A space game about autumn! What a unique take on the theme! I couldn't find the autumn planet even though I had enough clues to visit the worlds with the ??? on them, it was hard to figure out which planets I had seen or which I had yet to see. Perhaps making a sun in the center and putting all the planets on an orbit around the sun it would make it easier to navigate as well as some sort of marker or cursor saying you have visited the planet. Perhaps also an indicator whether or not you have discovered everything on a that particular planet there is to see, all the hints. Great entry!
Autumn in space is such a unique concept! Love the chill music and vibes. I'm not sure what the game is meant to do if you click "no" when the "is this the autumn planet" dialog pops up the first time - I felt like I hadn't explored enough to tell if the planet I was on fit the clues, so I ended up declining and continuing my exploration, but that dialog never did pop back up. I ended up restarting the game and was able to complete it that time. Overall good work, very relaxing and I really enjoyed playing it :)
Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!
(minor spoilers)
That dialog only appears if you have collected at least 2 clues that could potentially point to the planet you are on, and then only after you explore a portion of the planet. (there are a handful of hidden explore points that you have to enter in order for it to consider explored, and they reset when you leave). Long term i'd love to make it more clear that you have to explore, and meet the clues, in order for it to be considered a valid option.
But regardless, this kind of feedback is super super helpful for identifying what needs to be better communicated. <3
Yeah I think I missed a clue or two on my first playthrough, and I wandered around the unknown planets kinda aimlessly lol. I searched very thoroughly on my second playthrough though and that did the trick!
This is definitely one of the more unique games I've seen this jam. Definitely did not expect a game in space! Well done!
I like the daringness of making a game that takes place in space for the jam. This is a pretty cool premise!
I love space game and definitly Cozy. Congrats to the team ! :)
Thank you for playing! I developed this solo (other than grabbing third party assets). But I'm glad it came off as cozy, I was a little worried about going with a space setting for that reason haha
This was great! A very cozy experience. Far more cozy than typical space travel. I learned a lesson in the end, cause here I was stressing about figuring out which planet was the Autumn planet.
When you land and leave a planet you never know which direction you'll wind up facing which made it difficult to know where you've been and where you're going.
Thank you for featuring a poly throuple as the main characters! I love to see it. :)
Yeah, I thought why not make the representation I want to see, right? (clarification though: they are technically a V, not a throuple, but I wasn't able to write many scenes that made this super clear)
So glad you enjoyed it. <3
Really liked the theme of this game! definitely gave me some outer wilds vibes which is a huge plus, great job!
Thank you! I'm definitely a big fan of Outer Wilds, so I'm glad those vibes came through :3
Aaaa I was gone for a few days and came back to some really nice comments <3 Thank you all for the great feedback.
This is a really unique and interesting idea! It's feel so relaxing travelling the star, the art style and music is excellent and I love the whole atmosphere of the game!! Awesome work :D
Really cool game. I definitely wish there was a star map and maybe even a planet map. I also kind of think it would have been cool to be able to explore the plants on foot a bit, but overall the game was pretty awesome. I also found myself wishing the clues were shown to me in some way, like when it said bushes showed a little picture of what the bush might look like. For a planet map I would like it to show landmarks I've visited and a galaxy map to show what planets I've visited and what % I explored them. That way I could know if I was just flying around for no reason. I liked the music, art, and overall the game. Great work.
Those are all great suggestions: definitely would have included some of them with some more time :3 thank you so much for playing!
In love with this, would love to see some sort of fully realized version of this, like an ultra-cozy outerwilds where the only mystery is finding a nice place to camp. Unfortunately the planet i was sure was the autumn planet would never give me the prompt to actually let me guess it. But it was a lovely time ^^
Oh! And while i get that it is missing the clue tracker, it did feel cozier to be writing down notes in a real notepad, even if i ended up not using them much 😅
God I love the visuals. I love the vibe this game has, super chill and cozy. Finding clues took a while due to how big these planets are and how the clues are kinda easy to miss. I enjoyed the writing from start to end. Though i'm still not 100% sure if I did end up finding the autumn planet but I did find a planet that matched the 3 clues i had found while exploring, so i settled there. Overall I enjoyed the experience of playing this game and I can tell that there was a lot of effort put into this game. Amazing job!
definitely has potential.
I think theres a bug with the dialogue, since I ended up repeating it twice whenever I interact once with an unknown planet
Really fun game, the idea is cool, the dialogs are great, flying on a planet feels a bit tricky, especially looking for landmarks, takes some time to find anything.
I liked it overall, keep up the good work!
This is a beautiful project, I really enjoyed playing through it! Great work! :-)
Thank you for playing!
This is so impressive! I really loved the story, the art, the music. You really should be proud of this, congrats!
Thank you so much <3
