This is a cool survival game! I really like the tap and hold mechanic. It's deceptively simple, but the strategy lies in timing the pulses correctly. I can see it being extended to different patterns or even different notes/buttons if this game gets further development.

Other folks have already mentioned it, but it would be nice to have some sort of indication of how long to hold the button for the long note. I feel like it's important for when different types of enemies attack simultaneously so the player can sequence their pulses correctly.

Excellent work on this submission!

Really cool game love the idea of patterns and sounds! my one piece of feedback would be to allow overlapping the waves so you didn't have to wait for one to expire before being able to start a new one, which could then allow for further complexity down the line with speed and skill.

Absolutely loved the aesthetics of this game and the music as well. The gameplay was very simple but I like the subtle complexity in the different enemies. Nice job!

Fun and unique idea, great job! I love love the cute cartoony art style of the echo guardian. I was a bit sad to be murdering sea turtles though lol.

Loved the graphics. Would be nice if the UI had a more clear indicator of how long you need to press for and which kind of press you already did.

That was a really fun game. I like the concept you used for defeating the enemies. I did, however, quickly forget the pattern for some of the enemies, though now I remember there was a cheat sheet that I should have been using. I still had fun playing the game. Made it to wave 6.

Developer

I'm so happy that you like the game. And yes, there's a cheat sheet. You'll need to hold the TAB key.
Thanks so much for playing :)

SFX is too loud and music is the best part of the game

Developer

Ah. Do you think it's allowed to lower the sfx volume at this stage? since it's not really a game breaking bug. Yeah. I think the music suit the game too. It's a free music I'd downloaded from opengameart.org.

Nice game. With an interesting mechanic.

The visualization is great. Maybe add a loading bar to visualize when the long note is triggered.

Developer

Thank you for trying our game and also for the feedback. :)

The SFX is too loud. Music is fine but the sound effects are blasting from my speakers.

Nice mechanic of those sound waves. Also the sound icon above the tower is a nice visualisation what you try to play.

Developer

Sorry for the sfx. We did lower the sfx volume a bit, but I guess it's still too loud. Since it's not really a game breaking bug so I'm not sure if we can upload a fix for that.

Thanks so much for trying our game. :)
