I couldn't get anywhere in this game. Part of these screen is cut off, as I can't read the full instructions and the full screen button isn't visible.
I only found one ghost in the crate, and I showed it the consequences and then nothing else happened. 4 crates and only 1 ghost, was I missing something?
You weren't missing anything. The game is.
Nice concept! The music was a good choice. Congrats on the jam submission 😎
After the nice title screen it was sadly rather unfinished...
For some reason going full-screen in my browser didn't work.
The Archive tagged as a Linux version actually contains the WebGL files...
I looked again, I missed that the archive lacked a top-level folder and the program to start was actually mixed into the folder I was in when I unzipped it. Fortunately I made a subfolder for the game beforehand since I downloaded the build and the source and extracted the source archive already.Anyway, I took the source project and built my own copy of it...
Oof! Thanks for both going through all that and sharing.
Several kinds of terrifying 10/10 !
Got to love the creepy music. I'm sure you would have added much more given more time or people.
Hey there, it looks like there's some of the screen being cutoff in the game. Take a look at the edit page for your game. There should be an option to turn on fullscreen mode. I like the concepts and the ghosts looked cool :)
Things I liked:
-Visuals
-title screen
-Music
Things to improve:
-instructions screen was cut off when I was not in full screen mode, so making sure that scales with the screen
-faster/ more responsive camera movement
-way to progress
Overall:
Game Jams are tough, especially for one person! I hope you continue to make games and I hope you learned a lot about making games and had fun- be proud - you uploaded a game!!
Thanks for rating my game! I made some changes, so it would be awesome if you could check it out again!
I did not eat any ghosts but they were cute.
Fair! Makes me wonder if I should make the ghosts more obnoxious, or even *more* cute so players feel bad.
Interesting original concept! Well done for submitting!
I really like the idea of this game and I think the music fits really well too! If you ever decide to add more levels I'll be totally down to come back and play again toshow the consequences of trespassing to even more ghosts haha :D
I'm very confused about this game I don't understand the objective or how to do anything and I encountered a bug on the only level where I wasn't able to move the camera to mine. The camera speed was slow and there was no replayability to this game.
Thanks for the feed back.
These are all understandable issues that if I decide to work on this more I plan to address.
You submitted something - well done! I couldn't get the full screen to work, so the camera speed was probably the biggest issue for me.
Hey,
sorry, but I don't understand what to do... I go close to the ghost, press the spacebar, and, nothing happens? What should I do?
Sorry it's not more clear.
The other ghost starts howling in pain, as you are doing damage to it. It will eventually disappear and which point you're in an empty building with nothing left to do but hit the escape button.
Got it! I'll try that again :D
Hi, I noticed your source is misconfigured. Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game. In your case, you need to package the Assets, Packages, and ProjectSettings folders together in a single zip. Here is an example of the files to include: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning
Sorry I misunderstood that. I should have this fixed within six hours. Thank you for informing me.
Yep, it looks good now :)
