Super fun! I don't know why, but I have been having fun playing it multiple times and trying to speed run it. Because of that, I noticed that the controls on releasing the stretching can be helpful, but it might be nice to have a way to just let go because sometimes I would get stuck clicking when I was tying to stretch something new, not the old one. I would also get stuck if I was standing next to a wall, it would stop stretching which makes sense for several cases, but sometimes I was not going to get crushed, but I would still get stuck and could not stretch.

It might be fun to have a speedrun timer in the game for replayability, but that might just be me - I loved this game!

I guess I will have to play again because I did not feel a lot of screen shake when the player got hit- maybe that is a good thing because too much screen shake can be harmful to the player experience.

Clear bold outlines could definitely help!

You have a great fun little game here- this was so much fun!

Thank you kindly! Abilities would be awesome, but yeah, completing that in the time period would have been difficult, but as a suggestion for future games, that would be great!

As for the feeling of getting one-shot all the time, I agree. I wanted more strategy, so the idea of it boiling down to that makes it not as strategic. I want to add more to give it depth, so thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for your kind feedback- it is much appreciated!

Thank you! Very kinds words- much appreciated! Best of luck to you as well! We had fun with your game!

Yeah, we hope to clear that up with a future update, but thank you for the feedback!

Thank you!!

Things I liked:

-Fun puzzle game! I love puzzle games and this one was well thought out and super cool as small mechanics were introduced to think about how they could interreact with each other and create so many unique puzzles!

-smooth transitions from character to character to make switching and exploring not feel punishing but something I enjoyed doing

-glad you had a menu you could view controls in game that were easy to find and understand

Things to improve:

-you already noted the bug about how they can climb on each other. I accidentally left the map because of this bug.

-Would love some artwork on those main characters and some more SFX to make them unique. Maybe including some hints that the red one can go in the fire, blue can go in the steam, and green can drop a bone

-introducing the bone mechanic more clearly. I read the controls before so I was aware, but I am sure someone would have difficulty with it

Overall:

Super fun puzzle game that I would love to see more of and play again! I even showed some friends this because I thought it was so cool! Good work!

That is actually pretty fascinating! Oh I can see that idea as the theme! Not as clear to me so that is why it was hard to find it, but nice job! No worries, things to think about! You still did a great job! Of course, it was fun!

Things I liked:

-Super fun combat!

-love the upgrades to make me feel more powerful!

-A boss battle?! That was amazing!

Things to improve:

-SFX, screen shake / other VFX, fonts, etc - general polish

-making those small enemies easier to see

-having a visible recharge of when your next sword swing is available

Overall:

Lots of fun, lots of polish make this an amazing entry! The boss fight when he starts getting his own hearts and it DOESN'T seem to stop- that was terrifying at first! But I was able to avenge my father! What a neat little experience!

Things I liked:

-the movement felt nice and smooth

-learning the movement of the skeleton guards and dodging them felt thrilling and exciting - a cool player experience

Things to improve:

-sometimes the movement of the guards seemed to change which made the player experience not as enjoyable as I found myself thinking "Oh he will go down and I am safe" then he came up which was different than last time so it felt as though I was not making progress and I was losing and going back to the start not because of my own abilities, but because the game chose that instead which isn't fun

-Hitting a skeleton can trigger multiple sound clips to play, so sometimes on your way back to the start, I'll hit a different skeleton and the trigger plays although I was already caught and am going back to the start

-Needs more checkpoints if you are going to create a big map

-UI was basically off-screen so I have no clue what else was seen

Overall:

Really enjoyed this game! With some polish, this could turn into a fantastic game! You did a great job with this, super cool!

Things I liked:

-Chess is fun and you have a lot of the core mechanics down!

-Music was fun to make the mood more interesting and engaging

Things to improve:

-let the pieces slide or move into place instead of instantly moving. Will help identifying what move the enemy team chose

-enemy team can still move even in checkmate. I won by capturing the king which felt weird, but that's a small thing haha

Overall:

-You did a really good job making chess! This was awesome! Keep up the good work!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-Solid shooting system (Inspiration from Horizon: Zero Dawn?)

