Congratulations!

really great atmosphere. a bit too spooky for me but that shows that you did it right haha

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1418426 thank you

One of my favorite gaming memories is driving my submarine down a trench in subnautica and then farming resources down there.

this game hit exactly that spot for me. once I got used to the controls the fish weren't that dangerous anymore :) really nice experience.

I would love to see it turned into a full game one day!

This is a really interesting concept. the first few runs I got a bit impatient and did not inspect the scene long enough to find the bot. I feel like the music is a bit too active so I feel pressured a bit. But that might just be me haha

I had a lot of fun. its really rewarding to find the bot without losing a live!

I love the interactive tutorial and the way you implement new mechanics and explain them to the user. this is the best way to to id in my opinion. very well done I enjoyed the puzzles a lot

I wasn't 100% sure what to do but I had fun boxing some capsules. nice way to let out all the anger we all got towards quaternions haha :)

very intuitive game. Glad someone went with the birds as a theme :D

I played for quite some and I would have liked the levels to be a little bit longer but thats not a big deal. I really enjoyed it a lot :)

I love idle clicker  so this game was a lot of fun for me. I can see more options being added after the jam for sure.

the visuals were great! great job

I really like the idea. the horizontal movement was a bit too fast for me and the vertical falling speed was a bit to slow sometimes so dashing was the only way to dodge which made me then fall down a pit.

I feel after some movement improvements I could play this for quite some time :) very well done

I got lost a tiny but but that's probably on me.

really like the style :)

I want to keep working on my game so feedback is highly apreciated :)

since I plan on working on the project even after the jam is over to maybe reach a full title I would love some feedback!

I really love the simplistic gameboy design. big fan!

the jumps where a bit too unforgiving for my liking but maybe that was your vision.

over all really cute game! well done

This was harder than I expected. But it hit the small edge of not being too hard so I kept trying and trying. very nicely balanced.

I really love the idea of being able to "preview" the level once the lava got you!

This is definitely NOT happy wheels!

But its just as fun! you captured the wobbly controls and physics very well :) good job

I am not sure if I missed something but after talking to owly I felt like there was nothing to do.

no matter if that was intended or due to time constraints I still had fun.

The models are really well done and the atmosphere in the tree stump was very cozy!

hmm the enemies seem to teleport whenever I do something. It was a bit challenging to figure out what is going on. But I really liked the music and the whirlwind attack :)

I couldn't find out how to drink and somehow managed to lose my weapon in a little puddle haha.

I managed to stay alive for 2,5 minutes but I'll try again now that I read a few comments and know what to look for

its a nice relaxing experience after all the hectic and scary games I just played :)

perfect little time waster :D short and fun

oh I just saw that you did the art yourself as well. for some reason I got you mixed up with another entry I played before where they used an asset set. which only shows how good your art is. everything felt like it fit together perfectly!

I really love the clean pixelart!

thank you so much for the kind words.

I agree Oathr did an awesome job on the music. He really captured the atmosphere.

If you feel like it you can check out his Soundcloud. He has done tons of tracks for gamejams.

I really hope you dont take this the wrong way... I did not like that at all!!! haha

It's incredible how many devs on here managed to get me to play a genre that I don't enjoy.

The nice retro look got my attention first and then when I felt like I needed fresh pants already (the first time I heard... them) I saw a glow in the distance.

I wanted to quit but I also had to find out if I could get there.

I'm sure you spent a lot of time designing your game and you did a really great job but I can proudly tell you that your game can be finished by just running, keeping one eye closed and quietly saying "no no no no no no please leave me alone"

I agree on the chromatic aberration. I always love that effect.

The art was really nice in general :)

funny concept. I could imagine that this would work great on tablets or other touch screen devices. maybe even as a learning game for kids

This was so much fun.

I love stealth games and this one did so much right. I really enjoyed the interactive tutorial. I enjoy learning about controls this way the most.

I think I played it a bit too save. I ran out of energy a few times haha. if you continue working on the game maybe checkpoints could help. or difficulty settings for more energy.

But thats after-jam-stuff :D

very well done!

Wow! What a beautiful game!

You got me the second I saw the games profile picture and the music made just even better!

Controls are on point. I can imagine some think its too floaty but I like it way more than when a game is too fast. Thanks for having us old people in mind :P

The theme is very well done and little details like the bird make it look even more polished.

very well done!

This was SO funny.

I was a bit confused in the beginning but after one or two clips I loved every minute of it.

Now let me sell that golden banana real quick WEE WEE WEE WEE :D

(1 edit)

Once I got a hang of the controls I had a lot of fun just flying around :D

It took some time to be honest but I love everything that can fly so I guess thats a plus.

That's it. you got a follow.

That is a really great design idea. Please let me know when you got something like that up and running and I'll definetly give you feedback on it!

I will have a look later :)

Really great job on creating that atmosphere. It's crazy what well placed lights do to our mind

Thank you so much for providing gameplay in a video in the comments.

I'm glad I got to see it because it looks really entertaining. I feel like thats the kind of game I would have played in my childhood a lot :D

What an experience.

I really don't want to admit how long it took me to find a certain something.... haha

really beautiful game. everything fits together nicely and I enjoyed not having to read everything for once!

Thank you!

thank you so much. It's alright. I'm sure inside your heart there is a little bit more human now ;)

You don't need Unreal Engine. That is just the tool I used to create the game.

You need a Windows PC and have to download the game. But it's totally fine if you don't want to download something.

I will try to get some videos of the game up later :)

Yupp hehe, you found the biggest problem I faced with the 7 day limit.

My vision is a bigger map with way more things to explore but for a short jam I had to design a level where 1: no one could get stuck anywhere and 2: users where able to  finish without any abilities.

I totally underestimated this process but learned SO much by watching others play.

Thank you so much for the great feedback, I'm glad you had fun!

haha thank you so much for the chuckle.

this just gives me more ideas to keep going with the game! glad you had fun.

yes that is my plan for the future. the biggest level design flaw right now is that you can walk the same path multiple times so it looks like there is nothing to do. but I had to decide between this and risking of users completely getting stuck.

Thank you so much for playing :)
