Phew, had a double-click focus issue there for a minute and nearly stopped playing. I'm glad I didn't! Very fun, beautiful and just great audio. The artwork must have taken quite awhile, especially for all the animated poses. Very simple controls and relaxing atmosphere. Well done!

Wow! Well written. I was really pulled into the mind set of The Hermit in particular. I chuckled too when I saw the Enhanced Training Dummies. Probably my biggest wish was that there was some audio feedback after attacks. Otherwise, the music was a stand-out. Nice work!

Fantastic stuff. Impressively atmospheric. Great control of the camera. Excellent timing and use of audio like footsteps, echo and music. My personal favorite was the great menu system that felt like a real terminal. Felt very polished. Congrats on a super solid entry!

Really bright and colorful! create looking game and liked the UI elements when fighting the slimes! Keep up the good work!

Fantastic use of materials and a simple hook that was enough to see it to the end. Loved the integration of sound effects into the visuals. Very trippy and oddly satisfying conclusion. Well done!

Great Music, Great and Great Gameplay! I really got into this and ended up with a score of 2443. Stage 3 was really brutal with those huge fast moving ghosts! lolz. Really enjoyed the strategy of slow forward but fast backward. Tons of fun! Well done!

Absolutely Agree! If I had more time I would have added Sound Effects, Music and an actually Quit button. xD Thank you for the kind words and I will definitely include all of those next Jam!!!

Thank you so much for trying the game! Because I didnt finish it properly I thought I would just hide out and let it slide into obscurity. But Im glad you could still squeeze some fun out of it. :-D

That you so much for the comment! Unfortunately I just ran out of time. I was learning a lot about UMG payloads, Widget integration and general Unreal UI functionality through the C++ library during the Jam and didn't make it to the end of the original core concept. The next step was the build an AI Castle opponent that you could attack with your Own Castle's Population and Power. And then obviously Sound Effects, Music, Menus and more card abilities. Still it was a fantastic learning experience and I'm glad my core idea was shining through the rough there somewhere. It will be invaluable in the next Jam. :-D

Really nicely done! Probably the most unique and on-point melding of them and game-play I've seen this Jam. I especially enjoyed the music and the doggies! Keep up the great work! :-)

Really great merge of Idle gameplay and city-building. Super impressed. Buil the Church and was only hoping for more things to build! Keep up the great work. :-D

Really well done! I absoultely loved the art-style and perspective for a "2D" game. It felt really good sliding forward and back on the Y axis. The puzzles were good fun and the jumping felt surprisingly smooth for the awesomely styalised character. I also really enjoyed the way you delivered the story. It was left up in the air but I could really feel the emotional intent; all high-lighted by a ponient soundtrack. Fantastic Work! :-D

Ty so much Gasterbuzzer. Thats really kind of you. I will definitelty be doing more from now on!!! :-D

Thanks for playing Matan! I will be sure to make more brain teasers for you next time as well. :-)

Ty Barbetta,

The visuals were a first-time effort so was super happy with how they turned out. I was definitely pla- testing predominantly on gamepad and now feel bad about not getting the wallslide feeling better on keyboard. Definiely will improve that for next time. I was learning a lot this Jam so did'nt have much time left for combat, etc, so decided to base everyting around the wall-jumping. Thank you so much for the feed-back, really appreciate it, :-D

Absolutely fantastic work! I want to check out the RPG Maker after trying this. Great story-telling and really enjoyed the world-building! Half an hour disappeared in the blink of an eye! Keep up the great work.

Really well done! The pick up after you die mechanic was fantastic! Possibly the most innovative one Ive seen yet this Jam! The cloud fade really stood out as well. Great effort!

I cant believe I just played that in a jam! I was flying around Brazil!!! Ive never been one for flying simulators, but after that I want to give them another chance! Thank you! :-D

Very interesting take on Cludeo. Great to see a board game like Jam entry! I got the killer on my first try, was super happy. :-)

Very cute affects and music. Not sure if it was intentional but I think the Jump on the controller was 5 times higher than the keyboard jump? Great fun and felt like a great platformer. Keep up the great work!

Great stuff! Definitey an inovative use of the theme and definitely the first time Ive heard a voice this game jam! Really brought some great lighting ane visuals toa cube character. Super impressed! Keep up the great work!

Holy cow! Great work. I was so glad you had controller support, but i think you forgot the right stick? xD Plus, I think it keeps resetting at the end of the first level? Otherwise, so much fun! You captured the soul of Fall Gus perfectly, And I was super impressed with the character model itself! Well done. Definitely wanted more!!! :-D

Really well done! Great little game. Very smart thematic choices woven into the gameplay. Really impressed. Especially loved feeling more free to jump with every chain unlocked! My only wish is that I could jump upwards through platforms. Otherwise, spot on! Keep up the great work!

Appreciate all the detailed feed-back! One cheat for some of those tricky parkour jumps is the just drop off a platform before doing the basic jump. I really like games where you can figure out ways to capitilize on the mechanics. I like having platforms with greater risk, because they yield greater rewards. I definitely need to continue developing the wall-jump system so that there is no feeling of delay and it feels more forgiving. Youre also right about the background music too. I should have included a free piece of music, but I really wanted everything included in the game to be made my myself.

Thank you again for the feedback and I will keep it in mind for the next Jam! :-D

I'm so glad that you could enjoy the jumping! Will definitely include it in my next game as well. :-D

Yeah, I definitely got stuck using C++ with Unreal Engine's Paper 2D system several times. But have learned a lot about howq to use it now thankfully! Thank you for the complement about the aesthetics. :-D

Well, youre definitely good as Resuorce management games!! :-D

As soon as I saw the theme, I knew the message that I wanted to tell. Im really aprpeciative that you took something from it. Thank you for playing. :-)

Absolutely stellar visuals and music! I was really drawn into the theme of it all. Really well done! :-D

Been forever since I played a resource gatherer. Very atmospheric and very fun! No major complaints, it all worked together quite well and i was especially appreciative of the volume settings. Keep up the great work!

Was really impressed when I realized there was a ghost mechanic involved. That must have taken some research. You definitely put some thought into how the puzzles should unfold and they were fun to solve. Really enjoyed the visual aesthetic, it lead to a good pairing with the music.

Id recommend having a way to skip to the next character rather than wait for awhile and killing yourself to make the next character accessible. The character movement felt a little stiff and having unreachable platforms felt a little frustrating. I also tried the game on my controller. It was great to see the movement was implemented, but I think you forgot the jump.

Well done overall!

Would love some more feedback! Ty! Will definitely partake! https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2022/rate/15534

Ty so much Ric! I would have loved to include combat, but knew it would be out of scope with everything else I had to learn first. Will definitely include combat in my next metroidvania!! Ty!!!  :-D

Thank you so much for playing! It certainly was my first solo Game Jam, but have made a card game in Unity previously. It was an intense 10 days learning about Pixel Art, animation, wall-jumping, interactive scene elements, level design, etc. It was also my first Unreal Game so I think it must have VR settings in there someone I needed to disable. Will be on the look out for that next Jam. Ty so much for letting me know!!! :-)

Solid little puzzles and a ton of fun. For those waffles... Toasted is only the beginning!!! Keep up the great work! :-D

Nice work guys!!! You had me at Puppy Piles! Made it through and earned my wings. The music was particularly atmospheric. Really well done. :-)

Nicely done! Was blown away with the quality of everything, from visuals to variety of choices. Short and sweet (cookies). :-)

Great work! Really atmospheric, great little engaging story, very enjoyable movement and felt very satisfying! Keep up the great work!

Ty so much! Really glad you enjoyed it. :-D
