In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to destroy all huts to face the boss. The catch is that a destroyed hut will turn into a spawner. "Let there be chaos" implies that you are in control of the chaos, in which this game satisfies

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Code and art are made by me during the jam, while fonts are downloaded from dafont.com. - Cheese Butter Cream by Kurnia Setyadi

Cool polished game with nice yellowy art style, good job :)

Developer

Thanks!

Ah really cool game! There was a solid beginning, middle, and end. Art was good and power-ups were fun. I'd say this is a start to something that could be a potential release so nice work.

Some feedback I'd give is to not make there be so much waiting between when I activate an ability and when I can start moving again. I saw around a second delay at some points which was no bueno when I'm trying to do crowd control but all of a sudden I can't move anymore. I'd also say to remap those abilities to something like WASD instead since my fingers naturally go there.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I would definitely do some balancing and custom key bindings if it were to be a full game.

Good looking game! I liked the little animations. Thought I was wearing an invisibility cloak at first but eventually saw the player in the other version :D Nice mechanics too! Congrats on the submission :)

Developer

Thank you!

I like the hut destroying mechanic and it works well with the theme. Sadly I cannot use any skills and the game gets quite laggy after a while.

Developer

Thanks! And yeah, lag is a big issue and I am not didn't have time to fix it XD

I dont know why but the character is invisible. It became visible after I destroyed the first hut (i think). Love the art. Some music owuld be nice. Game has a lot of potential. gives off a fancy pants vibe ngl. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! I sort of didn't have time for audio (12 seconds before deadline lmao). And the invisible player thing was a bug, which I fixed in the fixed version (Not supposed to be rated based on the fixed version). Thanks for playing!

This game as a lot of potential, I like the idea of getting different abilities but at some point even those feel powerless and I don't think it's a good thing this is my only complain , I very much liked it, played it more then other games and the art looks so polised.

But at the end I have to consider that I played the fixed version so be carefull next time and plan out to finish at least a day before the dead like for some play testing, I also have a bug in my game but I don't feel like it would be fair to the other partecipants to release a fixed version during the jam!

Also I'll check this out again when you'll add music and sounds to it ahah, check out my game too!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! My hope was that players would play the jam version, then rate, then they can check out the fixed version. I will definitely consider about the scope for my next game, thanks again!

I'm not really sure why, but I could not see the main character. It was very difficult to play because of that. I also had gotten 2 of the same upgrades and they didn't show up correctly (they both did work though). Upon losing and starting again, I still had my upgrades. Overall, I like the concept and always love these style of games. Great job, I'll try and come back in the future to try again.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The invisible player thing was a bug, but I'm glad that you still get to enjoy it! Here's the fixed version if you want to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

I think this game has a lot of heart! I really enjoyed it and thought it was fun. Love being able to acquire skills as you keep playing, keeps it fresh. Really solid entry!

It's a shame about the build that made it into the jam, 12 seconds before the deadline!? Jesus. You beat my team's record time. Our build had issues when we uploaded it as well.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah... I ran out of time to solve the issues and just went with it, my heart was pounding when I submitted it. Glad you liked it!

Cool game! It really sucks that the jam version doesn't display the player. I played and completed the fixed game and it's really fun. Sadly I will be rating based off the jam version. Oh and a question, do you have an enemy cap for your game? Because in my first playthrough where I admittedly didn't really attack much it slowed down really bad. Maybe consider adding those if you haven't or reducing the cap a bit if you have? Maybe I just had a bad PC idk. Really fun game tho!

Developer

Thanks for the review! Yeah... Kinda didn't have time to fix the player bug in time. And no, there is no enemy cap, but that is probably a good idea considering a lot of enemies are going to spawn, I'll keep that in mind for my next games! Thanks again!

At first I got really confused and it required some time for me to actually understand what I’m supposed to do. But then I finally figured out that the player is invisible, so it was hard controlling the character but because the camera movement was static and fixed to the player I was able to still play and destroy 4 huts. Despite that I can see that there was a lot of effort put into the game, in terms of design and art. Well done!

Developer

Thanks! The invisible player thing was a bug, but I'm glad that you still get to enjoy it! Here's the fixed version if you want to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

Cool game! Would be nice to see a player, but maybe that was intentional. If it was, it was a definitely a unique concept. Good work :)

Developer

LMAO, the invisible player was my bad, it was not intentional at all. Here's the fixed version if you'd like to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

Really nice concept!

We liked the art and the soundeffects. Nevertheless, we were quite confused at the start, since we couldnt see the Maincharacter. At some point there were just too many enemies, so we couldnt make it to the boss. We loved the idea of getting upgrades from time to time. With some polish, this game has a lot of potential!

Developer

Thanks! tho, I didn't make any sound effects... And the player being invisible was my bad... Here's the fixed version if you'd like to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

I could not see the player so it was really confusing when i started. I have no idea what happened but like a hundred of the enemies were spawning and it was beginning to kill my device. However the art, concept and the player abilities were really nice. Well done.

Developer

The invisible player was my bad... The lag will always happen tho XD. Here's the fixed version if you'd like to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

I could not see the player and nothing spawned. I assume enemies should spawn and you should attack them, but nothing happened.

Developer

Enemies spawn once you destroy the huts. The invisible player was my bad... Here's the fixed version if you'd like to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

The art is very good...

The player is invisible (I'm sure that's not part of the game XD), but I can see the concept here, it seems to be an awesome game once it's completed, you just need to finish it. Good Luck!

Developer

Got it! Thanks for the review! Here's the fixed version of the game if you'd like to play it :D -> https://no-whone.itch.io/the-little-spirit-of-chaos-fixed

The invisible was my bad... I worked so hard on the animations but it turned out that the shader I used was incompatible for the web. XD
