Original game concept, switching between the two modes was not intuitive at first, but you get the hang of it rather quickly. Also the art style of the entire game is really cool!

Nice work! The switching mechanic was pretty interesting and I like the CRT screen effect. I think some more SFX would go a long way to improving the game feel.
I like the idea and the game is fun. The game gets easier as it goes on though. The powerups are too strong compared to the difficulty.
I liked the retro aesthetic, and the concept was very original.
Movement felt a bit fast though, and it would have been nice to have some feedback when the mode changed. Maybe even a palette swap.
This is such a cool concept, I don't want to spoil it for others but I've never seen anything like this. I also love how you let the players choose from a variety of options. I had a lot of fun playing the great, excellent work!

cool concept. the controls are a little crazy, its really important to give the player feedback when they do something, so some particles and audio will go a long way. I would like to see more difference between the two states, maybe even just a color change.
Great game! The switching between platformer and topdown was really creative! I also liked the 1-bit art style!. It could have had a little more polishing, like screenshake, but overall a very good game!

Cool game, I agree with the other comment some audio would be nice. Also I think the controls are a bit awkward but could be using a laptop/trackpad.
Nice game, but I would be nice if there was a bit more audio, like background music or bullets fired etc.
