In what way does your game fit the theme?
We have a rewind time mechanic which reverses your position, velocity and health to aid you in combat
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes all the code and art assets are made from my buddy and I
Nice platformer, I like the different weapons .. I notice some enemies that goes inside the walls for the rest is a nice game.
Good job.
My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks
Cool art and sounds.
IMO you need to push player to use rewind mechanic more.
But all in all the game is done on solid level.
Really like the look and sound of the game. it would have been good to get feedback when damaging the enemies, like a damage sound or flashing white and same for player too. it felt quite easy fighting the enemies but it was cool game.
great art and character design! I really liked the flow of the gameplay, got me imersed. The only point is the mechanic of the rewind seems to me optional in the game. Maybe if you add more elements that obligates the player to use it, it would be great.
Amazing job!
Graphics and audio are pretty nice, reminds of games I loved playing on Newgrounds, but I think a reticle would be a good to have on screen and i'm sorry to hear your original idea didn't work out , I would've loved to see it, since i didn't find myself using the rewind ability here. But good job all the same :)
Solid game! I like the gameplay and it felt good to kill enemies! I think the main problem is that the game lacks some effects, and also the game should force the player to use the rewind ability. I ended up playing the whole game without knowing about the rewind capabilities!
Other than that, great job!
The graphics are spectacular and the audio not only sounds nice, but also fits in really well. Two big things that can be improved though:
- Effects/Player feedback : Some almost necessary effects were missing. For example, there was no feedback for when I hit enemies, and no explosion or sound when they died. No feedback for when the player takes damage or acquires a pickup. I would like to see more sounds, particles, flashes...
- Rewinding: It was there, but I never used it. It wasn't an important part of game-play, it was more like you made this game and then quickly threw in a rewind mechanic. The rewind could also feel cooler: have the screen overlay something, play a sound...
I think graphics are where this game rocks.
Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah sadly the original concept for the rewind didnt pan out. Only after the submission did a few of my discord buddies mention ways in which you needed to use it based on the environment like a massive jump or something. I agree as well that the sounds for the player and feedback are for sure needed. The pickups did have a sound however perhaps they just blended a bit too much.
There was a rewind function? Didn't realize that. I like the second gun. Art is great. Controls/Speed/Fluidity could be better. I like the intro to scene with the rocket.
Was fun for what it was. I know you added rewind orbs, but they felt kinda useless and thrown in just to match the theme. The animation and graphics were good though.
What. A. Game. This is a straight masterpiece. This game makes you feel like a Rambo man but ginger with an orchid headband. I told my mother about this game and she immediately left my father to move to Korea to play this game on a competitive level. I'm more excited for this games full release than my own wedding. Truly breathtaking .
