I agree it needed content. Story would only matter if I was looking to have a story score.
Thanks for playing and the review.

Nice music.

Getting insta killed by other carts isn't too fun though.

It's a good start.

I was spawned on top of a rock on the second stage and couldn't move. Otherwise nice idea.

Some interesting ideas here. It felt like auto aim wasn't working quite right. After a certain point I thought I'd try and get myself killed but that just wasn't happening.

Someone tried to cash in some fake Xu credits earlier today, but you get 5i of them on principle. (I have strong opinions on guns and property rights)

Pretty fun. I can see a lot of ways you could take it from here if you wanted to.

I was considering changing behaviour, like letting the stands go through each other. But it's kind of interesting if you have to time it. Or in your case build a wall.

Guess I left my review in the other comment. So uh... good job!

I like it. Lots of potential for different mechanics here. Are the levels randomly generated or did you create them each by hand? It felt like the movement of the enemies was not optimal, making me think you set all of that.

Thanks for the review.
It's hard for me to put in a lot of time into projects, though I'm getting better about that. I'm pretty new to Godot too so a lot of the time I did spend was on learning.

I don't think I will do more with this, but I did have a lot of ideas. Like the random enemies or obstacles.

I'm glad I decided to do stuff with physics, it had interesting effects.

"Weird Boss Music" was the name of the background music. In hindsight I realize that would be confusing.

I liked it. I can see there being potential for more.

Good music. Unfortunately I couldn't turn. This is an issue in a lot of games for me so I assume it's some sort of bug in Unity itself.

Not turning was a moderate issue,  as I was mostly able to proceed.

Thanks for trying.

Enter should work, but I suppose that wasn't made clear enough.

Turns out something broke in the WebGL build. Don't think I'll be able to get it to work.

I don't have a lot of interest in doing more with this. Anyone interested in history or philosophy shouldn't get too comfortable because I am likely to do more like this in the future.

(1 edit)

There were a few ideas I had that didn't get in. I thought it would be best not to try anything too ambitious or I might not get anything done.

For instance, I could have used models that actually looked like people. Or used a free AI to narrate the text.

I also wanted to have some kind of mechanic with shadows, but that would have been too difficult.

I did have the idea of Plato being a vampire and so he had to stick to the shadows. That one ended up being buggy so I scraped the idea. You can still push platforms around though.

This went better than last year. Not good. But better.

You weren't missing anything. The game is.

Oof! Thanks for both going through all that and sharing.

There was a bug when I tried to run the game a second time (a series of javascript errors).  Nothing too serious though.

The movement of the enemies felt a bit odd, but there's no rule they *have* to behave like pacman ghosts.

On the whole though well put together.

Good stuff.

Fantastic game.
Defaulting to mobile size was a little annoying but wasn't a major issue.

Fair! Makes me wonder if I should make the ghosts more obnoxious, or even *more* cute so players feel bad.

Thanks for the feed back.
These are all understandable issues that if I decide to work on this more I plan to address.

I could move the camera with arrow keys and WASD, but not to where I *was*

I pressed next level several times which could be related.

Interesting idea, though not one I cared for. Controlling the bird was a struggle, which while I get is the point didn't make for a pleasant experience. Which is unfortunate since it does look and sound nice. Didn't feel it fit the theme.

I like it.

A bit confusing, and I encountered a bug on the second level where I wasn't able to move the camera to my Necroman. Still, shows promise.

There's some strong potential here.

Kind of fun, which is saying a lot for something made this quickly. Good stuff.

An interesting idea. Frustrating to the point it was hard to even get to the game. which was the point I get. I could see this being pretty fun with some more polish and time.

Amusing, though kind of a pain to get through everything.

I also see we're brothers in self depreciation!

Sorry it's not more clear.

The other ghost starts howling in pain, as you are doing damage to it. It will eventually disappear and which point you're in an empty building with nothing left to do but hit the escape button.

Sorry I misunderstood that. I should have this fixed within six hours. Thank you for informing me.

The real horror is that the quit button doesn't work! (If only there was another way to escape it)

Uploading whatever this is.

I still like the idea and might get back to this one day. Don't hold your breathe though (otherwise you might die, and get eaten by a meaner ghost)
