Thanks for giving me such detailed feedback, I really appreciate that! I tried to make this game as polished and juicy as I could, so I'm glad you see it the same way. I agree that some things could've been explained better, your gravity multiplier is lower while gliding. In level 3 it was intentional that one platform was lower then the next, so it empasizes the fact that you cannot jump as ghost. And yea I've heard from a lot of people that my graphics can be improved, but graphics is a bit more of my weakness in game dev.

Sorry, kinda forgot to reply. I personaly think the art style depends on the game. For example graphics like thomas had enough would've just not fit this game and I don't want to limit myself due to the graphics. Pixel Art was one alternative I considered, but in my opinion it's just way too slow. And regarding post processing, I did have it, it just wasn't that strong. The bugs in the levels are mostly known, I just don't know why it happens.
Very cool game! It's very well made! It's quite challenging but I generally like that! Couldn't stop trying to beat it! :D

Overall I will say that you have made a really good game!!! I especially love the main character and his amazing funny walking animation. The gameplay idea is overall simple and the game is fun to play.
The ghost idea is cleaver and it makes this game goes from a good to a really good jam game. The music was okay, but part of it was a bit weird and it did not sound very well, but okay music can be really difficult to make. I will maybe recommend you to make a short music loop and instead use the time to make it sound really good.
I had some jumping issue, and I therefor ended stop playing in the first level with a rose. The issue seem to be that the jumping power was not always the same, and I therefor had a really difficult time jumping long enough.
Overall is this a game with a lot of personality, and the unpolished visuals and music makes the game very charming. So this is good jam game, and you can differently be proud what you have made. Well done.
Thanks for the feedback, this jam was the first time i tried to make longer music, since short ones often get repetitive, but I agree that the instrument choice maya not be the best. The jumps do actually have a consistent jumpheight, atleast I've never heard anyone else saying the opposite. You have to hold the jump button for higher jumps, as stated in the game's description on the itch page, but maybe it was because of the webgl build, you may want to try the standalone, maybe that would help. I hope you give it another shot!
Good game! Very good animations and a fairly good idea. But for my feelings the platforms could be a bit "spicier" - if you know what I mean. Over all it's a nice game with a nice idea!

I was going to make a joke about how the game is Kinda Good, but it's actually really great! It was fun and I enjoyed playing it. The animations feel very fluid and well made. My one critique is that the platforming tiles could have been made a bit fancier, but I totally understand that you only had a week to complete everything, so really not a huge gripe. :)

I agree that the tiles could've been a bit better, I originally wanted to go with something like a rocky ground or something, but it was a bit too complicated and because of time reasons I couldn't do it. Jokes aside, the gameplay mechanic is really unique and i love the innovation. This is indeed one of the more original puzzle game i have the honor to play in this jam.
I kinda wish that there are some checkpoint as some levels is very long and the difficulty is high, but is managable. Thanks for creating such an awesome game.
Thanks for the kind words! Checkpoints are kind of hard to implement in this game, as it's hard to balance with the death mechanic, so I didn't do that. I also tried to make the longer levels not too hard, so they don't get frustrating. I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

Interesting interpretation of the theme. I like the movement and game design. I personally don't like Soundtrack and graphics (not my style). Besides it was fun and cool game, Good job!

Nice game and good implementation of the theme! I think the tiles could look a lot better you removed the outlines around each of the tiles, especially the lava.
I really like the level transition, with the bars coming in from top and bottom. I'm genuinely curios how you did that?
Thanks for the feedback! I did the outlines, so it's a bit easier for the player to estimate wether their idea is possible or not, but I guess that's rather personal preference. I did the transition based offbrackeys crossfade video and then I made every bar a single object and moved them accordingly. I'm glad you enjoyed my game :D
The trailer is really good. -1/10 too much red definitely.

Only one major complaint WHY DO GHOST ME DIE TO LAVA(i assume it is lava)?

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that the graphics could be better, but this is a game jam so i didn't mind having mid graphics and I agree that the music can get repetitive after some while. The ghost movement shouldn't have been too hard to understand, I mean everything got explained ingame, could you maybe describe your problems further?
Maybe it's better not to press the space bar, but on the contrary, when pressed, it goes down faster

I played the game afterwards and ended up beating it. Just couldnt get the death count since it got cut off due to the screen size

Overall a really well made platformer. The addition of the roses are great for people who want a little extra challenge and the levels increased in difficulty nicely. Just the main thing like I said in the stream is some of the mandatory moves are a bit inconsistent to pull off and people when playing typically wont end up running into them naturally

Constructive feedback:
Player movement doesn't feels super natural (not a big deal).
The game got hard fast which makes the player want to rage quit. (but i also suck at video games so it might be me).
Its hard to think of more stuff because the game is very well built good job.

Found you again after GMTK 2022 xd. Like the ghost idea, pretty fun platformer, although i could say that moving feels kinda floaty, but i don't mind that. Camera work is nice, all the zoom ins, time slowing and stuff is cool. Music starts pretty wierd but later it gets better. Great work, good theme implementation!

I've just finished playing it and I love the graphics and audio, it got 5 stars in these categories, but the game wasn't that originial (reminded me a lot of papers please) and these bugs would intervene the gameplay way too much, which is why it didn't got a that god rating in game design, but still, this is one of the best games I played so far, good job!
