Really fun little game here. Simple mechanics done well. The music was really cool too. I found myself moving the shields around to the beat of the tune! Great work peeps:)
it is really simple but also fun. mirror defense like this is also challenging but still ok. I feel that make the bar longer is not that important, I hope to feel that making the bar longer / shorter will affect the bar itself maybe. Overall good job for finishing the game!
I actually like the challenge of it, the mirrored shields leaves you thinking continually.
That was nice, simple and fun!!!
Really cool vision of "Life in 2 dimensions" theme. Aesthetics and mechanics are easy and very appealing, yet game offers challenge.
I suggest that difficulty needs to spike faster (at about 300 points), so player can enter challenging part a lot faster. And oh, sounds were working only in my left earphone
This was actually surprisingly fun, in the beginning I was disappointed at how easy it was but when you introduced the teleporting enemies the whole game changed for me, Well Done!
Very creative game! You are onto something great with the mechanic of controlling both shields. I would suggest adding a downside to having the shields be big (maybe slower?) as I spent my whole time in the maximum size. I could also add that I would have liked the difficulty to spike faster (shooting enemies add a lot of fun). Congratulations on such a nice entry!
PS. The possibility of changing the colors is the icing on the cake, nice touch
I died
Neat idea! It took me a bit to understand what I was doing and took a couple hits initially, It might benefit from a tutorial or instruction page. Once I understood it though it was fun and pretty unique. It's cool that the colors seem to change every time you reload the game. My only feedback would be to ramp the difficulty sooner to keep play sessions shorter, It takes a very long time before you start seeing the new enemy variants. Oh and the music only seemed to be playing in one of my ears? Wasn't sure if that was intentional or a bug, or an issue on my end lol.
Thank you for the the feedback!
We didn't really consider people using headphones for the music so i'm not really sure what's wrong really glad you enjoyed the game!
2695 for me :)
Enjoyed the brain breaking concept of controlling 2 opposing objects to defend the base.
Did take me a bit to understand how to play :P. First time around I was clicking and moving the one on the right and the left didn't move, so may be a bug there. Once I clicked on the left I had control.
Also couldn't get the Hex code thing to work, I went to Unity and found one to try as well and it didn't like it, just gave Error each time. Hope that's a thing you can fix, as I think it'd add a great element to the game (perhaps add a list of some options for people to try, even in the game info screen, or just put in a colour picker to select from).
Great job on this, well done!
Thank you for the feedback!
The change the color you need to enter the hex code with the #
so for example : #ffffff , #dd22b8 , #4417e8 , etc.
I like the way you have interpolated the game theme and just know that I explored my other side hero couldn't stop the attacker in time. nice work
I really like the concept, and I think that's absolutely very creative! But for now, the game is not really much challenge, so I really wish there're more content and challenges of this game ^^
Anw, good job and wish you the best luck on the jam ^^
Thank you for your feedback!
About the difficulty do you think i should decrease the health or make things faster?
Ow, my brain. I like this, it's got potential for expansion. It's simple to understand but has a lot of complexity (and brain-bending possibilities). Somethings I noticed while playing:
- It never really increased in difficulty, I thought there'd be a sort of Tetris mechanic where the more you destroy the faster they start coming in.
- It was a bit too easy for two reasons:
1. I could hit arrows with the backside of my capsule, which means just dragging towards the center was often a pretty good choice (and meant I didn't entirely have to embrace the brain-bending mechanics of opposing directions). One potential solution to this is that parts of your capsule get weakened upon hitting an enemy and that part regenerates over time, but this would really make me think about directionality a lot more.
2. there was a lot of leeway on the two vertical lines (anything near the center lines could be blocked by either capsule), I would have them completely prevent a capsule from going over the line so that you have to make sure you're using the correct capsule on the correct side.
Very cool for such a simple game, and nicely executed. The aesthetic was simple but nice and the color switching was a really cool touch. All in all, I'd love to see a version with more mechanics introduced over time that really tests your mental grasp over controlling the two capsules at once. Good job!
Thank you for your feedback!
I really appreciate you pointing out how to make the game more difficult, i guess the changes to difficulty i added were to little to make the game difficult.
