I had the Realm Rush game and built upon that. Music by Eric Matyas soundimmage.org, Mixamo Animation. I used a YT-Video as the final song from MythFury

Dancing gnomes was really good, I must say.

Nice one! I beat the wave. I liked that you could use the sunflowers also to redirect the slugs for extra strategy

Submitted(+1)

Pretty cool concept, has great potential, needs a bit of balancing, and I think putting a grid on where players can place sunflowers would be helpful, but still, good job!

Submitted

You've outdone yourself with this game, mate! Rated it. Could you check out and rate my game?

Developer

Well your title says it all :D I will check it out right now!

Submitted(+1)

Ez pez win! :D I loved the gnome-dance. Very cute! The game itself felt a bit unbalanced (I know, thats the most horrible part) because i was just able to spam dmg into tower into dmg upgrade into tower and didn`t even need the 3. Dimension. Overall: Great use of the theme and defentily outstanding in the jam. :)

This was fun but i sucked at it. I had a small issue where i couldnt fire if my mouse went outside the screen but I think that might be an Itch.io issue.

Developer(+1)

Yeah... could be... in unity it works... I will get to it, thank you!

Submitted(+1)

nicely done! good visuals I agree to what other said - could be a good base for something bigger!

Submitted(+1)

The game was very good and maybe you could use it as a prototype for something big in the future. Specifically liked the art and the concept. I have a doubt, are we not supposed to turn large angles, as when I was playing the game I was not able to turn left beyond a certain point. Wishing you the best!

Developer

In unity it works... I don't know why here not... did you play it fullscreen?

Submitted

yes, I've played in fullscreen in the browser. I couldnt turn anymore after the mouse cursor reached the end

This game could really use a grid!, good game nevertheless.

This game could really use a grid!, good game nevertheless.

Developer

Well it has a grid, for placing towers and the slugs which want to eat your house. The player and the other slugs (which want to eat you) don't use them.

Thanks for trying it out!

Really well done!  Took a sec to get used to toggling back and forth between the two views but once I got the hang of it I really liked the idea of it!

Another Tower Defense Game! I just played Cyber Attack before this, there's some shared DNA between your concepts, definitely check them out. I also made a tower defense game earlier this month, I have been wondering about the viability of this genre a lot lately. Also, my garden is starting to pop off this year, and last year the snails were an absolutely menace, so I can totally relate to this gnome. I installed some anti snail walls to hopefully help slow their invasion this year.

Like this. I do suggest your gnome try them out to protect his mushroom, cabbages, etc.

Great game, good challenge, nice work. :)

Developer

HAHAHA nice! I will forward this for the gnome ;D

Yeah I played that too! And I will play yours!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Game! Figgured out how to win very fast, a difficulty level would be cool.

But for your first 3D game you did a very good job ;)

Developer

Nice! A lot of people struggled with the movement and navigation, so I made it easier = less frustrating :D

Ty for the feedback!

Welcome back to the game jam! Really liked this take on a tower defense slash third person with the ability to switch between the two. My one feedback would be to either add colliders so you don't run outside the game bounds (or if that is done on purpose) add a fall timer. Sat for a while as I fell through space before dying.

Developer

I have colliders... I really don't know why they don't work... they aren't triggers either and in the physics they are active. The same thing with my musicmanager it's a singleton but doesn't delete itself.

Well I learned a lot and that's good. :D

Very fun game really well done , loved the art and music

Submitted(+1)

Fun game. Nice aesthetics. I struggled to figure out the controls at first, but then had a lot of fun. Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Nice one, the mouse is a little wonky but overall its good for your first 3d game!

Submitted

I love tower defence games!!! There is something weird going on with the music sometimes i can hear two tracks which is a bit annoying :)

Developer

Yeah I have a singleton on the musicmanager, but it doesn't delete the second one(or third :D)... I don't know why that is...

You either forgot to put DontDestroyOnLoad() or something is going on with your instances.

Developer

nope that is there too... I can't explain it either

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea, but I had a lot of issues with the mouse, like it wasn't shooting were I had it targeted, it went out of the screen and even with fullscreen I had issues with it. But overall I like the idea of towerdefence with shooter aspects.

Fun game though and good job on it!

Developer(+1)

What do you mean by issues with the mouse? you shoot always in front of you. But i needed the cursor in for the upgrade menu :D

Ty for playing non the less!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I mean since you have to shoot with your left mouse button and rotate the player, so if you rotate him around just to one side the mouse will be off the screen where you can click shoot.

Developer(+1)

Oooo you're right! I had to get the axisRaw! Ty for pointing that out.

Fixed!

Submitted

I gave it another go and now it worked without massive issues! :)

Really fun once you got into the game, but also very easy in the end, but this with more polishing, new levels, harder different enemies, would for sure make it fun!

One bug I found, if you're in the upgrade menu, and you go "out" of it with 1, to get back to shooting, the shooting is not working. You can get it back to working if you press upgrade menu and out of the upgrade menu with the E again.

Also wasn't sure if the upgrades were for player & towers or if they had separate ones, that could have been a good add on as well, but obviously for future, since I get that not everything is doable in this short of a time. But I liked the mechanic!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for figuring this out? I really didn't know what was causing this bug...

Submitted

No worries, just happened to get this issue and I'm those types that needs to find the cause of the issue normally 😂

Submitted(+1)

Cool little game. Nice idea with the towerdefence/1st person shooter thingy. I felt the controls for switching between top view and 3d were a little late sometimes to react. Also the shooting was a little weird. Nice try at 3d though!

Developer(+1)

I know... I wanted to tie it to an animation :D But it was better before... but didn't look as... "animated"? :P

Ty for playing!