-You had customization which is huge with shooter games

-fun practice system that could help with aiming and movement if this was part of a full game, so this is awesome and it would be cool to see how it could be implemented into a full game

Things to improve:

-not sure how the theme fits in. Is it really an improvement to make it fit the theme? Not really, but just a small critique

-Moving fast to aim lags the game - it's not smooth and I would want it to be, especially if its a game where you need good aim as implied by the training to train your aim

-something to help indicate when you are close to the edge - visual, SFX, UI heads up / warning etc would help (I definitely  did not fall off multiple times!....)

-Not being able to shoot the targets that shoot back felt more frustrating than challenging, especially when their hitboxes got in the way of the target I was aiming at behind them. Either they should be destructible, or they should not have hitboxes to interfere with aiming (or another option, just throwing out some ideas)

Overall;

A fun shooter game! Does not really feel like it fits with the theme which is a huge bummer in the spirit of the jam, but still a cool game with a solid foundation and some amazing work done here! I am thoroughly impressed- keep it up!! Hope this feedback is helpful! :)

I understand dreaming big! It's so hard not to when you have all these super cool ideas flowing into a game design! My advice is to create the critical game flow, essentially a MVP (minimal viable product) where you can play your game at the most basic skeleton of the game. Then add features to improve the game so that if you have to end a lot sooner than you expect to, you still have a product that is playable from start to end.

At the end of the day, you made a fun experience that I thoroughly enjoyed and I hope that my advice is useful and helps you continue to grow!

I really did enjoy the game, I just hope my feedback was useful and can help you continue to grow as a developer! Thanks for submitting!

I am just a beginner myself, so I am just trying to help anyway I can. I hope the feedback was useful!

Thank you! Great reminder on the fact that the health regenerates- it can be so easy to forget those things as a developer! Really appreciate your feedback!

Things I liked:

-visuals and base foundation are solid

Things to improve:

-going up makes my character look to the right which feels unnatural and like wise, going down makes my character look to the left

Overall:

You have a foundation that you can build on and you were willing to participate in a game jam and get to a point where you could share your product. I hope you learned a lot for your next game jam! Keep doing it and you will surely grow!

Things I liked:

-Introduction with the grim reaper (right?)

-lore with the ghosts and being told to ignore what they say- adds so much depth to this game!

-Fun chill vibes that were soothing, fun, and entertaining

Things to improve:

-the random sounds on the grim reaper talking were a little crazy and became slightly annoying (not a big issue though just a little over the top)

-"New Text" is the starting text on the last screen

-what is my goal? Is there a score? Certain number of drinks? I got pretty far with all three lives then suddenly the game stopped. Not sure if I hit a goal or something, but just to let you know

Overall:

I enjoyed this thoroughly! Easy controls that I could go fast, but a good pace just to relax and enjoy the game, very well done! Keep up the great work!

Things I liked:

-Super fun to play through- lots of polish and variety in the spells you can cast for a few different playstyles

-Fun progression with building a small army and supporting them

-Awesome visuals and particle effects - looks like a great and polished game!

Things to improve:

-Got a lot of lag, especially towards the end when my army was massive and casting spells slowed to a crawl

-Bigger explosions/ visuals on the big fireball to make it more exciting and feel more powerful

-Clarity with cost of spells on when you gain back magic

Overall:

Super fun experience and love the ideas surrounding this! Would love to see where this goes!

Things I liked:

-Playing into this trope and having fun with it, taking a unique spin on the theme

-Music was great along with the voice lines - lots of polish in this game!

Things to improve:

-Variety in voice lines when "collecting" heroes

-sometimes the truck moves on its own which causes it to crash

-more forgiveness on the truck collider. Sometimes it did not feel like I had made a mistake, but the game still punished me

Overall:

Awesome take on the theme to make a fun high scoring game! Good work, especially for your first game jam! Fantastic work!!

