I started young and I think that JS is very easy. Use the Canvas technology to get started then upgrade to some framework like Three.js. Your best resource is Mozilla for technical stuff, it's very underrated. I strongly recommend to avoid game engines, even though it's a bit harder in the first couple of months without a game engine, in a few months you'll be very efficient

Just be sure that you have license to use them

You may upload a desktop build (.exe), but you must provide a web build. But the desktop builds almost never get downloaded as this is a jam focused on web technology and not desktop game engines.

Cool game! The graphics and ragdoll physics are great! But the controls are kinda awkward, maybe show where the mouse is to help aiming? Anyway cool game! BTW, it sometimes gets laggy, even on my RTX 3060 laptop...

Wow, those graphics are amazing for a jam this short! The music and sfx go very well together!

Thanks for the encouragement, it really keeps me motivated! I'm sorry to hear that, I was rushing to get it working and didn't have enough time to playtest... It's my first time making a game  with physics, so I'm still learning!

Thanks! I know, it can be quite challenging at times (just kidding really challenging), but it is not that hard when you make your own engine from the (rather massive) codebase I have :)

Thanks!

Thanks for the encouragement, it keeps me motivated! I'm sorry for the bugs, it's my first ever time to use the word "physics" :)

Thanks! As for the controls, you just tilt it one side and then rapidly switch to the other, like a catapult.

Wow, those graphics are really cool! Love the brickout idea!

Wow, amazing game! The pixel art is very nice and goes well with the audio! It'd be nice to see it continued, with more diversity (more shapes at different speeds)! Though when you start the game, the - Click to play - text really breaks the immersion. The graphics are super well themed and retro and the color pallette changer is really nice, just like an original GameBoy. But when you die it has a terrible transition, it would be nice to see it refresh the screen from top to down and no just switch so fast. For a 48-hour game and a first game, it really exceeded my expectation! Good luck on your GameDev journey! This was the best game I saw for now!

Cool take on Tetris!

Nice take on  chess! Though the engine is super silly (not capturing my queen), it was a fun take! You could try using brute force to go through a few iterations of all the possible moves and then evaluate them by summing up the piece's value. Cool graphics!

That food game looks great! BTW, sushi fan! Great game! BTW, Windows firewall keeps spamming me that the program wants to access the network, is it a bug?

The music and graphics go perfect toghether, great game! The crow is really cute even if it's being a bad boy stealing crops :)

Cool game!

Cool idea, love the graphics!

Cool dungeon game!

Cool game, interesting idea!

Cool game!

Poor ChatGPT, he must be so tired! Great game!

LOL, judging games must be hard. Great game!

Love the graphics!

My high score is 12, poor mister skiny legs! Great game!

Amazing graphics! Neat idea, reminds me of WarioWare. BTW, I got the fetch game 5 times in a row, maybe add code to make a different one each time.

Cool idea! Recipe of success = go in circles :)

Cool game, what did you code it in?

Man,  the graphics are rad! BTW, Dracula's castle doesn't look like that :)

The graphics are amazing! Wish I'd have more minions to choose from though... And at level like, 7 I just got 3 bandits and got destroyed 3 seconds later... Anyway, amazing game, keep it up

Thanks for the encouragement, it really keeps me motivated! I'm a total noob when it comes to game physics, I think I set the friction way too low so it never stops rolling... Thanks for the feeedback!

Ok, I thought people would think it's hard

Thanks! And yes, I will be improving the camera in my future games :)

Do you mean the camera points away from the player or the field of view is small?  Thanks for the encouragement, it really motivates me!

Big fan of the simple and abstract graphics! Cool game. But the player is constantly shaking up and down in the air... But how in the world did you manage to submit it 2 seconds before the deadline???

Wooow! The graphcis are amazing! It reminds me of old CGA graphics and Duke Nukem! Sick color pallete. Good job, keep up the good work!

My ship got zapped in the first tower:) Great game, love the graphics!

Sick graphics! The game idea is cool, like the sfx! Though the tutorial could be more responsive...

Poor ChatGPT he must be so tired answering us! Great game, good job! Really appreciate the use of JavaScript! Wait a sec, AI isn't allowed! :)

Amazing graphics! Really feels like windows 3.1 but not so 3.1 :)! Nice music! But I can't find the password... I'm a terrible hacker, I prefer being a security guy :)
