My whole crew keep dying whenever I send them out, but I keep doing it. Love the aesthetic, the art is simple but flows well together, and it reminds me of old-school games like Oregon road but with a modern twist. Somewhat loose thematic fit, but otherwise great game, definitely one of my favourites!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
In this game you have to move forward with your fellow camp members. You can send them to expeditions to earn valuables. You'll have to decide whether you group them to increase their chances of survival or whether you send many small groups in order to earn more resources at the same time.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Art, Music, Code is all from scratch. However we used our own kickstart project (boilerplate)

I'm kind of in lost of words to be honest.
This is by far my favorite game in the jam. One of my favorite online video games ever.
I've got huge Homm3 vibes, From the music, to the layout. This is brilliant.
I loved the fact that every playthrough is different, the random encounters, the faith system, everything.
I did get a bug in a middle of a run which caused me to restart, tho I can't really understand what happened so I can't give you enough information. I only know that the game froze and the screen went a bit darker. I couldn't press anything. I think it was after I sent some folk to an expedition.
I will say, some quality of life stuff that the man below suggested will make it easier to get into.
I almost forgot to praise the music and graphics!!!
Props to you, I take my hat off. This is impressive.
Astonishingly good graphics and music. Created a perfect atmosphere. I never play this kind of game before but got my first try here.
For the gameplay, there's a lack of transparency in sending people out. Maybe show the death rate or success rate before expeditions. I'm not sure about the mechanic tho. But send out people just by guessing don't feel right to me.
Also, sometimes the map is not fair. Some resources have only one and it's at the corner. I sent half of my people but turned out they all died.
One question I may want to ask is that do I need all my people back when the enemies come? If yes, I may need to track the date when they come back.
I know it was a tight schedule. I didn't expect some team can create this kind of game. So, awesome job!
Please also check out our game if you didn't :)
I have certain complains about the game, it can be unfair certain times, making it a really difficult game, yet unfun because how can you prepare for the loss of you entire men when you send all of them in an expedition, all of them died in the same expedition. I didn't see any use for the faith, I had 1200 of it, it was kinda worthless I cannot feed my man with faith, you can add a game mechanic in which you can transform faith into miracles and have for example: the miracle of rain and collect it for water or have the enemies get lost in a desert stom that you summoned with your miracles, and so you use it to wait for your men to come back from an expedition.
The game has extremely really good visuals, and narrative and is quite polished but I can see that it could improve into a fully fledged game, It really has huge potential to being better, hope that you could fix the unfairnes of events, to make it fun, but overall I really liked the game.
This is a solid game - well thought out, well put together, the works! It's a little hard to get to grips with, since virtually nothing about the mechanics are explained to you (presumably a time-related issue), but once I got the hang of it I... died, instantly. Turns out I'm not very good at this game - but I liked it a lot! Positive ratings all round from me :D
Hands down the most unique game of the jam (from the games I've played). Amazing pixel art. Only thing I would change is the tutorial but after playing the game one time you understand the mechanics yourself. My second playthrough was better. Good job, get it further!
This is one of the most polished and good games I played. This reminds me of old games I used to play. I don't really play this types of games now but this one was really good. First things is that I loved the art. The characters looked so good and everything was nice It had a really calming atmosphere and I loved this. I like everything about this game and I don't know what cons to say about it. It is a great strategic game and I enjoyed it a lot. You did an amazing job this is a 10/10. Good job!
It was really cool ^^ Actually the depth of the game surprised me :D I definitely get back to it and try hard a bit ^^ And iit's really cool to have multiple language ^^
I had a small bug however, your sound options didn't work. If you are using unity I possibly know a fix. If you are using Brackeys' script to deal with your audio, you need to add an option to select the Mixer for each sound otherwise it won't be using your mixer and won't be affected by any change of volume. I hope it was helpfull even though it's a longshot :)
This was a good one! I liked the depth of the game very much. I'm even a little sad that people in the jam won't even play it at that length. But the core ideas of the game seem very unique management sim where you are constantly running from impending doom. An artistic masterpiece. I really liked the aesthetics of the game.
I love the art, sound and aesthetic of this game. The gameplay and mechanics are unique and interesting (at least to me).
I played the web version, so I don’t know if the desktop version has the same problems but this is what I found:
- Text can be hard to read because of the slight shading/aliasing effect, which causes it to seem blurred
- Gameplay ideas aren’t always clearly explained, adding tooltips to certain features could give some information. For example, I didn’t know that migration would impact my expeditions.
- Sometimes the same follower is generated twice
I'm shocked that this was done just in one week! This was really fun to play. For feedback i would say, that text is a bit blurry.