Things I liked:

-Visuals were fun and the dancing skeleton was hilarious!

-SFX were so satisfying and the particles when you got the correct symbols was super impressive!

-simplicity of the game

Things to improve:

-not a lot of control when you know which one you need to change, it comes down to luck, not skill which does not always make things fun

-once you get 5 and you get a free roll, it slows down as I am waiting for my next move

Overall:

Fun dice game and a very unique take on the theme! Super cool and would love to see more! Good job, really polished!

(Thanks for putting up a windows version for this!)

Things I liked:

-Super cool intro with a voice-over! Cool story! I assume there is some biblical allusions here in the story as well as a star wars style scrolling through the text- that was cool

-Visually, this game looks amazing!

-It's daunting not knowing how your actions will effect the game so I had to carefully consider many things- a really intriguing concept!

Things to improve:

-Intro felt long and the voice over was not clear in many places. Voice modifier was fine, but making sure audio is clear and crisp and revising the intro into a concise version would greatly enhance immersion (make it max 1-2 minutes) (Note: I don't want to skip it, but I am glad you included the button just in case!)

-You stated you didn't have time to finish, but giving player feedback or at least an end state for when the player has done so many things they get feedback based on your vision (Are they doing the right thing, wrong thing, are they not giving enough time or too much time? etc)

-Music/SFX etc would help with the mood/ feel

Overall:

This game has great potential and I am super interested in seeing how player choices will influence the rest of the game. Be sure to let me know about future updates, I would love to play this again!

Thank you! We put up a patch to fix some of those serious bugs so glad you could get a fuller experience!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-I love that coins were everywhere and there was a point system

-I love how becoming a ghost allowed me to progress in a unique way or explore if I wanted to avoid a big fight

-I liked the different places to explore in the map (dungeon, cave, inner castle, grassy area)

-I like that if you did not move right away after getting a revive potion, you had a moment to plan out your actions as the enemies would stop

Things to improve

-for precise dodging of the enemies, the slippery controls became frustrating, especially if we have to dodge and move around them and traps. On that note, I do not think the hit box should be around the entire character model as it did not feel natural. I would get hit by water because my head passed through it and I would instantly die which was something I had to rewire in my head.

-No ending? I got all 11 scrolls, but nothing happened? If something did happen, giving player feedback and helping them move towards whatever did happen if it was in the world

-Limited spawns with the potions so when I got instantly killed by traps or water, it was scary and this game would be frustrating playing and getting 10 scrolls but running out of potions, so making some way to buy back a potion with coins or they regenerate over time.

Overall:

Fun game and I would love to see and play more- nostalgic and fun!

Oh also I forgot, but when you hit around every 400-500 mark (400-500, 900-1000, 1400-1500 etc) cars start to spawn and I can see them being teleported on screen and from the 500-600 mark (500-600, 1000-1100, 1500-1600 etc) there are no cars spawning, Just pointing this out just in case - can't wait to see an update!

Good idea! Maybe a hover option so you can see stats like attack and health etc. would help with that!

Redo button would be awesome, but in the MVP (minimal Viable Product) that was one feature that was not needed, but a definite must if we continue moving forward with this project, great idea!

Bug on that level is noted. We will play test some more to see what is happening

Thank you so much! Glad the second time through was more enjoyable!

Good idea! We had an idea to make the enemy's turn go faster if you hit a speed up button, but same idea- we agree that the enemy turn can become boring real fast- especially when they have a lot of units!

Thank you! Shoutout to my artist for making awesome 2D art, @jonahhoem !

I am on my way to play your game!

Things I liked:

-Controls were cool and precise and felt good

-I love collectables, so a motivation to explore which is cool

-the variety in level design and enemies

-music

-story at the beginning with the cutscene - super cool!!

