In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to eat fish but you have to split the swarms up because they are STRONGER TOGETHER

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
the base of my flocking algorithm is from this guy --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjKINQigAE4. The rest I did completely on my own from scratch. (Font is in public domain)

Nice game, good job!

I like the game, the graphics are cool, well done!

Great art! Both the UI and the assets look nice and the fish algorithm feels good. I didn't really get how it fits the theme and missed audio. Otherwise it was great. :D

Developer

Thanks! The Idea is that you have to eat the fish when they're alone, becouse when they are in a swarm, they will attack you together and probably attack you. It kinda a reverse take on the theme

Submitted(+1)

A lot of fun! I really liked the way you thought of the Stronger Together as from the perspective of the enemy, I didn't even consider that! And I bet the swarming was really neat to code.

Oh I LOVE the concept is a fantastic idea for a game. I liked the aesthetics and the shark move (despite some glitches I encountered). Really nice job mate, congratulations.

Great 3D art! Cool gameplay, and awesome effects! Like my game, your game is also sorely missing music haha, we're in the same boat haha. On that note, I'd love if you tried my submission as well, and maybe leave a rating?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Btw the art isn't 3D it's simply polyart

Great game and great theme implementation! I love it. Some sound effects would have been a really nice addition. One other very small thing, it was a bit hard the get a feeling of the swimming motion, maybe you could make it so that the background / water is not moving with the camera?

Developer

As I said that's something I'm going to implement as soon as the jam ends. Thanks for your review

The Game was fun.... I enjoyed the art, the game was difficult for me highest time I was alive for was 1 minute........  If there was any sound effect and music the game would have been 200% better game..

Submitted

Well done! This is kind of the reverse of my game :P

Developer(+1)

Played it and it was fun. would have been great if you could have finished it

I loved the simplistic art style, it was a pleasure to play! Coding this up must have been challenging, so kudos to you! I had a fun time playing this!

Loved this, awesome visuals. Super simple, but very well implemented. Some SFX woud have been nice, but overall really good.

Nice game! And a quite interesting implementation of the theme. Used the theme from the players point of view and not "the enemy". I can agree with some of the feedback but I enjoyed playing it multiple times. I like the little touch with the bite effect of the other fishes. It explained me visually why I was loosing more health. Well done 😊

This is a really cool game! The gameplay is really creative and the graphics are really well done. Everything fits together nicely. The only other feedback I have is that the camera sometimes doesn't sync up with the fish's movements, which makes the fish look jittery, which can kind of hurt your eyes if you stare at it for too long, and that it would be nice if the background moved with the fish, as it would make the movement feel more responsive.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I havent encountered this issue yet but I think this is because this game isn't well optimized, so it runs not so well on weaker machines

lol sry for typos

Love the controls, the implementation is original. Colors are refreshing.

Nice Game!

Check out if you like, we both share the Ocean Theme!... https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/923455

Thanks!

I like the idea and implementation. It is not immediately clear that the shark is moving. At first I thought she was just turning around. And it's a little more difficult for a beginner, the game can somehow work with the complexity. Can give more health in the beginning, for example.

Developer

Thanks for your your feedback! I will do a pach as soon voting period is finished. I don't think it's allowed to change the game after submission ends

I really like the art style! Cool game :)

I like the graphics and idea. But it seemed a little laggy in the browser and because of the background moving with you I it first didn't notice I even moved. It's a cool concept though

Developer

thanks. it' probably beacause of the flocking algorithm. it's quiet CPU intensive and I haven't had the time to do multithreading yet, so it's gpoing to lag a bit on weaker machines. Thanks for the review!

Submitted

A unique idea for me so far. I wish it would zoom the camera out more though and perhaps have the background not move with the shark so much as to create a sense of speed.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I had a different backround, that I basically copied from brackeys shugar warrior first but I changed all my graphics and could figure out how to do it in time. if there will be any updates, that's something i would definetly do

Submitted

Most unique concept I have come across so far!

Developer

Thank you! I just got into flocking  when I noticed that the brackeys jam was running

Submitted

The flocking was really cool. I like how you used it in that different way than regular flocking uses.
