Nice game!

The game was fun, it was a bit hard to see the items in front of the customers but it wasn't a big deal. Great job on the game!

I'm kind of mad about how good this is compared to mine.

Developer

Don't be, your game was great too! We are all just trying our best and having fun over here.

loved it, so cozy!

This is one of the coziest games I've tried! The music fits perfectly with the vibe and the graphical assets you chose work really well together. The gameplay is fun too. After I had gotten used to it I was able to find a flow and play endlessly, when the RNG allowed it. But my losing due to bad spawns could just mean I failed to strategize around it. I think something that would help me is more comfy item interaction. I like SplatTab's suggestion for how to reapproach that though I don't mind mouse clicks for controls. But I did keep mixing up LMB and RMB because to me the two felt like they should've been reversed. That could just be me though

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely need to figure out what I should do with the controls for the next step. I'm thinking I can probably simplify it to only one button/click so that should help.

I have spent countless hours playing Overcooked 2 (and I really love the hot cocoa/Christmas levels in it), so this was such a familiar cozy game for me. While I've obviously seen a very similar game concept before, I still enjoyed seeing it in a top-down pixel art style, and for the most part the gameplay worked well once I got used to the controls. The only bug I encountered was one round where every person in the line almost off the screen only wanted hot milk in a cup, and only one milk ever spawned (despite clearing lots of space on the counters). If you were to update, it would be cool to see you put your own spin on this to help differentiate it from Overcooked 2's gameplay a bit more. In any case, very much enjoyed playing :)

Thanks for playing! Glad to hear there are some other Overcooked fans. I have a couple mechanics I want to add like being able to purchase designated ingredient spawn points and more counter space that you can customize but I ran out of time. I am planning on working on it more in the future so thanks for your feedback!

Love those ideas! I really like the idea of being able to modify the kitchen for efficiency, like in Plate Up, and I think that would be such a cool mash up with a more Overcooked style game. I'll follow - would love to see your updates :)

Developer

Thanks! I haven't played much plate up so I will have to check it out.

I think you'll be a fan if you like Overcooked!

The controls are a bit confusing at first but once you get used to it, the game becomes quite fun to play. I can't see the lower counters once the customers start to form a line. And the game is unfair on the ingredients spawning. The game is really cute and cozy. Great game.

Thanks for the feedback!

The instructions were kind of misleading at first, I thought I need to use my mouse left or right click.
It took me a while to understand the game and making it work. However, the game concept was fun once you're able to understand it! Love the music too!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely need to work on the controls a bit to make it easier.

Wow! It's reeeally amazing this game!
The design  is simple and effective, the music is perfect for the theme, and people to be served gives you the internal-game feedback needed to going on and play again!
Really good job!

The sprites were cute and overall the game was fun. The gameplay mechanics took a second to learn but were very intuitive. I did experience a few unfair game-overs due to not enough mugs spawning. Good job! :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I definitly need to work on the spawn rates for the various items. I wanted to add a mechanic where you could use coins to buy items if you don't have any but I didn't get to it in time.

Really cool idea and I love the pokemon inspired art style! At one point I somehow got myself confused thinking I had a mug with hot milk and chocolate, but I seemed to be holding both separately, so maybe there's a bug or I misunderstood something.

Developer(+1)

Ya there is a bug where you can hold multiple items at once that I didn't have time to fix.

I love the pixel art and concept of this game and the music suits with the game, at first I was confused a bit how to play but when I figured it out I was nice to play.

Submitted(+1)

Great game! The pixel art and music definitely added to a cozy winter vibe!

I love the art and music. everything seems super cohesive, but there was a slight detail that I think may need to be edited------ the sprites movement was a little slow, so it was harder to complete tasks efficiently. Otherwise, amazing game!

Developer

Thanks! and ya for some reason the sprits moved a lot slower when I exported (webGL or PC) vs when I played in Unity. Will definitely look into it more because it also makes the NPC's animation look a little weird sometimes.

Great premise.  Art, game play, and music all go together very well.

Was good art was nice. Controls felt a bit clunky with left and right clicking.

Developer

Thanks! do you have any suggestions for what controls might be better?

Submitted(+1)

I just didnt like left and right click I think like a square showing what object you were interacting with on the counter and just a pickup and drop button would have been nicer. This game did remind me of overcooked you should look at that for inspiration. and there was some weird issues with dropping items in wrong spots. Just could have been more polished but you did really good.

Developer

Ya I love overcooked so that was definitely an inspiration. I don't play it on a PC tho so IDK what the controls are for the PC version. Ill have to check it out.

quite entertaining, I like it

Very appealing art style and music, but the gameplay itself was very finnicky. Really like the concept tho.

Developer

Hey thanks for the feedback! What did you find finicky?

Submitted(+1)

Like the simplicity of this, very cozy
