Nice entry, especially as a solo dev! The mechanics work good and the game runs smooth.
Thank you for playing!
Fun time waster. The starting volume is too high, it can be easily changed in the settings but I feel it would be better to have a lower starting point. Good gameplay loop and mechanics. Sometimes the available upgrade path is annoying, forcing you through a certain path and can feel like forcing downgrades.
Thank you for your feedback. All of the rewards that downgrade a particular stat provide a larger increase in another stat. Had I play tested the game more rather than adding features and fixing bugs until the last minute, I would have reworked the rewards system so it isn't completely random.
Nice game to play.
I went for constantly upgrading fire rate - more bullets, more damage.
I found the audio a bit too strong, making my speakers crackle.
I wanted to do a bullet hell/heaven game, but I didn't quite get there. I was more focused on getting something playable that was close to what I wanted. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
Fun simple game with simple progression, I'd like to have seen a bit more variety in the upgrades, the couple times i'd played the game kept forcing me to slow my fire rate which made it impossible to progress, all while wanting to boost my fire rate to make it more "bullet hell" looking. Also would've liked to have my audio settings saved, got my ears soundblasted twice 😉
Sorry about that. I'll have to look in to saving the settings. I know it's possibly, I just haven't done it before in Godot. I wanted to do more with the upgrade system but time got the better of me. I just generated 20+ reward upgrades and made it mostly random. Thank for playing!
Very clean implementation, well done. I never felt out of my depth while the waves were coming. Everything felt well considered ending up in a well-rounded game loop. Good job!
Thank you very much! I appreciate you playing my game.
cool Game!THose rifleman are very difficult
I actually found a bug in the last hour before the end of the jam that was not scaling the rifleman. Once I fixed the bug I didn't have time to playtest the difficulty and even I cannot finish the 10th wave as it is for the submission. Thanks for playing!
Nice idea. Gave me tons of ideas. Nice mechanic.
Thanks for playing!
Fun game! Felt very nice to play. I like the upgrade system, kept it interesting. Good job!
Thank you for playing and for the kind words!
Very fun and well executed game! I really love the upgrade system as well as how nice it felt to shoot-- the controls felt great! Great job on your game :)
Thank you for playing my game! I appreciate the feedback and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it.
loved the wave system and different enemy types really add to the game. music could be a little more intense to increase the tension of the game. the shooting mechanic is smooth.
Thanks! I wanted to include 1 or 2 boss waves that would have had a more intense music track that I had ready to add to the game. Scope creep got the better of me and the majority of my progress happened the weekend before the jam was over so it didn't make it in. Thank you for playing!
Nicely done. I love the fact that the player can die too and the upgrade system!
One question: why has the character lost his cigar between the title screen and the game? :)
Hehe...I was using bone animation for the character model and didn't bother to include the cigar, but for the title screen I just used an idle animation sprite from the provided sprite sheet. Thank you for playing!
Really nice game. Love the upgrades.
A lot like oldschool Flash shooters.
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Fun! It reminds me of tower defense games, but with reverse bullet hell instead haha. I really liked that you could see the upgrades affecting your game (explosions on enemies, health bar,) many reverse bullet hell games I played on here are sadly missing that. Basically, good job :)
Thank you very much! I'm glad you had fun playing my game.
Good job with the UI. Very well polished for a jam game.
Thank you! It took me a while to wrap my head around making proper UI screens in Godot, but I feel like I've got a good handle on it now.
Very fun game, loved that the UI was fitting to the game and the sounds matched. Good job!
Thank you very much!
Great job at making this game by yourself. The movement felt smooth I had fun dodging the bullets and killing other enemies.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
fun game, loved that you get an upgrade after waves.
Thanks for playing!
