I absolutely love the death effect. Nice work!
To beat the eagles (which, I'm pretty sure, isn't a bird that eats insects :o) place yourself just above just above the clouds, and prepare to dodge either by going up or down, and replace yourself. That's one of the safest spot.
The game is great, fits the theme perfectly imo, the different gameplay loops are (too?) short but complete, and the game being story focused isn't hard (apart from the final stage). Nice job :)
I checked if eagles eat butterflies, and it turns out they do. I know that the segments were short, but knowing that the game is kinda difficult, I didn't make the levels longer. Another thing is that people in game jams look for short games, becouse they want to play as many as possible. Thank you for the nice review :).
It was a not a seriously comment, but your serious respond made me check too: it depends on the eagle and I think it's interesting :o
Anyway, that's true that game jam require short games. But IMO, it looks like a sucession of mini-games, and I felt a bit unsatisfied somehow. Like, I learn a gameplay, then the game says "Ok let's change the rules!" so I cannot show off my newly learned skills. Maybe some part could have been longer, to reward the player? ^^

I really liked the art, the cutscenes, and the game idea, but the game was hard, especially the first level 🙃.
If you jump on how to play screen you accumulate jumps and get very high. Gameplay was very simplictic. Music: Undertale

The game is perfect in many ways. I really liked it and it fits the theme really well. I do like Undertale and their songs, but it didn't fit the game. Overall the best game I've played so far
Using the stages of a butterfly as actual levels and having the ending of one level be the beginning of the next stage? Now THAT's a creative use of this theme!
The graphics, soundtrack and sound effects were sublime throughout and each level had solid controls!
The only real critique I can give this game is that I don't know if I just have a skill issue, but it felt like the butterfly was a bit too slow. Once the eagle came on screen, if you were in the middle of its path, you were done. I feel like the butterfly could've been made a bit faster, or the eagle hitbox smaller, but maybe that's just me.
Overall, pretty awesome game!
This game incorporated the theme beautifully and for a platformer the controls felt very responsive. The brief overviews before each level were a really nice addition. I couldn't get past the butterfly and the bird level though, I think the birds hitbox is too big to be avoided.
The graphics and song were really cool! The game was fun and addicting, with a good skill level.

Wonderful game! At first I was stuck for a bit on the first level x)

For the cutscenes i used the unity timeline. You can search for it on youtube, and there are some tutorials on it. I will definitely play your game :)
so many games jammed into one, perfectly fitting to the theme! really great execution (except for the spider, I HATE THAT SPIDER :)), I love the take on the theme and really, really loved your pixel art. (not sure if you made it yourself but it felt very cohesive!) Really cool game!

The graphics in this game are simply amazing, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. My only complaint is that the last level is a little bit too difficult. It took me a while to beat it, but I still enjoyed the challenge.
