Q: How does the game fit the theme? A: On the middle of the map there are 4 different abilities. Each one representing one thing ( Building, Repairing, going Up and going to the right ). The vandals are trying to destroy these abilities. If they do destroy them, you will lose that ability. Then, you will realize that you only value them now because they are gone ( You can still repair them by staying near them though ).

The music was jamming so hard loved it. It's a bit too easy, once you've put your turrets you just cycle back adn forth and you get bored really quickly. But I like the attempt at making the player do something while the turrets are shooting. And you respected the theme!
The music was fun. Probably the best part for me but overall I enjoyed the experience.
Simple and fun, loved that you had to run around and fix turrets all the time while not running into enemies and i loved that you lost abilities if you didn't protect your base, Overall good game.
Only down side is that it took me some time to understand what some turrets did and what actually happened when the enemies hit the middle part but overall a fun game :D
Simple but fun, a cute game with great music! I think the difficulty could have increased a lot faster because it felt like it took ages to get to the second turret. I also probably would have limited one button press to one tower being placed, mostly because I had to stay still to place a turret otherwise I'd accidentally place multiple. Other than that a great start!
Enjoyed this a lot. The only feedback I have is I thought the difficulty ramp up could be a little faster.
I really enjoyed the music quite a lot. There's a really good contrast between the sections that really gives the whole track some extra oomph. I found myself generally just spam-building turrets and couldn't really tell what the difference between the different types was. I also didn't notice that the enemies could take away your movement :o It was also a bit hard for me to know when I was repairing or when they needed to be repaired so I kinda ended up just placing them everywhere since usually money was not much of an issue. For some reason, I couldn't fullscreen (probably my browser) so I had a bit of trouble understanding action, but still had a good time :) nice job!
Hey! Thanks for the feedback. Just out of curiosity, what's your browser?
I was running the game on Brave which is built on Chromium. It might've been blocking some of the unity scripts or something like that since the actual fullscreen button was unclickable -_-
Ah nice!!! I enjoyed this! I love the concept! The art was "ok" for me until I fullscreened it, and I saw they were all little guys and then I got really invested haha! :D Nice! I also love the mechanic where you lose abilities; when I discovered you could wrap around to the other side of the map I laughed so hard, brilliant! :D
I did end up running around in a circle holding the spacebar in the end though, it was too much effort to set up a strategy and keep it viable so I went for the lazy option. I think with a few tweaks this game could really kick ass though, if I may be so bold as to make suggestions!
1) I think it would help if the damaging you abilities part was demonstrated a lot earlier, I didn't really notice the damage particularly until later which is a shame 'cos it's an awesome mechanic and it'd be great if it came into play more. I'd try moving the damagable parts out more so they're around halfway down the road, so you lose abilities more easily, and can perhaps manage without them for a while until you can repair them. Currently they're very close to losing health so there's no trade off, you either lose abilities and then health, or you're ok.
2) I like the repairing turrets mechanic, but it made it hard for me to strategise their position as they could soon diappear, so I ended up keeping them close together so I could re-arm them easily. If they didn't diasppear and just fired less often instead I could have put more thought into their position, and also panic-repaired different directions for more firepower when I needed it.
But yeah I enjoyed it a lot, I love the little vandal guys, some guys just want to smash up a big brick with a heart in it huh? And the music was brilliant and is still stuck in my head, I love it so much! Good game, thank you! :D
It's pretty cool, I like the visuals and the music is great. Did I mishear or is the soundtrack dynamic, changing with the enemy difficulty level or so? I'm a sucker for dynamic music.
I think the difficulty could use a bit of work though - there was very little challenge until I think around the time I got the third turret. Perhaps that's intended, but I felt it was a bit too long. Then suddenly there were swarms of enemies, but I was not really limited by money, but by my ability to run around and spam-build. I think it could start off harder and scale more smoothly.
And also a suggestion - when you unlock a new turret type, it would be nice to have some sort of message indicating what it is (maybe how much it costs?). Or maybe there is some info somewhere and I didn't notice it.
Yup music is dynamic. Gets more intense the more mid-ability thingies you lose.
Agree. Balancing sucks. ( Even though I tried to balance the game for like 6 hours )
Adding an indicator would have indeed been nice.
Great tower defense game. I love the play on words with non-civil engineer. A civil engineer friend of mine once told me that the difference between civil engineering and mechanical engineering is that mechanical engineers make cool weapons and civil engineers make targets *gasp.* Tangent aside, I had a lot of fun playing this game.
Small bug, which I bet you're already aware of, I place two towers if I'm standing perfectly halfway between two points. Honestly though, I always had enough money that accidentally placing a second tower was totally fine.
I'll have to take note of your sound check at the beginning. Very smart way to ensure the player's browser settings are cooperating well with your game.
Great game!
Hey! About the bug, it's not *exactly* a bug. I'm using Unity and Input.GetKey, which is called every frame, so if you stand right in the middle you are placing a turret on one spot on one frame then on the next frame, you place a turret on another spot.
Thanks for the positive words. Loved your game btw. Cheers!

Ahhhh, so not a bug, just a pleasant surprise for the player :)
Good looking with a cracking soundtrack and fun - I liked the idea of the mechanic where your abilities were on the line, rather than just your health :)
If you were to develop it more, it could be interesting to give the player a bit more agency as to which abilities were in the line of fire.
what do you mean you can't place towers???????? Just use the right-click on your mouse?
How can I know that ? I used left mouse like everyone !
It literally says "RMB to place turrets" on the left side of the UI at the beginning of the game.
No matter what side of the mouse I click, the towers can't be placed. Why did you even make this ?
Cool tower defense game! I like the music quite a bit! You did a great job on that.
A fun little game that works well and has a nice soundtrack. The gameplay is very simple and so not much replayability. But generally a bug-free game with cute graphics. Well done!
Check out our game too :)
Loved the audio - fun music and great 8-bit feel. I couldn't really tell the difference between the turret types though. If you were working on this more I'd suggest adding something to make the gameplay more challenging - different turrets interacting with different enemy types maybe?
This game was quite the delight to play for a tower defense game. I absolutely LOVED the music for this game as it just really landed the NES feel for me.
The gameplay was quite nice at first, but then it kind of got repetitive and I was really hoping there would be a difficulty curve in the game. Or maybe I didn't get to see it. I got a score of about 60 and I still didn't see any increase.
The art was really nice too. I don't know if its just me, but the turret icon on the right looked like it was scaled up a bit and it just didnt fit with the rest of the art in the gameplay. Again, it may be just me and I'm looking at it in a wierd way.
Overall though, this game was an awesome entry!
This game is very fun, though a bit simple. The song is incredible and I love it! It definitely adds to the experience. The style seems a bit small, but is still pleasing to look at. The game isn't really for me, but I'd definitely say it is good!
