I’m on Linux and unfortunately I couldn’t get the game to start. In Firefox I get this error:
and in Chrome it gets stuck loading 1/2 and checking the console it says:
from love.js:9.
The Firefox issue is not surprising, that is related to the issue I linked about on the game page. The Chrome thing is weird though, thanks for letting me know.
Great idea and well executed game, congrats!
it was very fun there were some glitches you could exploit on certain maps with the gravity these were fun to find and i feel added another layer to the game
Gameplay: The controls were good. The gravity felt kinda weird at times. I liked how well you introduced new mechanics.
Graphics: The graphics weren't that good. They were too blurry.
Audio: Music fit well and the SFX's were good too.
Innovation: Pretty good.
Theme: You need to get to the moon.
Overall: Fun game!
Can you try (and comment) on my game?
Loved it! Really simple self-explanatory mechanic and yet so much fun! Cute pixel art graphics, music and nice difficulty progression.
Just to comment that some textures seem a bit blurry and that it would be cool to see in what level number you are.
Great submission! Well done!
I discovered after I submitted I actually could have improved the texture scaling so it wouldn’t be so blurry but unfortunately it was too late. Also, it does tell you the level number in the bottom left. You might have to scroll your browser down slightly to see it if you’re not scrolled far enough. Thanks for your feedback!
You are totally right about the level number, sorry I didn’t notice! Thanks for the explanation! Again, great job!
The game is really fun I died 100 times and kept playing. That's a good sign. The sound effects are nice. The death sound effect could have been done better though. The idea is original. You could add more gravity effects on the planets and have bigger ones that have more gravity effects (General Relativity). Overall, it was really fun to play.
The physics/math right now are kind of limited... it only applys gravity towards the "closest" planet, one at a time but it judges that based only on the center of the planet and not at all on how big it is or how close the surface is. I was thinking about trying to improve that and add some nuanced effects like you're suggesting. I also was considering adding a black hole or singularity entity as something that could apply gravity but NOT be something you can land on. Lots of possibilities for sure, I'm always open to suggestions for post jam improvements if you've got them. Thanks for the input!
This was a really fun core game mechanic to build a game around! I like how a few of them had multiple ways you could finish, like jumping at a specific point would let you bypass needing a key. I always enjoy when there are multiple ways to complete a level. All around a great game, and if you continue working on this and releasing more levels I'd love to return and play them!
Excellent work! Original and fun action puzzle game. The Ice Gauntlet is a great final level, tricky and fun. I liked the graphics for the planets too. Only improvements to this I can suggest to add would be to have a larger image file for the larger planet sprites to make them slightly less blocky, and to add more levels even though there are plenty to play already haha. The sound effects and music was nice too, and turrets and homing missiles were done great.
Cool idea, although some of the mechanics were a little bit jank, I still very much enjoyed this :)
Cool and original concept! Enjoyed playing it
That was a lot of fun! Very cool original concept for the gameplay. Reminded me a lot of Mario Galaxy. Very good work executing on the physics. I loved slingshotting as a strategy. And the difficulty curve was very well thought-out. Great level design.
Nice- well executed, catch tune, cute graphics, tight controls- I had a lot of fun making my way through the levels :)
