Pretty fun game. I like the idea of boosts after each death.
Definitely looks like with more time and variety on the boosts acquired, it could get more fun!
The camera perspective made it a bit hard to know where the enemy attacks would land or where to stand to hit the enemies with the shots. It would be nice to add a signal on the ground where the enemy attacks would land (like a red cross).
Good job!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Definitely more we wanted to add, but ran out of time.
Interesting game. I might have missed it, but it seemed the only way to move to the next level or start was to use the mouse?
Yep! I did not have time to change that. Would have been nice to use space (or any key really) instead.
Great job!
I really, really like the idea of powering up the player if they fail, and powering up the enemy if the player succeeds. Regarless of any individual player's skill, it keeps it interesting. It might be interesting to use this mechanism in all kinds of games.
If I were to give advice, it would be to maybe keep the graphics a little simpler? Some of it looks great and modern, some of it looks good but retro, and some of it is the default 3d shapes. Any of these are fine, but it might be better (and easier for you!) to choose one.
Anyway, great job!
Trying to do the art myself, still learning the different aspects of modeling, shaders, and particle systems. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
That was funnier that expected. It reminded me "My Friend Pedro" :)
The only drawback I could see is that it is a bit hard to see where the bullets are going to shoot.
Keep it up!
Thanks Kaelmix!
Really nice idea mate. The gun shots correlated with the movement are a great idea! Would improve on the graphics and make it a little bit more forgiving to die, but a great idea! Congrats!
Thank you!
Nice Game! My favourite thing was to kill 2 enemies with one jump, when they are in opposite sides of the screen, it felt as we were so agile :-D One little thing is to also have SFX and VFX when the enemies are hit but do not die (or even a lifebar), because I didn't know if they were shot or not. Congrats for the interesting idea!
Great Idea! Thank you for your feedback.
I liked the idea but it didn't shoot straight for me. and I couldn't know where the bombs are going to drop. other than that it was a good game
Thank you Soheilk, there is an issue with the players bullets not always going perfectly straight, I just pretend he isn't 100% accurate all the time =)
The bombs destinations are definitely not as clear as they ought to be.
Thanks for playing!
Good job on the game loop. I liked it overall but I wish there was some ui. And maybe a little bit more change through the game. Could be developed into a mobile game I think, I would play it for passing some time.
I also wish there was some UI haha. Time flies by too fast sometimes.
Thank you for the feedback.
Hi, I noticed your submission is missing source folders. Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game. In your case, your source is missing the Packages and ProjectSettings folders. Here is an example of what your source should look like: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning
Hi Yang, should be good to go now. Sorry about that!
Yup, it looks good now :)
This is a fantastic game, yet it leaves me feeling unfinished. Some things need to be improved, and I'm not sure what to do with this game. The mechanics, on the other hand, are quite interesting. The animations of the robots are excellent. You guys performed an excellent job, by the way.
Thank you Parven! There are certainly aspects to be improved on!
This is a really interesting mechanic, not sure if its original but I haven't seen it before. More UI work is needed so I can feel more like I'm progressing but this stands out as very innovative.
Thanks for playing! We appreciate the feedback!
Great submission all around. I enjoyed playing, although it would have been nice to have an idea of which wave of enemies I was on. Good animations and smooth gameplay. Nice job!
Thank you Tele!
Our artist mentioned the same thing after we submitted! Just something that slipped past us.
Thanks for the feedback! There were definitely some improvements that needed to be made but started running out of time. We appreciate you taking the time to play it!
I love it, great job guys!
Also, the music matches it really well :D
Edit: Do the bullets spawn differently/random? every few shots there's one that does not reach the targets when moving horizontally (to the right, most of the times).
Hey CS, thank you! We were a little hard on our music guy to really fit the theme of the game haha. Glad it paid off!
Yes, there are a few specific jumps where they don't always line up well. It was something we had worked out well with the earlier model but using the new one messed it up and we did not have time to fix it up.
On second thought, it is NOT a bug but a FEATURE. The player is doing flips, dodging stuff over lava. He can't be 100% accurate right? ;)
Indeed hahaha!
Seriously though, good job :D
