should be very proud of where your game has ended up and I hope to see more games from you in the future.

Wow. I love the effort that you have put into reviewing my game. I had always planned a tutorial, but time didn't permit. You are also not the first to suggest that, so noted as a must have feature moving on. Thank you very much and I am going to follow you. Feel free to do the same.

Nice music and game, but a tutorial on how to use the "reversal" mechanics would be nice :)

Developer

Thanks! Will add that for sure!

Cool concept mate :) Awesome!

Thank you!

Got 1060! Prob it's really bad, but had fun. Good audio and graphics fit. Really good submition :)

Developer

Thanks :) looking forward to it

I enjoyed the game a lot after watching the trailer and seeing how to play

Developer

Thank you for the comment! I plan on having an in game tutorial.... with time slowing down and pointing out the features, but I ran out of time.

Submitted(+1)

Not bad, a simple dodging game with a rewind mechanic. It's simple and fun, without any overly complicated mechanic.

Only problem I can think of is that I rarely use the rewind feature, as this is a very fast paced game, so all of my attention is in dodging/getting the same colour. But all in all, good job!

Developer

Yeah, I also hardly use the rewind mechanic. Thanks for your input!

Very cool game! This would be perfect for phones.

Developer

Thank you! I plan on porting that over, but I still have a lot to work on. Tutorial, achievements etc.

Submitted(+1)

Almost perfect, I just would've liked a tutorial.

But after learning how it works, it became great!

Good job :)

Developer

Thanks for comment. I will put the tutorial in for sure! Just ran out of time.
