A cool hybrid isometric-shooter tower defense game.
Pros: a nice aesthetic, cool blend of genres, good audio
Cons: controls are a bit weird (camera is isometric, movement is not), aiming feels a bit imprecise, it kind of feels like the only meta is to put a ton of turrets at the spawn points early to spawn camp the enemies which isn't particularly exciting gameplay, otherwise you get overwhelmed very quickly in the later waves. I'm also not sure how well this fits the theme, feels less "an end is a new beginning" and more "dying to progress".
Overall this was a really cool concept that I think could work really well as a full game with some more polish to the aesthetic and controls.
I loved the game's overall aesthetics! The graphics are simplisic but fun, the music is pretty good too, and the game was pretty fun overall!
One thing I struggled with was the controls: the player moves relative to the world, not the camera, which feels a little unnatural
great game! good job!
Wow! I like how game works!! It was fun to see the gimmick where the player's death became an ally.
The idea is awesome. Dying to get even more towers. I just don't like the aiming.
The generation also surprised me. Once I made a base with turrets and thus blocked the passage, but they destroyed them afterwards (slowly, but still).
I like the theme implementation! You have to strategize whether to respawn and get a turret (but waste time), or if you should stay on guard and have control over your player.
The ONLY negative I see is the AI, they weirdly "charge" at you if you get close, and it's almost unavoidable, I'd like if this attack was less sudden, idk how you would do that so nevermind.
Theme is the best part def, great job!!
Thank you. I agree with you and others feedback that it could use more content! my original intent was to add upgrades like hades (that the only inspiration I could came out with) to the player and turrets. But I only have roughly 2 days to make this game. I will need some motivation and discipline to update the game after the jam xD
I really like how you giving devs feedback regarding there game 🎮
Hats off you buddy !
Nice use of the jam theme! The game was fun, loved the minimap. Just wished the player rotated a little faster and there was some kind of damage visual.
Great job!!
Thanks for the feed. I will tweek it after the jam....If I have the motivation hahaha
Interesting mechanic, dying on purpose so the place is better protected. I enjoyed it, but some other mechanic like upgrating or healing the turrets would be nice.
Great game!
Cool take on tower defense and fits the theme pretty well! I got to around 110 points first try B) The character is a bit weird to control since it is relative to where i'm looking but got the hang of it after a short time. The increasing respawn time after placing turrets got more and more stressfull, which is nice :D Would love to see more towers and more unique enemies! Good job!
The colour scheme is really good and art style is simple which I like. It's a nice twist to the tower defense genre
The games principle of being reborn and leaving a turret is a nice take on the theme i enjoyed the colour schemes and the low poly feel I'd like to see the character a bit more developed and think it would be cool to have a secondary shot or charged shot that maybe has knockback or can shoot through multiple targets. Look forward to seeing the models! (I know you mentioned they're currently placeholders) .
The game looks beautiful! Mechanics are great too. Good job! :)
I really like the simplicity of the art, sometime you just need to be clever when you're lacking time.
Well done :)
Wow, this game design and Grapics are amazing! I absolutely love it!
This game is great but..., the enmy is kinda dumb and somtiems will ne smart, and i hope if this game have an update i want if the player die can select the another tower like laser etc
That was the idea, I have plans for upgrades, different enemy and better AI for some situations like if the path to your is complete block! Just couldn't fit in my schedule, even the player, tower and enemy model are suppose to be place holder.. *sad face*...
I enjoyed the perspective of the game and the procedural generation. the game lacked that game juice like hitting enemies makes them turn red for .2 seconds or bullet effects when shooting. i also would have liked to be able to hold down the mouse so that i didn't have to keep clicking. Good game though i always appreciate procedural generation.
I like the way you used simple shapes, shadows and perspective to have a good looking game without any modells.
Sadly the game didn't quite work on my pc, i guess it's because of my screen size (2560 x 1440)
Pretty fun! I kind of wish the placed turrets were a little stronger.
Gotta love that Unity Bean :D Procedural levels? Or several hand crafted ones? If they're prodedural how did you code them?
I got a score of 120 on my first try. Seems like a good strategy to sprinkle the level with turrets as soon as possible :D. Good implementation of the theme definately.
obligatory beans~ hahah I only have 2.5days to work on these, no time to find good asset or talented enough to make my own 3D model, all jsut basic shape smash together.
There are procedurally generated. Even the background of the starting screen are procedurally generated (because I am out of idea what to do for the starting screen).

I'll have a look! Thank you!
Really liked the concept of the game, it's a fun spin on the theme
Thanks a lot! This was my first game jam as a coder and I'm really happy about how this turned out.
