I loved the aesthetics here especially with the water! I would love to hear some ambient noises in the background like the water or something while riding down the river. As some people already mentioned, it gets a bit wonky when running into the shore. Great start nonetheless!

Great song and cool to see a water shader in this gamejam!

I loved the environmental design on this one. The music got me into a very specific peaceful state of mind for canoeing, but unfortunately, the locked camera combined with the bumpy ride and the tendency for my canoe to flip vertically up or go sideways made me a bit sick if I played too long. If you fix these issues I could see myself really enjoying this relaxing trip down the river!

I'd recommend using cinemachine to handle smoothing the camera with the canoe's chaotic movements.

The water looked really good! I was amazed by the water physics. I don't know if you just put a noise over it and adjusted the water with that. But however, you did it. I think it looked really good and played well!

It will be nice to add a reset button, and make the camera free look, I like the water, and cool game :D

The music is amazing. Combined with the amazing looking water shader I must say that this looks great. Amazing work. The boat controller isn't perfect, but considering that making a controller for a boat isn't easy, that's alright .

I like the wonky boat movements after you hit the shore. Not sure if it's intentional but it looks really trippy :D I never tried a 3D project so I am always impressed with getting anything 3D working, especially like the foamy graphics near the shore. (And I am kinda sad I was unable to actually flip the boat :P)

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! There was a time where the boat would only flip and it was a challenge to keep it steady :D

Unable to parse Build/Build.framework.js.gz! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: gzip" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.

I'll take a look and see if I can fix that. Thanks for letting me know!

Great music.
Can you upgrade the controls. I can’t move the boat correctly.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, the movement is a little weird. I changed it so the controls aren't inverted anymore, I hope that helps a little.

Thanks

The boat controls seem to be ...... Inverted, Loved the music

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We had the controls inverted because we wanted to make more of a paddle mechanic but ran out of time. We just forgot to undo the inversion but it's fixed now.

I couldn't get the boat to move well
