That was an interesting Idea.

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is a puzzle game based on color sorting. When you start a level, you have to use the last sorted color of the last level to begin: The end of a level is the start of a new one!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yep, everything is made by me.
For the music, I reused pieces I composed before the contest.
The robot design is taken from a game I am working on

I have spent way too much time on mobile games like this and I enjoyed this one, as others have said, a tutorial would be nice (at least about the robot/colour part) and orange and red are barely distinguishable even if you aren't colourblind.
Really fun game! It took me a second to figure out how everything works but once I did it was smooth sailing and a very satisfying game! Maybe a brief tutorial round to introduce the concepts would add but overall really nice game!
This type of puzzle is kinda tricky to code but you coded it flawlessly! (at least I didn't find any bug XD) My only problem with this is that the orange and red colors are practically the same. I'm not colorblind myself but checking the hex values I noticed that they are only different by a hair
I wold recommend creating a shader that adds some sliding textures in front of the different colors (like a pattern with triangles floating in the green for example)
Thanks a lot for playing the game!
Yeah, I just had the remark about the red and orange below ^^ I didn't see it with my monitor at the time...
Thanks to you, I changed the color to more different ones! I am also implementing a colorblind setting that let you choose your own custom set of colors!
Also, very nice idea regarding the tube design, you are absolutely right! I will definitely take that into consideration for future updates!
Thanks for the valuable feedback!
Thanks for playing!
Ah crap, you are absolutely right, I developed the game with a blue light absorber screen, so red and orange were very different during development. Just tried on another device, and I couldn't tell the difference...
Thank you very much for the info! I just changed the color for a more significant difference! I'm also working on a colorblind friednly setting, where you can put your own custom colors!
Appreciate the feedback
Overall a nice game but it dosnt fit the theme at alland the audio is in my opinion a bit load but reallly nice on the starting a bit confusing but still a nice little game
Hey thanks for playing!
For the theme, the take was that the robot change color depending oon your last action in the previous level. As the first action when starting a level is to change color accordingly to the robot color, each playthrough will be different depending on your actions. In that case, the end of a level really means a new beginning for the rest of the game.
I know that the core gameplay is not novel, but I had a hard time thinking an algorithm that would keep tha game playable whatever the player's actions.
Would you mind going in more depth regarding why you think the game doesn't fit the theme?
Regardless, the game really needs a tutorial, you are 100% right
Thanks!
Cute game, at first I didn't understand the initial color change mechanic, but once I realized it it added just that little extra layer of thinking about what needed to be changed, which I think was a cool touch. Well put together and smooth, good job!
Liked the use of the theme on this one!
Definitely took me way more than I’m willing to admit to figure out how to play it, but once I did I breezed through the levels!
Fun entry and a nice little twist on a well-known game style.
This is so fun! It took a while for me to figure out how the game worked exactly, the description really helped with that. Now that I know how it works it plays a bit like an alternate version of solitaire.
Thanks for playing!
Yep, I figured that the indications in the game were too limited to understand the controls.
If it is not too much, could you tell me where you had most trouble: knowing that you have to use the mouse / understanding that you have to click the robot at the beginning / what to do with the tubes.
Thanks!
Yes ofcourse! Starting chronologically:
When starting level 1, I didn't understand the mechanic of placing the first color, this can be because I played the WebGL build which cuts a portion of the game's screen height. Now I understand that the robot has a slight bouncing animation to indicate that you can click it, but it was not clear enough for me to intuitively understand this the first time.
After placing the first colour, I was clicking on all the beakers that contain colour, but nothing was happening. Shortly after I noticed that there were empty beakers that you can use as auxiliary to temporarily store colours, which then made a lot of sense. After that the game played smoothly.
Conclusion:
First time starting a level, maybe add a helper text to explain the mechanic to change one of the colours by clicking on the robot. 'change an upper color by clicking on the robot, it can't be the same colour as the robot', something along the lines of this.
The empty beakers blend a little too much with the background, maybe add a white background to the beaker sprite so that it is in front of the background texture.
Hope this helps, I find it a very relaxing, enjoyable puzzle game!
Whoa, thanks a lot for this extensive reply!
It will be really helpful as I am planning to continue, and maybe release the game :D
From what you tell me, I have to be extra careful about screen resolution. As the robot can be missing sometimes. I also need to find a better solution to highlight the robot, and the vials.
Thanks again for the super nice tips!
Seems very similiar to a lot of mobile games like that but i like the music!
Thanks for trying out the game!
Yes, in fact, I looked into some mobile games for color sorter. To tell you the whole story, I didn't have that much time for this jam, so I needed a fairly simple concept. At the beginning of the week, I didn't have that much idea. Then, my girlfriend came to me saying that the game she wished the game she is currently playing to be more polished. So I told her that I would do it myself... And here we are ^^
Anyway, i'm glad you liked the music!
I'll go check your game ;)
