Really had some fun with this one. I really liked the idea of losing your abilities the more you play.

Submitted

I really got lost in that one. Very nice to play.

Developer

Thank you so much!

...back to throwing IDs...

Really snappy controls, also, did you make this from scratch, quite impressive character model.

Developer

Thank you for the reply. Sadly I did not have time to change up the roboter model.

I added him day one from a free download so I had something nice to look at while working on the game (biggest tip I learned this game jam! if you have fun with the models early on it adds so much motivation to create something nice yourself)

But I will definetly create a custom model for the little guy once I got back a few days worth of sleep :D

This one is very pleasing both to the eyes and the mind, I really like the idea of a reverse-Metroidvania and it feels right in so many ways to play!

Really a nice game. One of my favorites. The graphics are nice and fits well with the sound. everything cill and relaxing. I like that you loose abilitys and are forced to take new routes evh time. But a bit more feedback on which abilitys you loose could be better. And also a coin counter during the game would be nice.
I also like the build in tutorial.

Congrats on this nice entry!

Developer

thank you so much!

I totally agree. I think I have to add more things in the beginning so you don't run through half the level without realizing what you actually lost.

thank you very much for the feedback <3

Graphics was nice and loved the little story. Music really put it all together to make it feel relaxing. Great game!

A very good game, everything I've said about it on stream rings true, I'm in love with your art/graphics style, the relaxing game play and amazing music! Congrats on a very good game!

Very cool graphics and fluent gameplay, great job!

good game !

Beautiful art, very enjoyable gameplay, well done, guys! It was really really nice playing this game! <3

we had a similar direction for the jam. Feels like this is a brother from our robot :)

Developer

I will make sure to check it out tomorrow. it already looks stunning!

This is the graphics I really dream to create in platformer games but I'm still trying to learn Unreal hahahaha. Going to the game, this is really a good one. I really love how it is designed to limit the abilities of the player but can explore the world further. The audio is so calm and I love it :) Awesome game good job!

Additional is that, good to see an Unreal engine game with <1Gb hahaha Played some simple games with 20Gb before and I believe due to heavy resources used. Kudos to keeping it small :)

Developer(+1)

thank you for the comment :)

yes unreal can be a beast when it comes to filesize and performance. so thanks for giving it a try!

If you feel comfortable with unity and c# or something similar you should definetly give unreal a try when you have to time to. It's fun to prototype in.

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, currently studying C++ and Blueprints at the same time since I am somehow comfortable with Unity already.  I can see that you used Blueprints so maybe I'll go with a non-programming approach first hahaha. Again, awesome game!

I'll leave another comment just to say : guys, download this game, it's beautiful ! Definitely deserve it although it's not playable in the browser !

Developer(+1)

wow thank you so much for the kind words!

I will make sure to have a look at your game as well tomorrow when I got some more time :)

Submitted(+1)

The graphics are gorgeous and the robot feels really good to control. Losing abilities instead of gaining some is a very creative idea I’ve never seen before. Great work!

Developer

I'm happy you liked it. Thank you for taking the time to download!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, I just love your game ! Such beautiful graphics, music, animations... I love the fact that you loose abilities, it's not very common in platformers. The last level was really difficult ah ah. Great game ! Congratulations !

Developer(+1)

thank you very much. yes I thought it was a great fit for a short jam because the difficulty increases by itself so I could spend a bit more time on polishing some things.

I agree the last run can be a bit frustrating if you didnt remember the map very well hehe

Submitted(+1)

So beautiful! We can make an animated movie with this kindof story!! I loved it. The music fits in so well. So sad that not many people played it...

Developer

thank you so much!

I'm not blaming people for not wanting to download though. playing in the browser is so much easier haha :D

Submitted(+1)

Yeah! And some people get scared of that virus notification popup because of Windows Defender!!

Developer

yes! I'm new to unreal so I have no idea if that is something I can fix or not : /

Submitted(+1)

Great game, it has the best graphics of anything ive played so far. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much this means a lot to me!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

This is truly a beautiful game. The music fits greatly with the graphics. A really good game made with a a time window of only one week. Did you use Blueprints or did you code in Unreal?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words!

I didn't write a single line of code for this game. It's all blueprints.

I was sceptical about unreal and blueprints in the past but I am SO glad I tried it. It is the perfect thing for prototyping stuff which again is a perfect fit for game jams.

Submitted(+1)

Ok thank you. I'm getting into game development now and I don't really knew what to use so I made the game with unity. But now I will most definitely try out Unreal with blueprints.

Developer(+1)

I would suggest you spend as much time in unity as you need to feel comfortable with c#. once you got that blueprints should be absolutely no problem for you.

Without my experience in Unity I think I would not have enjoyed Unreal at all.

Thanks a lot
