idk how to get new skills, how to open shop, so ig it's a little bit unpolished
btw, it's nice, good luck
Thanks for playing!
Right, there is a lot to improve upon.
You can get new skills by activating the campfire and then defeat all enemies :)
Great start and interested in seeing what you have in store for this! One thing I think would benefit the game is being able to hold the mouse down instead of constantly clicking. Great job though!
What a fun little game you have here! I think there is lots of potential with this one. It would be great to have some music and sound effects to help you get more into the action, and a larger gameplay area. That said, the controls were easy to figure out, and I had fun trying to hold off all the monsters swarming me. I am not sure how far I got, but I was able to select four spells before I gave up. One issue I ran into was that at some point, my screen went red, which I assume was a curse? I couldn't quite figure out how I was getting cursed, and visiting campfires wasn't reducing the curses consistently for me. At one point, I did get down to 0 curses, but the red screen was still there. Anyway, despite that, I still had a good time. Good work on this!
Thanks for playing! The red screen must have been a bug because sadly the curses are broken in this version of the game :D
Cute game! I really loved the art and the enemy algorithm. It made it the right amount of difficulty imo. I would have loved some music and sound effect tho.
The art looks really cool! I was a bit confused by what the campfires did as when I first went by one my curses counter did not reset. It also seemed the upgrade pop-up appeared at a random interval. But the particles on the fire attack look really cool, keep it up!
Tons of potential here! I like that the combat requires manual input as opposed to the timer-based idling in Vampire Survivors. It's just missing sfx, animations, and lots of flashing dopamine-dispensing light effects. Good work! :)
Thanks for your feedback :)
You are right, there is a lot to improve. I already have a huge update prepared :D
Very solid little vamp survivors type game, even with some different behaviors with the enemies, I like! You're really only a few steps away from a full running game, and regardless of that it was fun! Well done
Very cool! The core gameplay is solid, and it runs very well in the browser. If you hadded just a few animations, SFX, and some background music this would be that much better! Keep up the great game deving!
Ok, one of the funniest game tried on this jam! Saved in my personal collection.
Just a couple of improvements (e.g. animations of the attacks of the player) and it could be a little gem!
Immediately easy to understand and play. Would have loved some kind of tutorial or instructions. Wasn't really sure if I was playing forever, or if there was some goal in mind. Even if not in game, just on the itch.io page.
Took quite a while to figure out what is going in game. At first, I thought the spells were OP, glad it was proven otherwise very quickly. The game really doesn't hold back on the enemies if you take too much time, which is a good thing considering the concept. I wasn't able to use the 30 exp spell. Overall, A really fun game.
Yes, sadly there is a bug where spellslot 3 & 4 wont work :(
Thanks for playing :)
This is really fun. I was surprised by how far I made it because I got a red screen really quickly with low health but then played several rounds like that :D I think I made it to about 500xp. There’s no way to heal right? Great game overall, congrats!
Thank you :)
Yes you are right there is no way to heal and no goal other than surviving as long as possible. Sadly I couldn't work the full 3 days on it but I will continue working on it after the jam. There is a lot I want to improve :D
It's a bit tricky at first, but gets interesting once you get a few spells. At times, you'll find yourself running around in circles looking for fire, watching helplessly as the hordes of enemies grow larger and larger.
Overall looks nice! I like the tone of the art. It would be nicer if it has some sounds or music, and if we can hold LMB to shoot continuously.
