This game is so polished it I wouldn't be surprised seeing a game like this on steam for $20 good job!!!

Developer

Thanks! Really glad you like it :)

Not a fan of the complete restart.

Loved the level design though.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yes, I agree, it could have been done better. :D

Oh this is so cute! The art style is amazing! My biggest gripe is the level design, since the middle level require a pixel perfect jump. Hold jump a millisecond higher and I got poke in the head, then restart again. But overall, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! You just have to press the jump button there and not hold it, and he does just a tiny jump :D

Anyway, thank you for your time . We really appreciate that.  And we’re definitely going to check and rate your game (and as many others we’ll be able to) during this week.

Awesome animations and some nice background music. The artstyle was also great. A funny addition would be, if the robot's eyes look in the direction of the mouse in the main menu.

Now on to the bad. It is really annoying that you get reset to the beginning each time you die. Also, the jump pictured below is very hard to pull off, because the character can only jump if he is grounded (you should check if he is grounded or was grounded 0.2 seconds ago).

Then we get to this part. C'mon guys, how I can anyone get across?

Submitted

For your first screenshot, you are supposed to pass above the spikes to reach that platform. But the second one, I agree. I tried several times to pass that section until I finally give up.

Submitted

Ah okay, that explains why that jump was so difficult to pull off.

Submitted

That low jump is pretty easy. You're just holding your jump button down like a nub.

Developer

Thank a lot for the feedback!

The eye mouse-looking animation wouldn’t be very easy to make since the character is completely done using traditional frame by frame animation. This tiny not-important feature would mean hours of extra work.

On to the respawn - yes, I agree this is not done the best way and it can be frustrating. We spent most on the art, character controller and animations and just didn’t have enough time to properly design and polish the overall game design.

To your screenshots:

 - you just have to go right and over the spikes in the first one.

- the second one - you have use a small jump by just pressing the jump button, not holding it. The character’s jump height is simply related to the button hold time.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback . We really appreciate that.  And we’re definitely going to check and rate your game (and as many others we’ll be able to) during this week.

Nice looking game! The character animation is one of the better ones i have seen and the controls feel really responsive and fun. The only issue for me is the lack of checkpoint system, since you have to replay the whole game if you miss-time one jump.

Developer

Thank you very much! Agreed that the death/replay system could be done better - we just didn’t have enough time to test and polish it properly. :)

I absolutely loved the art style and animation of the game, and thought that it really had very good presentation. but it was extremely hard in an unfair way, 1. the game requires the player to perform accurate platforming right from the get go.you mess one thing up and you either start from the beginning of the level or the game.  2. The game didn't have a checkpoint system in place and after a while things started getting frustrating, I barely managed to reach the middle of 3rd level before being spiked to death triggered by the little dude. I really wish the game was a bit easier and fair, I really wanted so where the story was headed and experience the beautiful art.(Btw which software did you use for art and animation?).

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much fot the feedback!

I agree that it could be a bit easier. We spent most time on the art, animation and character controller and didn’t have enough time for level design. Though, we thought that permadeath would fit the game perfectly in this case. We wanted the players to experience more and more fear from puzzles when they get further and further.  But there definitely should be a way to bypass levels you beat already.

The art was made in photoshop and character animations in TV Paint.

Anyway thanks again for trying our game and giving your thoughts. Relly appreciated.

The animation is amazing!

I loved this game, just wish there was a checkpoint system.. Other than that in my opinion, it was great!

Great job on creating it! I'd love if you checked out my game and let me know what you think! :D

Developer

Thank you!

We don`t think that checkpoints would fit to it, though. It would ruin the experience of being scared of the puzzles :D  But it could definitely be a bit easier or shorter :)

Anyway, thanks for playing - we`re gonna check your game and the other ones too during next week.

A really cute game about running bean :P Great visuals and a really nice atmosphere, though I find it a bit harsh that I have to restart in the beginning everytime. Also I felt that controls were a bit delayed sometimes which made it even harder. Amazing game anyway :) Wish you best.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!

And yes, the character controller and overall design could be more polished.

Anyway, thank you for trying it out and your feedback. Really appreciated - we`re gonna check your game and the other ones too during next week.

I love all about it, even how hard it can be. Definitely one of my favourite.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much. :)

I love the character animation... but man this game is hard. I rage-quitted after the moving platform bit. I really wish you had added checkpoints for each room. Otherwise excellent game with great platforming controls

Developer

Thanks!

I think that adding checkpoints would not fit to the game, though. It would ruin the experience of being scared of the lying puzzles :D  But I agree, it could definitely be kinda easier or shorter.
