The game seems to contain a lot of content, and the instructions are good, but quite lengthy. I wish I had more time to explore the game, because it looks interesting, but I have no idea of what I’m doing. I think it requires some time to get used to the management of it all. The music is fitting, and you’ve been able to do a lot in a short amount of time. Good job!
Pretty solid management game, though quite confusing at start on what the heck does everything do and why something doesn't work.
As many others, a tutorial or more in depth explanation would be nice.
The planet information panel is blinking to me, which makes it very difficult to read it. I like a lot management games. One of the things that makes this kind of game enjoyable to me is being able to feel the impact of my decisions, either by graphics or directly in the game play. I felt that the expansion to other planets and the amount of connections between them gave me a little bit of that but at the same time I feel it needs a little bit more time to improve (as one could expect from a game developed in 2 weeks). Very ambitious :)
The UI didn't work on my resolution so I wasn't able to play it properly :( It's a shame because it looks really cool, and seems to be a game right up my alley. I won't be rating this, as I think my experience playing won't be appropriate to how the actual game is.
Well done making this anyways, it seem like a really cool game !
Nice game. Didn't play long enough to explore more due to my FPS is 9~11, every moment is taking a while. I'm afraid my browser would crash. Looking at that docs really shows you put good effort in the making. Well done.
I'm not familiar with resource management games, so it took me a little time to understand what I should do; the tutorial helps. The gameplay was clean and I liked the mood that the music puts. I had some problem with the UI : some times, the panel of information about the planet appear an disappear quickly.
Nice game!
Interesting, I can certainly see a lot of work was put into it, just from looking at 12 page document that explains how to play :) But even after reading the instructions, I couldn’t fully understand the game mechanics: most of the times, new route just wouldn’t work (I shift+click but nothing happens, no error message either), or an already established route would suddenly disappear. It could definitely use some tutorial to gradually introduce all these concepts.
Nice simulation! It took me a while for learning it, a tutorial is recommended for games like this, but I think time unfortunately didn’t make that happen. Congratulations for your innovative game, team!
Cool game but pretty complex. It took me quite a while to understand it. Maybe an explanation directly in the game or a tutorial level would have helped. The UI is not very user friendly. It is quite hard to get a quick overview of what the input and output goods are of a planet. Maybe symbols would have helped.
I am pretty impressed what you could achieve in two weeks! Congratulations.
Thanks for giving the game a play! I wanted to do an interactive tutorial but I ran out of time so I had to settle for an instruction manual instead. As for getting a quick overview of what the input/outputs are, our hope was that since each planet is coded with a distinct symbol, over enough playthroughs the player would get familiar enough to memorize which symbols corresponded to which inputs and outputs. But you are right that there should probably have been a table of planet input/outputs for reference. I'll see if I can add that to the game page.
Interesting game, I love the concept.
Thanks for playing!
It took me quite a while to understand the mechanics. The art and music is good which hooked me up . The UI needs some polishing and it would be easier if the mechanics was explained in the game one at a time(instead of google docs).
Thanks for the feedback! I was originally planning to do an interactive tutorial but I just didn't have enough time at the end. I used AI to generate the cover image (just like you did for your game =D). Can you explain how the UI could have been improved? I'm always open to suggestions :)
Seems pretty interesting, but, for some reason, I cannot read the instructions, the image is compresed to half of the screen size and letters turn unreadables.
Can you upload the instructions as a comment in the meantime?
I really, really want to play it, because it seems a time/resource management game and it that's true, those are my favorites.
Cool sounds and atmosphere.
Hey thanks for trying out the game! You can use this link to access the instruction manual: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1181SyA1fGZq1bLH1zq6Fl6FNAygFVi93-yeGj4_S...
I've also included this link in the game page now for anyone else who wants to view it.
I can promise that it is a time/resource management game so I hope you will have a lot of fun with it!
