Interesting idea with the drawing your own platforms, kind of like frozone in the Incredibles. However  I don't really get what I'm supposed to do, or better said, I tried some random stuff for dozens of times until something worked but it doesn't really feel satisfying, more like gaming the system. Also often it doesn't work as I would expect, like for example often the blue bar at the top goes down but no path appears in the level. The cursor is also so big I wasn't sure at first where the drawing happens. I think it's at the top of the snowflakey thing.

The game is also light on the theme, the freezing doesn't really seem to affect gameplay, it's just the thing that happens when you die?

Overall I was a bit confused, maybe it could help if there's a tutorial level or maybe a frozen element already so you can see what you're supposed to do with the drawing mechanic.

One thing I liked is that you can respawn very fast, like super meatboy, so you can keep trying.

With some improvements or instructions could be a really nice game! One way or another nice job making a whole game in 9 days as a solo dev!

Also btw the description sounds like it was generated by chatGPT. It's a bit long to read and I think people just want a quick fast "how to play"! So I would suggest making it much shorter, and it's always nicer to write it yourself rather than let a robot do it ;)

Idk how the drawing is made, but it does not feel good. I liked the art en sounds. Btw, your webbuild on itch has 2 fullscreen buttons.

Took me a while to get the hang of the mechanics and I thought I was on a role, but alas I am stumped! Really cool concept time to draw the lines is very small, and for a small-minded individual like myself I couldn't figure the puzzle out, but the serotonins I received completing a level was worth it... My personal opinion (take it with a pinch of salt) is that if you continue to work on it add levels with the difficulty and the climb isn't so sudden. So in summary this was a good original submission into the jam so well done!

Thanks!

The mechanic itself is really cool, the implementation needed some tweaking. The meter depletes much too quickly for the average player. Also not sure if it was a bug, but the cursor was massive during gameplay and where I tried to draw the line was offset from the center of the cursor. Sometimes the paths just wouldn't show up.  Still a cool concept and I was able to complete with some trial and error and brute force of retries.

Could be easily expanded upon though with these fixes!

If there are times that depending on the search engine, I think it's because the cursor looks very big, but I don't know why 😅. In such a case the line is generated in the upper left corner.

Thanks for playing!!

yeah I ran into a similar issue a few years ago, I found if you cap your game to either 30 or 60 fps in engine, it suually helps avoid those issues for web builds! Thanks for sharing your game though, I always enjoy these type of draw pathway type of games.

Good idea for the mechanics for this game. Interestingly, you can get the lines to throw or move your frozen body. It did feel like I had to move the mouse extremely quickly though. Not sure if this is a bug.

Cool concept, loved that the drawed lines physically interacts with the world.

Although I don’t know if it was me only (Windows version) but the freezing meter went down like crazy fast with just one click, I had to try a bunch of times on the first level to get a line from one platform to the other in less than a second cause literally the meter went down to zero just that fast. Couldn’t get past the second one for the same reason.

Developer

The freezing meter decreases depending on the time you click the mouse and not by the route if that's what you mean. If you think that it goes too fast or that due to a bug it ends unnecessarily fast, it wouldn't hurt if you can attach a video, if not, let me know, I'll try to see if it's a wrong parameter. Thank you!

I played it again and got further now, but I got stuck on lvl4 this time, lol.

In the video you can see that sometimes I try to draw a line but it doesn’t appear, however it still consumes energy from the meter

Plus, I don’t know if that’s the default decrease meter speed or not

Hmmmm, I see...

I don't know if I'll give more energy. If I do I'll advise you 😀.

Thanks for the feedback!

Here is the solution for the error, when you exported the game you probably exported it in the compression format of brotli, itch.io doesn't accept that. Get into the unity editor and under project settings->player->publishing settings(Webgl) change the format from brotli to Gzip

Ahh, I'll do it when I get home.

Thank you so much!!!

it worked fine, thanks!

Fun concept! Pretty challenging, I actually had luck using the touchscreen on my laptop more than my mouse. Great work!

Great game!

I loved it, it was to hard, but so fun!!

Submitted(+1)

Woww, that was more engaging than I expected, I love it. It was super hard in a good way, it made me feel hyped and satisfied when I pulled off the shape. Congrats on your submission Brickle Pickle !

PD: There was a level (5 or 6) super hard for me, i couldn't figure out the strategy to win it.   (╥_╥)

Developer(+1)

Thanks 😁!

I'm glad you liked it. I'm sorry you couldn't complete it but if you enjoyed it that's the important thing.

Greetings 😁!

Hello,

I know, I spent a long time trying to solve it without getting anywhere, just download the pc version (.rar).

I'm sorry for the inconvenience 😅
