I'm glad somebody made a RTS game, and a fairly decent one, with all the basic variations. I think the melee/ranged bar is inversed at the barracks, but other than that no complaints, only fun! Loved the twist lol.

The idea for this game was interesting and the game was pretty fun to play. Some music and some better graphics would have been great, but for a one week jam that is totally okay. The end was a bit weird, I don't know if the game crashed or it did just closes when I lost the fight. Overall is this a pretty good jam game. Well done.
Very good concept. I really liked it. Played and rated!
Don't forget to rate my game please: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476599
Rated - Really cool idea, definitely polish it up after the jam. I haven' played an RTS in a long time, it was fun! Also, good job learning how to code this! Great job. Please check out my game when you can~ good day!
The game is very good and fun, the graphics are smooth and polished, the music was good, unfortunately it crashed before I reached the end, what is the connection with the theme?
The music ? There is no music... not sure what you mean by that.
It "crashes" when you win or lose, actually. The connection to the theme is that the game misleads you - it encourages you to strip mine the map as coldly and efficiently as possible but that only hastens your death - the "corruption" that comes in fact depends on how much Equirium there is left on the map. As such you can completely avoid it if you're patient ! Just gotta let the metal regenerate regularly, sort of lay the mines "fallow".
A simpler interpretation of the theme is the lie about the game's difficulty too. At first it's really easy, the natives don't attack you. All you (think you) have to do is just taking the map over and win. The corruption puts that notion under the ground.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, and for playing ! :)
I can't, for what's worth, finish conquer everything. I mean, I tried protecting the crap out of one mine, tried developing a lot of troops, but nothing. The troops' movement doesn't seem to work when those awful enemies attack.
But still 20/10 game
Amazing game! The only thing I would suggest is adding music. Love the models.
So much content in a game. Was confusing at first, but I had fun playing it!
Will definitely play it again if I have time.
After 2h of trying (I remembered the theme of the jam a bit late), I won, and the game instantly quit.... not even victory message :'(
I had more fun trying to kill dark monsters than waiting equirium to get a population of 1000.
I hope you will add music, and maybe rework on the graphics of the UI.
I really enjoyed your game and there is a lot of work for only one week. Nice job!
You... won ? I didn't expect any tester to have the patience to win. I'm honored you'd spend 2 hours of my time on my game ! And yeah, sorry about the lack of Game Over / Victory screen, didn't really have time (could have made something really simple I guess).
I hope this victory surrounded by hearts : <3 VICTORY YOU'RE THE BEST YAAAY <3
is sufficient replacement.
Really impressive game.
Seems like a lot of work, respect for doing a rts in one week.
Omg this amount of content in a week is pretty damn phenominal! I felt the UI was pretty confusing at first but once I got my head around it I felt it was all very clean and easy to use. Nice to see you got in lots of handy RTS elements like clicking the minimap and group selection down pat- and the unit ai all behaved real nicely. Overall, good game and great job! I will now go weep for my little settlement...
This is an impressive amount of content for a 1 week game jam. I appreciated the simple art style of the characters an enemies. I think it is an interesting take on the theme. I got quite far before the enemies started spawning. Watchtowers were good until the dogs came out.
I grasped the concept quite easily, but an RTS is risky business for a game jam :) I really like that its not another platformer. You could make the UI more minimalistic without sacrificing any information and maybe show the tutorials with pictures of the buildings.
This Game is amazing! I had a lot of fun playing it!
I would love it, if you also try out my game =)
It's a bit confuse at the beginning. But when I know that I have to build 5 houses first, the game become playable. When I was almost captured all mines, the sky turn black and new enemies spawn. This is so unexpected. My armies are far from my house, I messed up.
Here are some downside of the game:
- UI could be more user friendly
- beginning tutorial could be more detailed, since it's kinda hard core strategic game
- lastly, BGM and more sound effect will be great
Overall, this is a good game!
Hey there ! Thanks a lot for playing my game, I know it's hard to get into.
Interesting you say that about the tutorial - before I shrunk it down to its current size it was a novel, but very precise. People have been telling me it's still too long and complicated as it is, but I guess it really depends on the audience I'm going for. I'm definitely part of that gamer population who like complicated games that are harder to jump into. Not the best for a Game Jam tho :S
Thanks for these tips, I'll definitely work on those if I get back to that project later. Need a break from it right now xD
