Cool mechanics and nice aesthetics, well done !

nice work on this. Excellent range of enemies.
I was a bit disappointed by the crossbow :P. Heavy hit, but very slow, suppose that's the trade off. I had some bugs with it where it didn't fire at all (while holding mouse, or by clicking) off and on until I died.
My suggestion would be to ramp up the pace of things to 11! :).
More and faster enemies, much quicker fire rate.

But I did enjoy it! nice set up!

Developer(+1)

Definitely a faster pace is needed in the game, the crossbow should've really had a higher fire-rate to really trade off its hefty price, so that change is coming after the jam.

Thank you for playing!

I look forward to a replay of it when you update! :)

This is a fun defense game! I like the combination of shooting arrows and building defenses; it reminds me of the games Orcs Must Die and Dungeon Defenders. The sprites look amazing, and the other existing assets you used match the aesthetic really well. The gameplay is also solid, though I must admit that I expected the arrows to be affected by gravity instead of flying straight (I think it would be a neat addition if you choose to develop the game further!).

Developer(+1)

This was my first game in Godot, so I had quite the number of issues when it came to the physics system, so it was originally supposed to be affected by gravity but had to cancel it for the more important stuff.

Thank you for your kind words and for playing!!

Ay nice job, I enjoy the combination of defending with a ranged weapon and placing down a thick layer of spike traps.

A very nice aesthetic with the art you've got in this game.

The toot of celebration at the end earned you an extra sound star ;D

*Additional waves to throw at my defences would have been nice, but also fair enough with the time constraints

The game has some nice features and a decent gameplay experience. While there are enjoyable aspects, there's still room for improvement. Keep refining it! Great Job!

Very fun game! Love the mechanics and the pixel art, also like the cool transition to the upgrade screen. I wish it didn't end so soon, I wanted to fill the screen with traps and spend more time with the crossbow! Great submission!

Developer

Thank you for you kind feedback!

I'm planning on adding more traps and enemies to the game and extend the game longer with more waves after the jam, I'll try my best to make it as good as possible.

Thank you for playing!!

Good job guys!

I wouldn't mind if it had more waves so I could use my cross bow longer but still fun

Developer(+1)

I was making the waves half an hour before the deadline so I couldn't add much more in time (sorry!)

+ I'm only 1 guy, there is only me!

Enjoyable game, like the pause in between waves so no pressure on purchases being made - nice interaction between the traps you could buy. Good job!
