Super cool, I love card games, and this one is especially entertaining. Very good job! ^^ Also, I'm glad to see that someone else has given this interpretation to the theme, haha

This game is super fun once you get the hang of it. The difficulty is at a good level, although I would prefer not to have to play through the whole game again if I die... Aside from that, winning can feel very satisfying, especially with some scale and card placements.
This is the perfect kind of card game for these gamejams I think. It's quick to learn and interesting enough to keep me hooked for a while, nice!
overall very fun! on my first playthrough I got steam rolled by the first fight! but on the second play through once I understood more of the dragons abilities I beat the first fight only to get steamrolled again by the second fight! on my third play though I easily beat the first fight and managed to win the second fight as I got better at positioning my dragons to avoid the enemy dragons being able to hit multiple of my dragons and better planning on the board but once again I got steam rolled by the third fight! continuing to try several more times I still haven't managed to beat the king! I enjoy the decision making aspect of deciding if I scale up one dragon to take up more of the board and be harder to kill or spread out my dragons to overwhelm the board!
I think you have a very unique idea and enjoyed playing, however my note of feedback would be on maybe having another mechanic on how you get energy for the player similar to the sparkle dragon the ai gets. having my energy coming just from controlling more of the board feels very "win more", if I'm doing well I don't really need more energy and if I'm doing poorly there is no chance I can make a come back even with clever play.
Thank you for playing and for leaving feedback!
Yeah, in hindsight it's probably not a great idea to tie energy gain to presence on board. The player with more cards on board is already leading and there's no need to give them additional bonuses... I think that design flaw will serve as a lesson for my future games.
I like it. Sadly safari on Mac crashes the game after a while. (Godot web exports hate mac)
If you export a Mac version, I'll give it another go.
Thank you for your feedback.
I tried exporting to Mac and uploaded it here, but to be honest, I can't test it right now because I don't have a Mac machine and also I don't have notarization enabled. 😅 Sorry for that.
Please let me know if Mac version works or not. If it doesn't, I'll take it down not to mislead anyone.
Thanks for playing!
I agree I could have done a better interactive tutorial describing game's concepts better. For example, actually showing where the player needs to click to scale a card would be great. Right now, all tutorials are just text.
Thanks for your feedback, next time I'll pay more attention to user experience especially when making new and potentially unintuitive game mechanics.
Impressive game...
I really like card games and it is very unique and original.
The UI bugged a little, but it was readable and clear.
Good difficulty and stuff. Good job!
This is very impressive. I love your UI design, very clear and readable but also fun to look at. I love the dialogue sfx (and the writing!). I feel like card games are hard to design but this felt easy to understand, strategic, and very fun. Also great variety of cards, nothing felt redundant.
Some additional music tracks could add a bit more atmosphere but the track you used is fun.
