I love the style of characters and the environment, however I found it difficult to control, the camera is too sensitive ;)

Cute art style! but the controls is a little bit off.

Developer

Glad you liked it!

Nice looking little game. Sadly the controls did not work for me, cant go past the first log.

Developer(+1)

I'm sorry to hear the controls didn't work :(( maybe it was a problem with the webGL build?Nonetheless, thanks for the reply!

i just tried to download the game instead of the web version, thinking it could fix the problem. but this time i could not even launch the game. ( i downloaded the zip version)

here is the error i got:

Failed to download file Build/FoxyRunWebGL.data.gz. Loading web pages via a file:// URL without a web server is not supported by this browser. Please use a local development web server to host Unity content, or use the Unity Build and Run option.

hope it help in any way. :)

Adorable! Love both the 2D and the 3D art styles. I can see this being a great base to build on. The music loop could be a bit longer.

Developer

Really enjoyed making the game and the overall atmosphere of it , glad you did too!

I like how the forest looks, Had a small issue where my mouse would escape onto my second monitor (using browser version) but that was just a minor issue. I think it would've been nice to see the player have a bit of a faster move speed especially with how long it takes to walk to then end. but overall i think this is pretty nice

Developer

I'm glad you liked this lil game, and thank you for the feedback!!!

Title screen is a little messy, picture of the fox cover words so you can't read them. I also find it strange to have description text like this in the title menu of the game. Some spelling and grammatical errors as well but those are minor. There are some issues with bounds and camera positioning. The area feels empty in some places. Nice job

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, will keep in mind!

A good walk, but I went out of bounds on my first playthrough.

  • I went to the first brown hilltop pointing towards an icy mountain, dropped down through the trees, and walked to the edge of the map.

  • Also for future reference, the camera might want to reposition/hide the blocking trees and walls.

Thanks for playing, sorry u ran into some issues hope u enjoyed either way!

Yoo what a cute fox! Made it to the end! Good job!
I think it would be a little more convenient if the fox made you walk slower and you had a reason to not always have it on your back.

Developer

Really glad about how the fox came out to be honest, and that's a great suggestion, thank you!

To be honest didn't really think about the sensitivity but it would for sure be a good ideea to add some type of slider for it!

Cute game! Agree about the camera movement, it was also easy to have trees get between the camera and the player. Thanks for sharing!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Those screenshots are a bit misleading, lol. I thought I was getting into a visual novel and then it dropped me into a 3D fox game. Which wasn't bad, but the walking pace was a bit too slow, and perhaps a slider for the music and some sound effects would make this 10x better. I would drop some screenshots of the game too, its a good looking game, not sure why you chose to use the illustrations instead.

Developer

Thank you for playing, i agree that the camera could have used some after tought but nonetheless glad you enjoyed the submission

cute game, could use a bit more polish though... specially with the camera movement since I found it a bit to sensitive

Developer

I agree regarding the camera but thanks for playing!
