Great game 馃憤

Very cool! I did a speedrun and I completed it in one minute! The jump and boxes felt a little floaty though.

Submitted

Great concept. Ghosts were a real fun asset to this theme.

Very well done! cant wait to see more of this game :)

Developer

thanks so much! I'm really surprised and grateful to hear that many people have received the game so well. Your comment and the others have inspired me to make this a full game and I can't wait to get started!

Submitted

thats great to hear! if you wouldnt mind i would be thankful as well if you could try out my game too :)

I had fun playing it despite the physics feeling a little janky. The levels in my opinion were too short and too easy, I finished the game really quickly and would like to see some new levels.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback. I'm definitely going to work on both the physics and adding more levels as well as a host of other features to turn this into a fully-fledged game. I actually already have a few new levels but I'm not going to mess with my submission now and come back to it once rating is done :) Thanks again.

Nice game :) I pushed one of the boxes too far to the left side of the screen and it wasn't possible to get it out of there, I had to reload. But overall it's a pleasant short game:)

Developer

thank you for playing it! Adding a 'reload' button is such a simple thing that I need to do asap. I think when you have these physics puzzles players will always find a way to trap themselves or do unexpected things (though I probably should have tested this a bit more!). Some of the colliders might also need a bit of polishing to ensure this doesnt happen! I appreciate your feedback! Will be blowing this game up to many more levels soon.

Great game, all together it's quite addicting. I could probably play it for hours as it is! It's great if you plan to expand it.

The only issue I had was the platforms height which feels too high compared to jump height.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I will look into that. In testing it I did find that at some points it could be tricky and require you to master the jump, but this is not what is supposed to make the game challenging so I will improve it. I am definitely going to expand this and would like to have at least 50 levels eventually :D

I Like the idea. But the ghost does nothing. Also, I keep sticking on the side of the platform, adding a physics material on your player and setting friction to 0 will fix it.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! The ghosts aren't real but I'm working on a mechanic for them. I also have a 0 fiction material in place but for some reason it is not working. I need some time to work out what's going on there. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Pretty nice game, I liked the SFX and the it was pretty fun. I think it would be really nice if the ghosts were more involved in the game, as right now they don't really do anything. You did say you were going to expand this game though, so I can't wait to see what's to come!

Submitted

nice, I suppose the ghosts need to kill me? if so, you might want to code that in. keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

cute game! Just one minor idea.. wouldn't it be cool if you can use more on the ghost than rely on the box and platfomers to turn on the light? So like you need to make the ghost vanish but also utilize them before they vanish.

Developer

ha! Without giving too much away here, there is actually a bug where you can use a ghost to flip a light switch. Its one of those things that I might call a 'feature' xD I like your idea and will add it to my idea board for this games full project. Thank you for playing and thank you for the comment and suggestion - I really appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

Game and level design were both great, I believe this game has sooo much potential if you continue to develop it! Though the bug of getting stuck on the side of a object is quite annoying! I really love this game and even though I have already played it, I played it again before rating it!

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing it! Sorry about the pesky bug. Seems it doesnt have an easy solution as the physics material that was working, is no longer working :S I do definitely intend to keep working on this game. I already have another level added with 3 of the big blocks and I also believe that this one has a lot of potential!

Submitted(+1)

Huh that is weird...Unity physics are just wacky sometimes. I will also be continuing to work on my game, I am very excited to see where you take this game!

Submitted(+1)

Thank you for the follow!

The game felt super nice loved running around and the puzzles were super fun!! Also great work with audio, really made the experience!

Developer(+1)

thanks so much. I always feel a strange sense of time pressure when I have lots of coding to do, but I still really need to find that perfect piece of music (ideally for free lol) to go with it. I had about 5 pieces but I think the one I chose works well with the atmosphere Im trying to create. Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback! I will return the favour.

Submitted(+1)

I agree! I think the song you picked fit super well, your time searching really paid off! And thanks so much I appreciate that!!

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed this. Something about turning lights on is satisfying. Lowering the platforms might make the game more fluid.

Developer

lowering the platforms as in automatically once the lights are on? sounds like a nice idea!

Submitted

I like the concept for the game and the protagonist looks really cute ^^. The jump needs more polishing, but overall it serves its purpose as a prototype! Good job!

Developer

Thank you, yes the jump needs a better feel. One thing I forgot to mention in the rating/feedback I gave your game though, was that I loved that sort of 'TV' graphic style that youve incorporated. How do you even do that? Would love to look at adding something similair to mine and pretty sure its not a standard post-processing thing (though to be honest Im not sure!)

Submitted(+1)

It's Unity's standard post-processing volume! A little bit of grain, chromatic aberration, and some bloom with dirt does the trick :))

Submitted

Cool game ! I like the atmosphere !

The cuter version of people running towards the upstairs light after closing the lights downstairs :)

Developer

Heavily inspired by Creaks and Little Nightmares :)

Submitted(+1)

Love the concept, also love that I can stand on the ghosts. Would like to see a more cohesive art style.

Developer

thank you. I'm trying to find an artist that I can collaborate with on turning this into a fully-fledged game, as art is sadly definitely not my thing. Im also only average at coding xD But I do love games and the process of creating them. Thank you for playing and for your feedback :)

Submitted(+1)

Yeah art was definitely the most time-consuming for me, it's hard to do everything in 7 days! So I based my game around very simple geometric shapes hahah. I am a self-taught artist (beginner though), let me know if I can help :)

Submitted(+1)

the audio gives me chills, nice Job!, also if you can please add cayote jump, I know this isn't precision platformer, but it kinda make it feel unresponsive when there's no cayote time in a platformer game. overall, a really nice fitting entry for the jam!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the concept of catching ghost with lights! Though ghosts are not really harmful to player and the player can just ignore the ghosts and turn up the lights to proceed. I would suggest adding more type of lights and ghosts to make the puzzle element more interesting. Nice work :)

Developer

Thanks - yes, I think there is going to be a win condition that all the ghosts have to be gone before you can proceed to the next round, and potentially use the blocks to move them into the right spots. Someone else also suggested restarting the level if you hit any ghosts which I think is a great idea. Lots to implement. Will be busy for a while on this project :)