Things to improve:

-My screen was set to a different resolution so I did not see the controls on screen or the counters at the top of the screen so I ran into a few difficulties with the second jump of the game until I realized I could double jump (Just need to make sure UI text is visible for other screen resolutions. Luckily I just switched over to a different screen and found the UI(

-Hitboxes of enemies and spiked was big and unforgiving, creating some frustrating moments. I saw one time that I lost 2 lives from a single enemy when I passed over the top of it, not even touching it. When I did get hit,  I could still move around, but then I would later get teleported back to the start which was confusing

-I am sure you are aware, but sound effects and visual effects are huge for player feedback. Let me know that I picked up a coin and the counter going up is for coins. Let me know that I got hit or completed a level

Overall:

you may think you were in over your hand for your first game jam, but I think this is an awesome way to learn and grow. You understand the development process condensed down into a few days time and now you have a game that you created all on your own- that is incredible! You did awesome and this game was fun, be proud of what you did in a short amount of time and keep it up!

Lastly, if you get a chance, it would be awesome if you could play and give feedback to my game!

Things I liked:

-Great visuals sfx, and music!

-An interesting idea where you have multiple things to figure out, where people go and how they are going to get there

-Really solid foundation for a neat puzzle game - I love puzzles!

Things to improve:

-It would nicer to have more of a tutorial as I was confused and still am about some of the levels. Does it have to be a specific number in each one? If so, there are a lot of combinations so it becomes more of a guessing game rather than a thinking game when you have 5 people and 3 places to go. Is going onto one trap better than other traps? Still unclear. Lots of things that can be clarified to make the player experience better

-does the person have an influence on where they need to go? Could be another things to  consider to help with the above point or add another layer to this puzzle game

Overall:

Really enjoy a good puzzle and so I liked the idea of figuring out, based on the numbers, where things were supposed to go and how you could get them there- super cool! Great work!!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-I like high score games (I scored 5192)

-I like the way the theme was used here- death is the beginning of the next part of the game- a more challenging one, too!

-A tracker for your high scores in game- super cool!

Things to improve:

-more variety to music/ volume control. Music in first part is nice, but I got to 4500+ the music became too repetitive and the death sound on the second run was too loud

-increasing difficulty in the first part of the run and a more balanced way of randomly generating levels for the second part of the run (I had a gap that need a triple, possibly a quadruple jump to make)

Overall:

Fun game to get a high score on with a cool challenging second game meshed with the first one- Great idea!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-this game was fun because I loved being able to dodge around the skeletons. I felt nimble and strong!

-I liked the progression- small skeletons to the black one! It was easy to recognize how they grew stronger!

-the dungeon as a skeleton working your way to the throne- that was super awesome!

Things to improve:

-FEEDBACK: I want to hear when I hit the guy and get that satisfaction of defeating the tough ones- especially the boss! SFX, screen shake, particles, health bar, etc. This will all enhance this experience tremendously!

-Found some issues where I could walk on top of the skeletons (short ones)

-Ending - is there one? Is there anything after the black skeleton? Not sure so it is unclear and can be improved

Overall:

Really fun and cool game - loved it! Would love to see more!!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-I liked the idea of multiple styles mixed together - 2d one moment, 3d the next

-I like that you had multiple languages supported for this game!

-fun little story to follow along

Things to improve:

-not sure why the training room was so dark? I did not realize the other person in the room was someone I was supposed to be talking to, not shooting. Also did not see the computer or the door so it took me 20 minutes to get out of the training room. It didn't help that every so often, I would be sent back to the title screen- not sure why.

-Controls were a little hard to grasp, but I later learned that right mouse button was aim and left was shoot, not left control button. Mouse was hard to use on the tutorial level as it would only go so far and then I could no longer continue turning in that direction

-2D levels were a great idea, but I would have liked variety. Also I continued losing or something since I would be teleported to the beginning of the level. I think I was hitting an invisible enemy or trap, but that was tough

Overall:

You submitted a game in a short amount of time with two languages supported! That is insane! Good job and keep working and making games, you are doing great!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

Hope my feedback helped! Link that post to me if you do end up making it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll add it to my to-do list to see if I can find the bug you are talking about!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-love the visuals and animations - the squish of landing is so satisfying!

