Nice artwork and great music choice.

Excellent! Really liked the style, pixel art, music, and the bobbing head of the sprite. :-) Was all going well, and then I got stuck at the die (see image). Just wanted to add, it made me think slightly of Flashback and Abe's Oddysee. I like the scene by scene separation. On a technical note, did you create a scene for each section and then load between them, or is it one long map?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for you feedback! We created each level in separate scenes and loaded between them.

Hey DragonLens! I liked your platformer especially the character design was particularly emotive and the backgrounds I feel like the foreground could've done with more love to compliment the backgrounds, I also managed to get stuck on one particular section and when I press R it doesn't reset the room just the player so I cannot seem to proceed maybe I am missing something.

Great game! I like the opening  isekai'd lol

Very nice job! I don't have much to say other than that! it was really good! Maybe just don't repeat the music after every level. Just keep it playing all the way through. Oh and I got a bug where I went backwards through the door I came after switching a level and I got stuck. I really thought it was funny that the ghost guy bobs his head to the music for some reason.

Very nice platformer with precise movements and great attention to sound effects, well done !

I especially love the character runing and respawing animations.

If I were you I'd probably boost the double jump height, since the 2nd jump is so low, at first I thought I didn't have 2 jumps.

Fun game! I like the pixel art. i found the second level a bit confusing without hints or help but once i got passed it, it was fine. nice music too!

Submitted

I could not pass the 2nd location (most likely there is a bug, sorry

Developer

Thanks for trying our game! In the second level, the platform switch mechanic is introduced, where you can press E when standing by a switch to activate the platforms currently locked in place. I hope this helps solve your problem!

Like the synced music and character animation! It feels so satisfying. (also the artstyle)

You may get soft-locked by the platforms, so be careful lol

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, getting soft-locked can happen that is why we introduced the pressing R to respawn to get out of situations like that.

Controls are fun and the art is great especially the starting cutscene

Developer

Thank you for your feedback!

Cool platformer :). I really enjoyed the art and the music is nice too. A bit of feedback is that the buttons that paused moving platforms don't reset after death, so if you pause moving platforms and then die you can get soft-locked. Other than that great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Getting soft-locked can happen that is why we introduced the press R to respawn in cases like that.

I played this game everything is very integrated, the art and the music, everything seems very complete, impressive for a game jam. I rated. I would appreciate if you would rate ours too!

Amazing job at creating an excellent character controller as well as well-designed levels.

Developer

Thank you for playing and your feedback!

very cool i was trying to get the platforms in my game do the same thing as in yours like go from one position to another then return how did you do it because every time i tried it just glitched so i went with another approach. Really cool game and i loved the dying sound effect it was so satisfying.

While I am not the creator of this game, I would recommend using the DOTween asset which allows you to lerp to a value and then reverse it automatically.

Developer

So that trick took some time and playing around with rigidbody movement and changing course in a transform list. There are several ways to accomplish the effect you were trying to achieve but yes it took some time. Thank you for your feedback!

One of the best character controllers I've seen from a jam platformer in quite some time! I don't really have any major concerns or critiques other than some small details like the volume controls in the settings don't seem to work. Other than that though, really solid!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, Yes we found out during playtesting after the game was on itch that the main menu settings audio controls were not working. However the in game pause menu settings audio controls do work! Once the rating period is over that will be one of the first fixes we implement!
