I love the art thats too beautiful! Sadly I am too bad at platform games so i couldn't go very far sorry :( But it's seems really polished so well done!

My feedback for Arachno Escape:
What your game does well:
Your game executes the theme all the way to the end where the arachnid decides to implode the human it's in. On that point also the game's plot is very comical.
The game also has variety in what the player must do. You took advantage of an arachnid's traits and presented different segments, like descending a web or crawling on the background.
What your game doesn't do well:
While the art is well-illustrated, it was unclear at times what in the foreground was solid and what was simply aesthetic choice. There were two instances where this caught me off guard:
- It wasn't clear that the gums are a bottomless pit because they blend nicely with the teeth and tongue.
- The tails of the fish skeletons; it isn't clear when the platform ends even when there are rolling plaque balls.
Areas of Opportunity:
I think this is a solid first game. My first game was a square sprite going back and forth on the screen with a default Unity-blue background. I'd love to see more elements that combine the setting with the character, like segments with web-weaving, or even swinging and capturing bacteria-prey.
As for the art, it's simply a matter of increasing the contrast between solid ground and aesthetic. Scene lighting is one solution that might help, as it can blur the background a bit and bring the platform to focus.
I hope this feedback helps! Keep me updated on your progress.
Took a while to load on my old ah laptop. Decided to wait for 5 min and come back, and I'm SO glad I did! The intro at the beginning will make me think twice before eating anything (thanks for that), and the focus on intense reds really sells the atmosphere! I especially loved the paint brush vignette; I don't think I've ever seen that before in a game, and it fits perfectly! In the platforming part at the start, i kept on thinking the foreground was the main level because it was brightly colored and in focus, but after i got the hang of that it was very fun!
This was really fun and unique! I really enjoyed the different types of gameplay!
Great job. I'm really bad at platformers but I kept pushing myself so I could see more of the amazing art. I loved that you had those different game mode / mechanical variations which kept it interesting. I thought they were all pretty well done controls and pacing wise. I feel like you really captured that feeling of progressing through the body in the environments.
my feeling when I finally escaped after getting evaporated by some dudes plaque 15 times in a row:
The art is very immersive and the ambience gives me that creepy vibe! I love the idea playing as a spider as I try to escape out! The parkour got a little annoying at times, but overall its a really nice game!
What a cool game! The art is beautiful and I like the concept. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
This game has great art and ambience, but i felt that the platforming was frustrating and clunky due to the spiders rotation affecting the jump arc. Overall I do think the cool graphics somewhat make up for the gameplay issues though because they're just so cool.
I LOVE THIS. It's so visually beautiful and tells a story with both the visuals and gameplay.
I love spiders and I find it tiresome how often they are used as generic enemies in games and fiction. Your thumbnail made me worried for this spider's wellbeing, but I played to the end and got the last laugh :)
At first I was worried it would be too hard, but once I got more used to where my spider's collision box is I got into a groove. I enjoyed how the gameplay changed from level to level, inspired by the anatomy of the human body. Something our games have in common is that both contain duodenums. Duodena? I only just learned this word when I was painting anatomy for this jam, and I'm going to use my new word, dammit!
Awesome game.
