The grappling mechanic is just so fun to play around with, though it took me a while to work out that you could actually retract the cable. For a while I was thinking that would make it much better, then I realised it already existed.
The fast pace  keeps you constantly on the lookout, so diving off a platform and throwing out your grapple always feels dangerous, yet fun. Great work.

It was very nice, though the controls were a bit slippery and I found myself spending most of the time hooking stuff trying to keep from falling off. If there was a way to ensure you stuck to the platform you were on until youre ready to jump off that would be pretty nice. The graphics are an obvious standout among all the entries

Nice game, fun to play and control. Maybe it's planned for future levels, but the style can really go along with a more varied pallette, maybe some colorful space trash thing that can help determine at a glance where you are in the level? The dash attack could be limited when on small platforms, it's a bit annoing going over the edge and losing the scrap you collected, I found myself dashing at the platform tho avoid this.
I'm nitpicking a bit only because this is already a great game, it feel mostly well rounded and polished, great work!

What a solid entry! The gamefeel is amazing.

However, I have some feedbacks for you :D !

  • I'm not a huge fan on the dash every time you slice, it make me fall of the platform, every time :D.
  • More air control would be great. It lacks a little bit polish to be perfect (but it's already very good).
  • And the rest have been already said by my fellow companions below :)

Good luck for the full version of it, I'll definitively look to it in the futur :)

(Oh and the audio is pretty damn good :))

This game was really fun! It took a little bit to get used to the controls - would love to see a tutorial. The graphics were really good. The movement based attacks and hook shot was really nice. It was hard to get to the enemies - some level design (at lest in the beginning) to help find/get to enemies would be really helpful!

The coolest I've played yet. I really like the character model. This could well pass for a demo of a PS2/Gamecube era game. Zipping around always feels good, but getting to the platforms was hard. The character felt "slippery", haha. A bit short and the main objective is a little boring for my tastes, but either way a great game.

Very cool.  I loved the graphics and multiple control options.  The mouse and keyboard seemed to work well.  I did have a little trouble landing on the platforms once I was airborne, but I think that was intended.  Nice work.

If you like 2D platformers, you might like to try our game.

Really good game, only thing I missed is the ability to swing the sword while flying. Or a gun:D

I'm liking the art style which feels like a 3D interpretation of the pixel art style that itch.io is known for brought into the next dimension. Good job!

great and addictive gameplay, the camera is a little too sensitive but its really addictive and fun to play!

Favourite game of the jam I've played, really hope you expand it to a full game.

Loved the low poly+pixel art textures, the character is badass and the look of the game as you fly around is awesome.

I kind of never wanted to land, especially because I just missed the platforms a lot, once I worked out you could reel in with the jump button it was a bit easier to control.

The slash never felt great to me, would have liked a lock on attack or even a gun or something instead.

super polished and heaps of fun.

This game is incredibly fun and well polished. Love the art and animations are super clean. Really well done!

Swinging around is really fun! The visuals and audio are fantastic, as was the level layout. I really liked dropping all the way down and then hooking myself all the way up top.

Mid-air control was a bit hard for me and I never really got used to it even after several deaths. I really liked being able to jump far and long, but the platforms were small and I also needed finer control to land on them which I wasn't able to get. The slashing dash also threw me off platforms unexpectedly but thankfully the swinging mechanic takes care of that problem.

Overall great game! Would be even more awesome after some movement tweaks, would love to give it another try in the future.

Really enjoyed the mechanics of this game. Great job!

Really impressive, like the style, though I'm playing on a MacBook so right-click eluded me! Sad times.

I liked a lot about this game. It was easy to get into, very fun, had a unique and refreshing look and very cool gameplay. Great job.

My one critique that made me stop playing eventually was a lack of golden path. Not that it had to be linear, but because everything is hook-able, I had no idea where to go to collect anything or how to accomplish my objective.  I like that everything is hook-able (it saved my butt a lot and made for great fast-paced momentum) but consider maybe a different color for objects that are targets or goals for the player.

And a minor point, I thought the momentum from a slash attack was too powerful. It was hard to predict and carried me over the edge almost every time.

Otherwise, awesome game. I really enjoyed it. Congrats.

It has very fun, easy to understand gameplay, and a very interesting artstyle! That's all I need in a game jam game and it has it! Well done!

The Speed of the game is awesome! Great gameplay and nice for speedruns.

Great game! Art style is great, and movement feels awesome. Can't believe you guys did a procedurally generated game for a jam. Good stuff

The art style is awesome and I love it. However, I played the web version, and experienced some framerate issues with increased player and camera movement. The movement is very satisfying, but I do wish that the player only moved forward with the sword slash when in mid-air as it makes combat a bother. Swinging around like Spiderman is immensely satisfying. I would probably buy this if it was a 5-10 dollar game on steam or consoles with more levels. AWESOME! 5/5

Thanks so much! Yeah, it's definitely a bit smoother when downloaded. Before itch was not showing it with the "play in browser" filter if I had the download enabled, which I feel is important to get people to try. I've enabled the download again though. I agree, the slashing and combat were left a little unpolished in the end but I'm glad you enjoyed the movement!
