Great game, with awesome implementation of the theme! However, sometimes timing right makes it really hard. For example, on the first crucifix level if you press shift too soon you instantly revive (from the light maybe?) but you lose your stack too. Or when you need to jump down and change into ghost, if you press shift too early, while touching a bit of the light you will not change into ghost, which can be a little frustrating. Apart from this, I really liked your idea, great mechanics, great game, congratulations! :)

Decent platformer. Different from the the many "use your previous bodies to make it the end". I think it was a bit too easy. I didn't die in my first run so I had to go back and replay some of it just too see what happens when I fall into spikes. But I can see why it is hard to make a hard but fair platformer with limited time.
Yeah, I understand. It wasn't really meant to be hard, I just wanted people to figure out how to progress. I also didn't want people to get stuck, as the nature of game jams causes people to (rightfully) move on quickly from submissions. More challenging levels could and would be implemented given more time or in a full release, but this game will never be about pixel-precise platforming. I appreciate the feedback, though. Thank you!
I love how everyone is pointing out a different aspect of the game that really spoke to them. It validates all of the work I put into adding the little things. Thank you for saying that about utilizing it to the fullest, but I assure you, I definitely had to rush near the end. Several more levels and mechanics were planned. I just ran out of time.
A tremendous thank you for the play and the praise!
This is cool. It is one of the best games I played in the jam. It is mostly because the little things were done great. Sounds, lighting and so on... The idea itself is great but without those little things and the quality of level design, the game wouldn't be that much fun. For me, level design is something hard to do right. Overall, great job.
Wow, that's very high praise and it means an incredible amount to me. I'm very glad the little things are paying off, because this is the first time I really focused my efforts on making sure that stuff was there. Normally, I'm very form over function, but I really wanted to nail it this time and I worked very hard. I'm glad it's showing to people. If you look at my past games, none of them are as good as this one, so I think I just got lucky that everything fell into place. Thank you so much for the play and the comment.
The mechanic is great and you are a talented level designer. You extracted a lot of good ideas from the concept. Your gameplays, looks and sounds great! This may sound like a weird compliment... but I REALLY enjoyed the sound for the footsteps. Nice job!
Being called a talented level designer is the greatest complement I can receive. Level design is my passion, so I'm glad that stuck out to you. I also worked extra hard on the aesthetics and the feedback on the controls for this game, and having footsteps/landing/jumping noises that added to the feeling and atmosphere was a huge priority for me, so I'm glad that work wasn't wasted. This comment means a lot to me. Thank you!
I'm a sucker for puzzle platformers and this one worked really well. Also had a decent amount of levels for the time frame.
The look and sounds really add to the atmosphere too.
Hi there, we don't accept unitypackages as source. This is because unitypackages don't include project or editor settings. Please reupload your source so that it contains the Assets, Packages, and ProjectSettings folders. It should look similar to this when done: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning
