The game design is very cool! The way you have to kill and then guide the soul is a nice mechanic. Good job!

awesome game! the concept is interesting , the gameplay is fun and challenging, especially switching between worlds, this has a good replay value! congratulations! keep it up!

Super fun idea. The idea of managing the underworld while fighting everyone off makes for some frantic exciting play

Oh, man what a great concept! The implementation was also great. I think I suck at the game but had a lot of fun nonetheless! Look and feel is very cohesive as-well. And boy, I am impressed by the amount of options and info you were able to implement in the main menu. You did a great job!

Very interesting concept! Having to go between the mortal realm and the underworld and keeping both sides ok is very challenging! I think the game can be a little more forgiving, but nonetheless, the game is very well-designed and well-made. The control feels good, and the SFX fits very well.

To make this game better, perhaps it is a good idea to reduce the number of temples in the underworld. I feel like above, there are only 3 temples, but in the underworld, there are so many, and the timer is very short. Instead of increasing the difficulty by having more temples, perhaps you can add other mechanics to add variety to the gameplay.

Overall, a very well-executed fun game. Very impressive that you managed to make everything functional and running by yourself in 10 days! Keep up the good work!

Wow this is a really cool idea, the underworld idea was like a creative mastermind :)

Very well done :)

I really love the concept here! I would call the current difficulty level hard mode though. If you continue development on this, perhaps add an easy difficulty setting that pauses activity in the other realm that the player is not focused on? Maybe medium, or standard, difficulty could keep both realms active but increase the timer on the souls before they ressurrect.

Interesting mechanic. The changing from Real to Underworld could be with a keystroke instead of clicking. I think it would enhance gameplay flow!

Very good!

Fantastic idea, according to the theme and cool mechanics! However, I think there is a lot going on. Too many enemies, too little time to drag the souls, too many souls to see which religion the belong to. I did not manage to pass wave 5. Anyway, really fun game just needs a little bit more polish, congratulations! :)

Wow, this got surprisingly frantic surprisingly quickly! Very challenging, but at least it wasn't too easy. :)

It's impressive that you managed to make such a complex game that runs so smoothly within the jam time limit. The animations are also very impressive, and the presentation with the menus and instructions is also a great touch of polish.

Well done!

Great submission! It got hard really quick! Good graphics and gameplay, well done!

great concept, nice music/art feel.
Found it to challenging to early on. My best advice for any Jam game (and short demo games in general) is to make them to easy for YOU. I needed a lot more time to figure out where the pantheons were, what the symbols looked like and where to send each soul.
Could have ramped things up by only have 2-3 at first level, then increased them other the levels. Or by giving more time to put a sould away.

Well done though on getting this game together for the jam. Lots of different concepts to bring together in a short amount of time! Great work!

Developer

Thanks for the advice, I never balance well enough my games because I always want to challenge myself (which is dumb, I know everything in the game - even though I'm never number 1 in my leaderboards ;-). Your advice is easy and simple, I'll keep it in my head for a long time! I'm glad you could enjoy it anyway!

Really cool game, I think you did a great job! Happy I made the leaderboard lol. What did you struggle with most when making it?

Developer

Thanks! A lot of people say it is too hard, so I would say that the balance was a struggle (I didn't had play testers). And, as always, with the graphics... It's not my specialty, so I try my best, but its not always readable. Glad you have fun with it and congrats for getting to the leaderboard!

I would argue you nailed the difficulty, the art is great, and its definitely got the originality so well done

Nice little game, I think the difficulty ramps up a bit too fast though. On my second play through I realised you don't have time to kill each wave before dealing with the souls.
I found the symbols for the religions a bit hard to see - there were kinda fuzzy.
I'm on a laptop, so no real mouse which made it even harder but it was a fun game

Thanks for playing! I'm sorry the game is too hard, I didn't had time to balance it. And I have to change the resolution, so the icons could be more readable. I don't know how you did in a Laptop! I understand now why you think you don't have the time to deal with the souls ;-) Glad you had some fun!

I'm 9th :D

Developer

Congrats! It's getting harder and harder to get to the leaderboard :-) And thanks for playing!

I almost broke my mouse. Enemies are so numerous. Very hard game.
Well dome

Developer

I think we can say its a intense experience ;-) Thanks for playing and commenting, I'm glad you had some fun!

I like the historic aspect and the art and design seemed good, there was probably more to this game than I took in as I couldn't quite get my head around it.

An easier learning curve would have helped maybe cutting down the option until you play and get the hang of things.

Developer(+1)

It's true the game is a bit hard and goes directly from calm to a lot of ennemies in less then 5 min, but thanks for trying :-) In a next version I'm surely balance it better so more people can enjoy it!

This game is a good amount of challenge! I like the mechanic that lets you jump between the living world and the underworld to steal the souls of those you've purged. It'd be really cool if each type of soul that you collect gives you energy for a specific one use ability associated to the soul type.

Very fun!

Great Idea for the souls powers! I was thinking about giving each Greek God a power overtime, and your idea of the souls could be like a kind of Mana. Thanks for playing and the good suggestion!

Hectic game and a great idea. I don't know how some people got so many points. I just want to smite them :-)

Great submission, very original. Thanks a lot.

Developer

I don't know how they got the high score neither (generally, I'm not the best in my own games ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed it and that the game woke your competitor spirit! Thanks for playing!
