Nice job, probably the most playable game in the jam I've played so far. Core game loop is tight and fairly easy to master.

Not sure if there is an end to the game other than death - made it through at least 10 rooms with a score of 69k+ ?

Good job!

Developer

Yup its procedural generated each time and there is a boss room where a big snake spawns and its basically bullet hell for a while until you kill him. Thanks for playing it man. Glad to hear you liked it.

Super fun! Movement felt smooth and I love all of the visual and sound effects. I particularly liked the built-in transitions between rooms. With all of the action going on, sometimes the gold pickups blended into the background and were hard to see. Other than that, awesome work! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback, appreciate it.

I really like the VFX and the music! Really adds to the ambience. I also like how the gold power-ups could be power-downs. Really just the luck of the draw. Great job sticking to the theme! ;)

Developer

Thanks for playing, great live stream

I love the the shooting visual effects and music (which is not only nice to listen to, but also doesnt get bored quickly, which is rare in games where one track is looped).

I see that you aproach to the theme was similar to my thinking - so powerups that are sometimes good and sometimes bad. My problem with this solution when the collectibles are random is that as a player I have no way of predicting or at least suspecting what may be behind it. In this sense, I am actually collecting everything. What would be interesting for me is if the content was dependent on something. Even the simple thing that, for example, there are two colors of collectibles - and in one room yellow is good and in another it is bad. So at the beginning of a given wave, I have to check by trial and error which is which.

But that's not a complaint, I liked the game very much. Rather, I am throwing it as a topic for discussion and consideration.

PS: Great work with streaming!

Thanks for playing, Thats actually a really neat idea that would have definitely worked for it.

Dudeeeee! Awesome Top Down Shooter!

I thouhgt The boss will never die but it's great to kill it.

It took me a while to realize that the yellow glowing thing could be good, the first one I grab slows me down, so I went through almost the hole level without power ups.

Awesome game!

Developer

Awesome thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah! Very funny and colorful! Good job! I think you need an improve of your sound effects maybe. Explosions, shoot and player movement for example.

Developer(+1)

Yeah i just used a random sound generator for them so they are pretty basic. Thanks for playing

Really a really great game!! Good job!! I would like to have a volume bar to set it as I wanted, but I really enjoyed it!

Developer

An adjustable settings menu was planned but I just didnt have the time. If I continue with the game that will absolutely be added. Thanks a lot for playing I really appreciate it.

This game is really fun and addictive!
When the screen is full of bullets it seems  like fireworks show!

Good job!

Developer

Yeah that kind of happened by accident and even the sounds stacking a few times sounds like the pop of fireworks so i kept it lol

Furious Bullet Hell Action!!  Very nicely done!

Impressive effort for a Game Jam, and i really liked your Music

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I bought 1BitDragon for the jam to help me make music and I have to give them huge props, it was very easy to do for a first time digital music creator (i do play instruments though so im sure that helped)

great game! controls are nice and I like the way you implement the theme. are you planning to continue developing this game? good job!

Developer

I think I most likely will continue it or possibly even start it over and code it with better structure. But I had a lot of fun with it so most likely I will and use some nice assets for it for the models.

A very cool and well balanced shooter! Great game!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the kind words

Funny game with great music.

I have a similar go on the theme :)

Developer

Pretty cool game. Polish is great and controls feel really nice. The 'bad' 3d models lend to the charm, too. I got a little frustrated when powerups would spawn right on you and you'd lose everything. Or do powerups time out after a bit? Either way, i'd suddenly be powered down after actively avoiding powerups.

Also really wish machine gun and shotgun powerups stacked!

Great job on this. Feels great, looks great, plays great. :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah the powerups time out actually, I intended to make a countdown timer or some type of notification when it was about to expire but it was on the list of things cut before i submitted. Some form of notification for that would have been nice.

Awesome game, very polished, I love the fights, love the screenshake, I didnt encounter any bugs,  it suits the theme very well, you have an introductions and a menu screen that even tells you the controls, its honestly good stuff, no criticism at all from me!

Developer(+1)

Awesome to hear, thanks a lot Underdog

Developer(+1)

Great to hear, thanks for playing

I have a lot of fun playing this. Love how both the graphic and the story is so unserious.

Developer

Yeah I tend to not make very serious games for jams so stuck with that. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks a lot for playing

everything was escalating so fast and I absolutely loved it. after a certain point my brain cells were committing suicide lol.

Very fun game, as I expected from an OG .

Off the topic, I saw your stream and I just have to say. awesome beard mate. lol

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, yeah its a pretty mighty beard lol. Been working on it for a while.

Thanks for watching the stream. I felt pretty comfortable streaming which is surprising i expected to get a lot of anxiety and be nervous but was not so I will try to do a lot more and will try to get to your game as well I added it to the list.

Submitted(+1)

Yea I did get the chill vibe from you lol, and thanks I would be honored.

A really fun game!!  I love the visuals!!  Will play more for sure!

Developer

Great game play, really enjoyed it.

Yes it could have more variety of enemies, yes it could have different room layouts... but for me that doesn't really matter... it was great fun and did exactly what I wanted from that type of game.

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Glad to hear, More rooms, enemy types and weapon types were definitely planned but had to cut it all to complete something. I have a lot more ideas for all of those though so I will most likely continue on or start the game over with a better foundation and make it more awesome :P