-puzzles were well designed and not too hard, introducing a few things at a time which was super cool and fun!

-even though there were no audio sounds for cues for the buttons, the visual indicator was a good solution that looked well and made it a lot easier to recognize if I was pushing the button or not- very clever!

-the last level was a cool way to end it!

Things to improve:

-coyote time (being able to jump even if my character is mostly off the platform - it gives the game a better feel)

-block pushing was tedious and not easy, especially with the level where you have to stack the blocks. That was not easy because the block on top fell off very easily

-not sure if the after image was intentional because sometimes it appeared, sometimes it didn't so it confused me and I was unsure if there was a significance to it, especially since everything is following a color theme, those after images really stand out and make me think they are super important which I do not think they are? Still not entirely sure haha

Overall:

I always enjoy a fun platformer, and I am a sucker for puzzle games so this game was made for me! Would love to see more! Amazing job for your first game jam, keep up the awesome work!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

(1 edit)

Things I liked:

-Progressive difficulty (helps with introducing new players)

-Easy to grasp and intuitive

-Fun and interesting take on the theme!

Things to improve:

-Having control of where the events go, so including a drop feature to drop them on the different events would help

-Having a timer to see how long before one of the options recharged

Overall:

Fun little game to try to earn a high score with a cool take on the theme! Keep up the good work!

It would be super awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!

Things I liked:

-Fun little challenge and level 2 was a cool challenge!

-Music was fun and exciting

-Appreciated the tutorial menu!

-Liked the hints that came after a certain amount of time!

Things that can be improved:

-If not in full screen, a lot of text and buttons overlap or do not appear so it was confusing for a bit.

-not a lot of feedback on level 1, so it was confusing- still not sure how I did it

-Level 3 and 2 should be switched since level 2 is more challenging and uses part of level 3's game mechanics

Overall:

Fun little game and challenge! Hope you keep adding more and keep growing as a game developer!

Things I liked:

-High Score was displayed so I could be proud of mine (17, but I could do better for sure!)

-Once I grasped what to do, I had a lot of fun dodging and running around, but it was still a good challenge!

-Visuals were awesome!

-game was not too punishing. Liked that it was easy to start over without having to go through a lot of menus

Things to improve:

-roll sometimes gets stuck or caught on a lot of smaller things (be more forgiving with the roll) especially on the stairs or next to a tombstone

-bar to tell you when you get your roll back (since I notice I cannot use it right away after I just rolled, feedback is important!)

-Did not know I could suck in different directions, so maybe a little mini-tutorial or more directions showing that off as well as explaining more clearly the objective (did not realize it was high score for a while)

Overall:

Fun game to play- super cool experience and I would love to hear people's high scores! (Mine was 17 in case people skipped that part - I want some friendly competition!) Keep up the great work!

It would be awesome if you played and rated my game! I would love to get some feedback!

Things I liked:

-story, voice-acting, plot - everything was masterfully done!

-exploring the world and coming back to different places to see if based on new info, if things changed- building a story

-2D art was incredible- and there was so much! Well done!

-Dialogue and interaction system felt like a full fledged game- very well polished!

Things to improve:

-time: what was its significance? I did not know until the end. Sometimes it skipped a few numbers at a time. There should be a way to end sooner in case you have everything figured out

-did I get the ending correct? Not sure, so feedback would be nice

-I was unsure my objective and if I found all the evidence or not, so some way to inform the player if they need to keep exploring, have 90% of evidence found, or what they need to find next. Choose a system and go for it as I think that will help a lot with player understanding.

Overall:

Awesome game with so much polish! I am excited to hear you are continuing development! Keep me updated when you publish more! I am in full support- this is awesome!!

If you get a chance, it would be awesome if you could check out and rate my game as well!
