Ranked from 43 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
Not only do player bullets hurt the player, but after 20 seconds, all bullets swarm after the player until 10 seconds are up. This creates for some chaotic situations!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code was written by one member of our team and the graphics were made by the other! However, the music used in "Robot Escape" was taken from an asset pack who we credited in our game's description.

nice art style :)

Overall very creative. Chaotic to the core, and brings news ideas to the table, on even very simple concepts. Quite enjoyed!

Awesome game, really chaotic.

Was definitely surprised when my own bullets were targeting me

amazing game! super fun to play! Love the art, music and game mechanics. I would try to “speed things up” a little bit so the player and everything else moves just a little bit more faster, but overall it was amazing!

The pixel art is so cool! I like how the bullets keep bouncing, it makes the game more chaotic. I really enjoyed playing! Great job! :D

So chaotic. Amazing.

Actually chaotic! Great idea :)

It would feel a bit better If movement was just a little faster

Good job!

Thank you! I will definitely be updating the game post jam with some much needed improvements, faster movement being one of them!

That was an interesting concept bro! Video Review: 00:30 Robot Escape

Thanks so much for playing and recording your reaction! Honestly, it's very nice to see how someone actually plays your game so you know what adjustments are needed to be made. One thing I want to say though.. that bug with the health bar your ran into was because I forgot to make the slider I used in Unity not interactable!  A simple error!

Submitted

haha no worries! I have enough bugs in my game as well! Gamejam games it is more than acceptable

Good job, I liked the art. The sounds fit nicely. Good job.

Developer

Thank you! This was our artist's first ever outing as a pixel artist!

Cool game, but the movement was annoyingly slow. I'm guessing you didn't mean for this, but it was otherwise enjoyable.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I plan on updating the game post jam to include some much needed improvements, movement speed being one of them!

For a two people effort, this was great!
There was quite a lot of content, the game had a nice idea, and the game even had some dialogue, which's impressive for a jam game. The arts not bad at all either!
Some issues would be how impossible the bullets are to dodge once they head towards you. And in some rooms, these bullets basically one shot you, which's brutal. I also think the game should have had a bit faster movement.
I think the best thing about this game is the interesting enemy variety. This is something jam games seem to not have a lot of, and I'm glad this one does nicely.
Keep on fighting! :)

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and suggestions! I wish I would've given the player some movement option to use during the bullet swarm, but for some odd reason, I didn't think about it.

Super cool game and cool graphics! Need more polishing the script and game balancing but still a good game overall!

Also I would love to hear your thought and rating on my game if you interested, please give it a try!

Thank you for the kind words!

Pretty cool! A lot of interesting ideas. It is very satisfying being able to direct bullets at enemies once they start homing in on you.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

The idea is kinda interesting, but the balance feels very off. Once the bullets start following you, there is almost nothing you can do (only sit somewhere safe and hide, which is rarely possible and not really fun). And as there is no way to destroy bullets (most of which are being fired from your enemies), the game punishes you for just existing (even if you don't miss any of your shots and move as fast as possible). I'd suggest decreasing the number of enemies that shoot stuff at you and adding more ways for enemies to dodge your bullets (or just move fast enough), so that bullets you've missed actually punish you afterwards.

Developer

Thank you, FreezedIce, for your feedback! I agree that the game was way too difficult (which lead to it being a chore to play at times) and that the player should have more options during the bullet swarm. Believe it or not, the game was actually much more difficult when we first playtest it, and our primary struggle was to bring the difficulty down. I wish I had thought of giving the player more options and variety!
