Wow! Such an engaging game!
I had lots of fun playing the game. I love the art, the easy to grasp but hard to master controls, the music and the orbiting and shoot mechanic, very innovative and good match with the theme.
Just as a minor comment, in my view it would be great to have a custom mouse pointer, something easier to spot rather than the default one. When there are many things in the screen I lost track a bit.
I get quite easily to Neptune, I could’n beat it yet though, it’s a tough cookie!
Great submission! Really well done!
The orbit mechanic was really cool. I only wish the game was a little more fast-paced. It was a lot of fun catching a lot of bullets in orbit and shooting back a whole mess of them.
A very interesting twist (pun intended) on bullet hell, I really enjoyed it. The story at the beginning was hilarious. The graphics and audio suited the game very well.
Only con for me was it was a bit hard to judge when you can catch a bullet in your orbit and when you get hit but I guess I would have gotten used to it the more I played.
Overall Great Game!
A deceptively simple game with a hilarious premise. It took some time getting used to the orbit-and-shoot mechanic, but it was pulled off very well! I do wish there was a way to regain health, unless that was intentional. Fantastic game!
Excellent game. Very cool interpretation of the theme and a really great twist on a well trod genre. I especially love the sound design and how it actually helps you play.
Cool game! I'm not that good at bullet hells, so I couldn't reach really far, but there's good variety of enemies, the main mechanic is interesting, and the music and sound effects feel right.
"Bad news pluto" lol.
It's pretty challenging, but fun to play. I had some issues with understanding how to attack enemies, but once I got it it was really solid game.
Simple and effective, the dream of any game jammer. Good idea, simple to make and polish, easy for the player to pickup and play. Very little to complain here, no design element stood out as badly implemented or unpolished. The way you fight back is, in my opinion, the highlight of game as it is innovative, different and maybe the most important of all, fun. An easy 5 stars in gameplay for you, well deserved! The only "bad" thing I can force myself to find is to say that it has very little content, which is amazing seeing how you have quite a big of different enemies shooting in very different patterns. But variety can be achieved in many different ways, most of which involve having more than a month to make the game. Congratulations, well done!
The intro animations and story are hilarious, so good! Great gameplay mechanic. I did think the hitbox felt inconsistent at times, sometimes I wouldn't grab a bullet when it appeared very close, and this could cause bullets to hit me that I thought I should have grabbed. Also, the dash hardly moved my character at all for some reason? Perhaps my browser isn't playing nicely there. Timing the release of the orbiting shots was really fun and added a lot to an already interesting mechanic. Really fun concept and premise, thanks for making it!
Super fun! I played for 45 minutes lol. g Got to level 10. The art is great.
I encountered a bug with the audio where it started playing several sounds on top of eachother and started clipping. got really loud and echoed.
I also think the orbit mechanic needs some work. I still don't fully understand why sometimes I grab a ball and sometimes it flies right past me even tho im the same distance from them.
Nice mechanic. Art is really nice, especially in the intro. Wish I had a few more lives, is there a mechanic to regen health? Really nice game!
Great game! Very innovative meachic, love it!
Amazing game! I love it
Very fun to play and a really interesting game mechanic with the orbiting bullets!
It's like playing Burnout - but going for near-misses with bullets instead of cars ;p
Getting so close to the shots whilst also thinking about avoiding them makes for some addictive gameplay :)
Very cool mechanic! I like the funny story of the game and the music fits well. Would be cool to have some kind of indicator for the area around you where your gravity pulls in bullets.
This was pretty fun! Great idea! I didn't check, but this might be more fun with gamepad support. Thanks for also supporting arrow keys for lefties!
Very cool turn of events :D
Cool idea to use enemy bullets! Nice graphics, so stylish! Good job!
Loved this mechanism! This will surely be addictive and fun to play. I do think the magnet range for grabbing the bullets are a little bit narrow and you have to really get close to collect bullets. Sometimes you think it would snap to you but it won’t. Also walking speed personally think is a bit too slow. but I feel that it is a design decision.
Overall loved the game, great work!
Thanks very much for the feedback! Under the jam rules I was allowed to make an update to fix the slow movespeed issue on slower comps (some ppl were moving slower than bullets making the game unplayable) and maybe thats what happened here. Assuming you ran into a similar issue it should play much better now!
That indeed has made the game a lot more fast pacing and intense. I saw people talking about bosses in later levels but I was not able to get that far sadly. Would you consider shooting at rocks might have a chance of spawning health recovery pieces?
i have many ideas for powerups and improved runs planned for after the jam and extra HP drops during the run will be a part of that for sure
Excellent! I will be keeping an eye on your later releases.
Haha I love the concept of a bullet hell where you actually need to stay close to the bullets in order to play the game, very smart! Great job!
