Though the rings don't always work, it is really cool especially the little additions to the game.
Thank you so much !! There are some bugs indeed , but in the current version while going to the ring you are not supposed to hold the jump button/down button .i.e. W / S as they cancel the ring state and transfers the state to falling state !!
Fun game! Pretty easy to get the controls down however I think I might have found a bug. On the level where you first encounter something you have to set on fire... The exit door disappears before I can get to it. Not sure if that was intentional or a bug. But up til that point it was quite fun!

Yup ,that was a bug indeed which has been solved along with the other bugs , the beta program is almost finished and just waiting to be uploaded !!
The controls are near perfect, great job! I was stuck on the first monster and switch bit though, I tried to use Q and R to align it with the switch but I didn't manage to make it work :(
Also, the little pause he does after a long fall is pretty cool and adds to the weight, but I found that it is a big disadvantage while near enemies and I end up taking damage for not being able to move.
The game also has a lot of speedrun potential with the wall jump and roll mechanics, however when going up some stairs the character tends to stick to the steps which I found unecessary (but maybe it's useful and I just can't see it cause I suck)
Overall you made this game to be really fun to play, and it has a lot potential, keep it up! :)

I would really want to know what more could be done in your opinion to make the controls feel perfect or maybe more good and fluid.
And that level "Upperside" where you need to align the monster to the switch, sorry about that, that's unfinished, I didn't had much time to finish the level designing as at the very end I was stucked between many unfinished ideas and polishing and level designing.
Yeah the pause after the landing is indeed intentional and is called superhero landing. It takes somr time if you are falling from a much high ground. It's fhe same around enemies so you have to careful.

Nice game, the movements are fluid and I really dig the music. I think the vignette around the character is a little bit too dark. But overall the game feels great. Also I've got an error on entering the level 2. It says:

The monster pushed the switch, the door was open but I didn't found anyway to enter inside as it disappears. And I think i didn't understand so much the control of time as the time automatically slows down.

That level is incomplete... I noticed that after I submitted and the time was over so i was not able to fix that. My apologies on that one.
The slow time effect was intentionally made to indicate the presence of time power in the temple... But due to lack of time it had no reference story to relate the level with it.

Yeah !! I'll make sure to provide the end of the beta program story along with some more abilities and depth in gameplay, after the jam ends. Follow up if you want to be a part of the unofficial PoP 2008 sequal that this project is finally going to be.

Game Design: Overall pretty good. I wasn't really a fan of w being the jump... it make sense but I found the jump mechanics a little bit clunky. I think my main issue was he would always grab onto walls and it would probably be better if holding w grabbed the wall while pressing w jumped. The rewind q/r mechanic was confusing to me. Either it didn't work the way I thought it would or something was off. I couldn't really control when I went into slow time or how to get out of it... much less turn it on and rewind. I'm not sure what the purpose of the mouse was on that one level and I got stuck in one room because I had no idea I was supposed to walk to a specific spot to get to the next level. When you don't have doors you need a way to show that a certain spot will advance to the next room.
Fun: I think fun suffered because I couldn't figure out the controls
Innovation: The concept is neat, like Prince of Persia but it's not in and of itself innovative
Theme: I think we hit the theme here but like I said I couldn't really figure out the rewind
Graphics: Graphics were great!
Audio: The bell is too loud, like turn that down 75%. The music was okay but seemed too tech for an Arabic feeling game.

controlling the character is fluid. to me, the music was kinda off, somehow it didn't fit the dark atmoshpere. rewind mechanic reminded me about prince of persia series.

The time rewind mechanic is indeed inspired from Prince of Persia, and also this game was intentionally made to be an unofficial PoP 2008 sequal. I would really like to see your views on the updated version and hope that also make you feel the game like PoP.

Cool wall jump and slide, I love it, it's fluid. The lightning is also nice, but you should have done fullscreen; it's just by using window_set_fullscreen() function (don't know if it exists also in Game Maker 2). I'm stuck after the disappearing of a gate where you use the ennemy. The music is too ANNOYING and a simple music can make a game good or ruin it; I literally desactivated it and started this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xLjL_-esEU. However the coolest thing about the game is that is a tribute to Prince of Persia 2008, which is the most underrated game I've ever played. It has a nice graphics, cool architechture and level design but not done for hardcore players, it's just as poetic as Ico, and unfortunately it was released in the same time of Assassin's Creed, so it didn't get so much promotion... Nice game, develop yourserlf in programming platformers!
Thank you so much !! That means a lot !! I was waiting for someome to notice the reference of the Prince of Persia 2008, that game is a masterpiece even now. Ever since I got the REWIND theme, it was on my mind to make an unofficial pop version. Although there were so many ideas on my mind that i planned to make it a bit more like pop 2008, but due to many bugs , I dropped several ideas and decided to add them later. That's why the game is unplayable after Upper Side level, ( Iforgot to add level change object, my bad about poor level design, apologies ) .
I do make sure to take care of the full-screen.
And sorry for unrelevant music, i didn't have any choice at that time and was unsure that would it be nice to add POP 2008 music, as ubisoft would have some copyright issue .

The platforming and character control was done very well. I also liked the music and sound design of enemies. The issues I found was that when time was slowed down my character was jumping way lower and i couldn't progress in an area where a monster activated a switch.
Thank u so much that you enjoyed the game !! I spent a lot of time making the platforming feel good. And for the jumping controls were intentionally lowered as the time is slowing down some of the abilities . Well my apologies for the bad level design on this one , I got less time to do so, and thats why that monster activated the switch door but i forgot to put the next room control there !!

Really nice game, great job! The time reversal mechanic works great, but unfortunately I never felt like I really needed it. It's seem like it's more of an add-on right now, while it would be nice if it was more deeply integrated within the game. Still, well done!
P.S. I got stuck after activating the button/switch. The yellow gate thing disappeared but I was not able to continue from there?
Thankyou so much!! And for the level design on the yellow gate , I'm sorry for that!! Actully I really messed up with the level design at the very end moment! And also there would be some doors that required the time control and rewind mechanism, like you have done in your game. The game needed some polishing, but I ran out of time as I was making the player movement to have momentum.

The invisible jump top left in the first area was very difficult, but the controls of the character felt great! 💪
