I like the art. Honestly, I had no idea what was going on at the beginning, I thought that I was supposed to be able to jump on platforms but then couldn't figure it out. Eventually I did realize what I was supposed to be doing and I found it to be quite an enjoyable game. I like the leveling mechanic. I only got to level 4 but I had a fun time. Good game.
Hi, congrats on your game! :) Great game, I could feel the inspiration from some games like Vampire Survivors. Also, congratulations on the choice of art style, I love 1-bit games. They may seem simple to make, but they require great skill. Moreover, the gameplay of the game is really cool. It just bothered me a little bit that there isn't a jump or dash button to dodge from enemies when the shield is not available.
If you have some spare time, please try out my game. It's a classic space shooter from the 80s but with a personal touch. Please leave your honest feedback.
Hi thanks for playing, i played and rated your game, very cool. Initially the speed up was a dash but changed it to increase speed with time restrictions. To be honest the 1 bit is more because I am crap at art so really limited the graphics by using 1 bit and found it was cool to play with. Really suits retro games.
I thought another game had the best death sound is this game jam, but I've changed my opinion to this one. It's like it read my mind :) Fun game. My only comment would be it's a little small on my 4k monitor for my not very good eyes.
Hi thanks for playing. Yes the screen was small I tried to limit it to a retro game as I am not good at art so figured a smaller screen meant less art to put in it. I will have a play after this jam to see if I can scale the art and still be playable. Thanks once again.
For art it's a style, and it's very well done for that style. It felt a lot like I was playing on a zx spectrum.
Retro gaming! :) Really liked that there was the autoshoot, since repeatingly pressing space doesn't really make sense if you don't have a reason not to be shooting!
I liked the powerUps and the artstyle, with the music it worked well. I didn't enjoy the small screen (I couldn't find fullscreen button anywhere?)
Thanks, the auto fire idea come from my son who had trouble using all the keys, nice modification. The small screen size was due to I am crap at art so tried a small screen and 1 bit art as an experiment. I'll try and play with after, see if I can scale it, thanks for playing.
You've captured some genuine retro vibes in this one. Good work!
Cheers its always nice when a plan comes together.
That was pretty cool. I loved how hectic the attacks got over time. The artstyle was nice too.
Loved the design, I think it starts a little small and the bullets come off from the right hand side of the player, not the center like one would expect. With the simple design, it got hard to decipher entities on the map. I think a health drop would be extraordinary and fitting in this bullet heck game. Good job!
Thanks for playing. Yeah I was aiming for a backpack firing missiles. But just ran out of time.
Oh I see that now, good job fam!
I like the simplistic design. I encountered a bug where the enemy was off screen and I couldn't get it, But alas I had Fun playing!
I knew about hat issue, but I focussed on the wrong things with polish. i assumed everyone would get the missiles which would take care of them. Should have got play testers.
I get you! we only play tested on the last day haha
Bomb game. Played with pleasure. Autofire is a great idea.
Big guys!
Thank you very much. Yes auto fire came from my sone who struggled with multiple keys so tried to simplyfy it.
Great arcade feel! Fun game!
Thanks I really tried a nice simple arcade game feel.
Fun game! I appreciate the retro aesthetic.
Thanks, yes I like th retro feel too, plus I suck at artwork so 1 bit colour scheme is awesome.
Fun to play!
Thanks i went for the quick arcade vibe for once seems to work.
Very fun!
Thanks for playing.
The game is interesting but I recommend you take more care of the presentation
Hi what part do you mean? I really struggle with artwork so tried a 1 bit pack. I see your artwork is awesome how did you do that?
fun Game I liked it but sometimes the enemies go far away from the screen so I can't attack them
good job!
Hi thanks, yes I missed that. I assumed everyone would go for homing missiles early which sorted that. I need to get play testers.
I can't use space because it slides the page down and after that I don't see the game so space makes no sense to me...
Not sure about that issue. Is focus on the screen?
Focus on the game
The enemies label should be one of the following:
1. Show how many enemies are left
2. Have name kills if you want to show how many enemies you killed
Add the instruction for control because I expected "space" to be action button. And I am not sure can I jump at all?
I found control instruction on the main screen but it is too small so add it also on a page
Thanks for that, sorry maybe i should have added an instruction page. I really tied to slim down on-screen pages. Yes, enemies left would be grat, didn't think of it.
This is a really nice game! The core gameplay loop is simple but satisfying, and the controls are really responsive! Great work!
Thanks for that appreciate you playing it.
