I think the concept is fairly novel and the potential to be super interesting if expanded upon. I can see adding all sort of other minions in there to create a whole diversity of creatures with differing AI creating emergent behaviors that create a lot of chaos.

That was a fun arcade shooter. I at first started shooting the eggs instead of collecting them, but that was me just not reading lol. The art style was great and the feedback loop of just trying to beat your last score as the difficulty ramps up is very satisfying. Great work.

Nice game! I liked the mechanic and how the complexity of dodging, shooting, and collecting eggs increases. I liked the graphics and animations, I think the floating particles give the game a nice desert ambient touch. Good work!

It's a good looking game, I was inspired of a desert spirit. At first it was pretty easy but I suddenly caught one spike and died. Ooops, okay one more try. This time I was able to collect 40 runes and there was complete madness on the screen at the time. The game is fun to play and I also find something similar to the idea of my own game, though very different realization and it's great! Good job!

Haha, glad to help. That is on how to get the low-res effect. If you mean that little grain/static/noise effect then it's "Distortion" post processing effect

I love the graphical style and music. How did you achieve this unique look?

The gameplay loop is simple and intuitive, but clever, and increasingly chaotic with each passing second. It was challenging and I had fun.

I think this is an excellent solo entry, and the best example of Game Design that I've rated thus far.

The pixelated look is actually quite easy to achieve. You need to (in Unity ofc):
- Create a Render Texture.
- Set it to your desired resolution and set Filter Mode to "Point" 
- Set it as your Main Camera's output texture.
- Create a second Camera that only renders the Render Texture as a Raw Image UI Element covering the whole screen.

I do really like how it turned out. I plan to use it more in my future projects.

Very nice attempt. I really loved the artstyle and the controls. The attack cooldown was a bit high, but I supose that you didnt had much time for tweaks. Also I would like to see a progress mechanic, like gathering eggs gives you cooldown reduction or something like that. Overall I had a very good experience and it was fun :)

Thank you! The attack cooldown is there to balance out the early game. Adding upgrades that you get for eggs (like shorter attack cooldown) is definetly something I would add having more time.

The style of your game is very cool, the pixelated effect is quite interesting and is reminiscent of older consoles and games. The difficulty didn’t seem to increase that much, so it didn’t feel very challenging after a while, so maybe increasing the rate at which enemies fire or how many projectiles they fire might help. While I like the idea of managing cooldowns, I think they were slightly too long in this case, 3 seconds between attacks is a long time, but I overall I quite liked it, good job!

The game starts out slow but it gets very difficult after around 1-2min depending on how well you collect eggs. The attack CD is mostly due to balance concerns, so that the player cannot just run up to and immediately kill every enraged enemy and must let them multiply.
