I liked the controls, how everything looked, and the mechanics were clean. I really liked the approach and strategy behind how things are unlocked, and how it's balanced with the challenge of avoiding the bees. Overall, really nice job on the game!

Very cute game, love the aesthetic and theme. Controls felt nice and the gameplay was fun. I didn't realize you could kill the bees until the very end because I was so focused on avoiding them, it became a lot easier after that.  I like that you show the stats at the end, makes me want to try and go for a 0 kill pacifist run.

Love the art direction! Reminds me of the little-remembered 32X shooter Kolibri. Would love to be able to hover but it felt really satisfying to navigate otherwise. :)

Not many games let you play as a hummingbird! :D


A bit short but a very neat concept with a good foundation of mechanics. The the very generous life restoring items it's actually very easy to tank damage from the bees without much concern. Perhaps if they were only killed while in the powered-up state it would add to the difficulty. (Though, I enjoy easy games as a nice breather in this jam!)

The story and scene transitions were nice touches. The dash ability is nice in theory but, given the size of the stage, isn't especially useful. One of the classic maneuvers of hummingbirds is their ability to hover in place while collecting nectar, so perhaps adding a way to maintain altitude would be nice. :)

thanks for playing. I was thinking to add s but more to the level but i decided  to keep it short and simple, This was the first time that I used shaders to make  the transitions so a lot of my time went into making the menu and the story.  thanks for your suggestions.

Wow your game blew me away! This is a hidden gem in the jam right now based on the number of ratings at the time I am typing this and is criminally underplayed right now! First, I really loved the artwork and animation of the hummingbird gorgeous! The story panels were beautifully created as well. The platformer mechanics were challenging but fun. I felt really clever when I figured out a way to fill up Nektor's invincibility bar faster and it was very rewarding.

Beautiful drawing! Loved the concept of playing with a humming bird flower kisser :) It wasn't to clear to me when I had invincibility at first. But once you get it, it's fairly straightforward.

 I am in  the process of replanting the flowers in my garden, so that the humming birds would come back, they are really beautiful and facilitating creatures, thanks for playing and your feed back, It was challenging for me to figure out the balancing of the invincibility , with the number of enemies in the final room  ,and the player health remaining . I wanted to give the feeling of making a Last stand ,and completing the stage with 1 hit point left.
